Rented truck through the 24/7 uhaul option, went to pick up, the location closed at 7pm although my reservation was at 7:30pm. Called beforehand to confirm my location was still on and to make sure location was a 24/7 pickup. Got there and had to refill all my paperwork that I had done online while talking on the phone with a worker about my situation through the store phone. Received another call on my cellphone from u haul and they had told me my reservation was canceled. On the store phone somehow managed to get my reservation to go through and finally got the truck at 7:55pm. Very unorganized and not professional on both the store and u haul. Would not rent at this location again.

this is the worse service i ever gotâ€" i arrived on time and the person was in the back room doing whateverâ€" he was a hour and half late! then he told me that i could bring it back before midnight with no extra chargeâ€" you freaking charge me for bringing it before due time. I will never ever use uhaul and I have been a long time consumerâ€" you ripped people off and misled them and you have people running the company not doing their jobs right â€"they were letting me stand in heat outside while i was waiting. I will make sure anyone asking for recommendations, that I will always give you a negative review for the rest of my life. no thanks

I was charged an extra day when I dropped the uhaul truck off the next day after picking it up. I called for a refund and it took me 2 days to get ahold of someone in the office. A woman answered and said she would have someone reach out but no one has called me.

I was a walk in, everything was great at this location. Now my first visit was right next to the store ai purchased a fridge and needed it for an hour. With over 29 trucks in the lot the clerk never looked up barely acknowledged I was there and said we're totally booked.

The 1st truck had a dead battery. The second truck was on empty the guy that rented me the truck said to but 50.00 in the tank and he would credit me. I put 50.00 in the tank and another 20.00 Right before I returns it there was over 1/4 tank when dropped of and I was still charged 62.00 fuel charge. Worse U-haul location ever.

I want a refund honestly. I did a one town over not even over so many miles and I got charged about 297$ and you guys promote “$19.99” a day. The manager didn't know how to help me at that site, he said you guys don't even take care of all the broke down trucks there and it's not even an authorized rental site. I am very upset and would like a manager to call me back ASAP because I'm over the “we will put in a complaint”

The uhaul was somewhat clean in the front, but when we loaded everything into the back it had clumps of dirt all over the floor, dog fur all over the seats and the entire van smelled like stale cigarettes.

The first truck rented was damaged. The dash glass was broken and it didn't start. Almost every truck in the parking lot was unlocked. The clerk was too busy ringing people up and actually didn't know how to help with the uhaul business. I was helped with a phone call. You really shouldn't have Uhaul at this location.

The absolute worst UHaul experience I've had in the past 16 years of renting. From the faulty equipment, to the awfully rude and disorganized customer service on the phone and inside the location. I rarely take the time to make a complaint but this was a disaster. I do t know if I will rent with Uhaul again or not but I definitely will not go to that location ever. Period.

Arriving early came with a penalty, and not one that was communicated clearly. I waited for 20 minutes while they sorted through lots of keys and took care of customers buying groceries, was told the keys had not arrived yet, when suddenly a set of keys was thrust at me with nothing else. No departure docs, no confirmation of contract, no options to buy a lock, no boxes, did not even get clear indication to which vehicle on the lot it would be. Tried keys on every truck until I found the right one. I wound up going to an actual UHAUL location where they helped give me paperwork, which needed to be corrected, and provide the rest of the items I needed. Was a massive waste of time while we were already busy. Would NEVER want to go there again, makes me question UHAUL.

Reimburse when such incidents happen. The van I had rented had a clearly broken fuel gauge. The inconvenience of having to fuel the van after having been told it had a half tank of gas. Also, the fact that I could not add much fuel into it, since the fuel pump kept stopping, perhaps because of the faulty fuel gauge. Again, the van stopping in the middle of the freeway. Fortunate it did not cause any accidents. And the amount of time spent in the whole endeavor, is very un appealing, since I expected the reliability of uhaul to be much better than the one I experienced. On top of that, there was no reimbursement. PISS POOR RATING.

Employees do not know what they are doing or what is being rented out. You talk to an agent over the phone to check in as the employees at the grocery store do not have the ability to check you in. I rented a vehicle trailer and picked it up/returned it on time at the same location. I was called the next day saying I had not returned said trailer and that employees could not find said trailer, although it was parked in the same spot I picked it up from. I was told by uhual I would need to file a police report. Why would I need to do this as it was given back to employees and at which point it was in their possession. An employee had said I “Was good to go.” I returned to the location of pickup to find said “missing trailer” sitting in the parking spot where I had returned it the previous night. I called uhual and told them the trailer was present in the parking lot. I provided them with the serial of the trailer that I had returned and they told me it was not the trailer I had rented out. There was only one trailer on the lot when I picked it up and there was not another trailer when I dropped it off except the one I had just obviously returned. Uhual told me I needed to return the trailer and that they would be “looking at cameras” to prove I had dropped it off because there were supposedly two trailers. I then went inside and spoke with what I believe is the store manager. He was no not there the previous day. I explained to the manager my story and he told me that the trailer I had was not the trailer that was rented out to me. Manager told me I needed to return the trailer that was missing. I showed him a picture of the trailer I had rented out with the serial number of the trailer that was outside. I proved him wrong with the picture. Manager then asks me why I hadn't checked the serial numbers of the trailer that was outside. I explained to him that it was not my job to check serial numbers on the trailers and that their employee was the one who led us to the trailer. Again, I said it was the only trailer outside at the time I picked it up and that there was not another trailer when I picked it up. The manager finally made the connection between the pictures I took when I hooked up the trailer and the video he was able to see showing us picking up/dropping off the trailer in the same vehicle. At least he apologized for the mistake and said they would “take care of it.” 1: the second trailer was missing and they did not notice it stolen and rented it out the other trailer to me or 2: the trailer was purposely missing so when I checked out the other trailer, it would have looked like i had stolen it and not returned it. Not saying this happened but this was not a great experience. If it weren't for the pictures I took, I wound not have been able to prove the trailer I took. Anyways, take pictures before/after you return!

The location opened up late when I asked about the reservation guarantee They said there was a 15min window. It doesn't show that on website. and no one to hook up trailer or to make sure lights were working. I had assumed they worked until I got home to have someone look for me

The trailer wasn't even listed for me to pick up and there was two at this location, but instead you guys wanted me to travel over 40 miles and then return it to that same location. The person that rents the uhaul at this location was no present when I rented the trailer, you guys overcharged my debit card and added features that I did not agree to.

I returned a truck and trailer at 5pm PST on November 28th. All they did was take the keys and say thank you. I asked if I needed to do anything else and they didn't seem to understand the question and just said thank you again. I contacted uhaul by chat and they said that was normal. On December 1st I got a receipt for only the truck saying it was returned on the 30th and had an extra charge. Contacted uhaul again and they said the trailer was never checked in. I have been trying to contact the return location but they do not seem to understand English and I cannot explain that they didn't check in the trailer. This needs fixed yesterday.

I got overcharged way too much for miles I didn't use and then it took the transaction completely off of my bank statement and it still took the money. I estimated I was going to drive 50 miles. And only drove 17 miles. I never got reimbursed or anything.

I was overcharged for my rental. I was charged for additional gas, a clean up fee, and upgraded insurance option without my authorization. I returned the truck with the gas that I began with and there were items left in the truck from the renters prior to me. I seem to be paying fees for the people using the truck before me. It was confirmed I would only be charged $60 but was charged $260. Very unhappy.

When picking up the keys, verbally share about the fuel refill requirement. And when dropping off the keys confirm the bill right then. Because we had to wait to findnout the final bill, i decided to go back into the van and take a picture of the fuel gauge and miles, in case there was a dispute later. But everything worked out fine. I would rent from the same location if we needed to rent again.

I had nothing but problems with this truck. Truck was so dirty and disgusting inside and out. It looked like it hasn't been clean in forever. Then when I arrived to my destination to start loading the truck we realized that trucks catholic convertor was stolen. So then had to wait for 4 hours till you guys decided if you were gonna fix it or replace. Which delayed my move almost 6 hours And cost me Additional $250 for my mover helpers. Then once I finally started my trip, the truck over heated 4 times which led me to stop and wait for it to cool down for 2 hours each time. The engine light was on pretty much the whole trip. Then I was stopped at the California border due to the catholic convertor that they so called fixed wasn't properly done which caused the truck to be really loud. So we were stopped for 4 hours at the border till finally they just let us go. This whole trip should of lasted 18 hours but with all the problems with the horrible Truck, it turned into a 31 hour trip. I was charged $1,300 for a truck that didn't work properly and gave me nothing but problems which I think is not right.

This place was a run down grocery center. I dropped the keys off and asked if I needed to do anything to return my uhaul. 2 hours later I got a receipt for an extra day charge and miscellaneous damage. This was because they processed my return late and didn't look for 12 moving blankets in the back of the truck

I was hit with a $241 charge for "Missing/Damage Fee". No explanation of what this charge is referring to. I went to the return location and got zero information. I have an issue with this, as I took great care of the vehicle know for a fact nothing was struck or damaged, definitely nothing missing. This is not a good business practice.

I received notice to confirm our rental. We call the number given and are given a different number that went to voicemail. After no return call my husband calls again and is received a message that the voicemail box has not been set up. My husband stops in to talk to them and is told by the store workers that the uhaul rep does everything by phone or email. When we picked up the uhaul they called him and we had to wait for him to call back. We picked it up and the inside was clean but the front was not. I don't want to rent from this location again, it was stressful not being able to get good communication.

The location is a in a little market with no signage indicating that it is located inside. At the desk the representative just handed me a phone when i walked in and asked where the UHaul desk was…. I tried to understand how billing would be handled etc…But being that i was standing in line at the grocery couldn't hear or understand what was billed etc…

I dont know about the place but trying to return the vehicle was a nightmare. The online app was confusing. Unable to upload the pictures and info about mileage. Had to make numerous calls to try to get some answers.

They could not find my reservation, initial clerk struggled with English. This is in a higher crime area of my town. It did work out. Eventually. once the owner. Arrived it got cleared up. They are new to it, so I will give them another try next time if my local typical place does not have available trucks.

Location was super complicated. It wasn't clear where I was supposed to pick up the keys and I was made to wait for their boss. Then they told me to check in online, but I was having difficulties. They then handed me their phone saying here is the U-HAUL guy. The gentleman on the phone actually helped walk me through the process. The clerks then just handed me the keys and didn't tell me where to find the truck so I had to wander the parking lot. By far the WORST u-haul pickup I've ever experienced. Never going to that location again and I will never recommend it to anyone. I'm not ruined on U-HAUL, but I am on that freaking store. There's another legitimate U-HAUL about a block away and I'll be going there next time.

I was charged for 2 days even though I returned the vehicle within an hour of picking it up. Uhaul should take initiative to check in vehicles as soon as they're returned not the next day so that customer unfairly gets charged.

I used uhauls online check in for the first time, hoping it would make it easier on everyone. When I got to my location, I noticed it was a store front and after signing in with uhaul it told me to go inside and get the keys. The employees there would not give me the keys, and told me “wait just a few minutes”. I figured he was getting confirmation from uhaul, even though I had the code to show him which keys to give me. I rented the truck for 4 hours, because I knew I would need it only for the 4 hours. I scheduled it for an appointment to drop off my house in boxes to ship... this cost me around $700, and once again, I had an appointment for this. 30 minutes into waiting for my uhaul keys, the guy tells me “my boss is not answering”. I'm not exactly why he was waiting for his boss, when he should've been able to go through the process without him. This started stressing me out really bad because I knew I needed all four hours, and I also needed to make my appointment to ship off all of my items, because I fly out of state the next day and there was no way I would be able to delay this another day. Uhaul eventually was on the phone with the employee where I FINALLY was able to receive the key. I had to rush to make sure I would make it to drop off my stuff in time, but it was 30 minutes before my appointment now, and I hadn't even got home yet to fill the uhaul with my packages. I was almost an hour late to my appointment, and if I would have been any longer, the place would have closed and I would have not been able to ship my items. If I wasn't able to ship my items, there was no point in me getting the uhaul, there would have been no point in buying my plane ticket, and no point in me spending $700 to ship my household goods to my new home. So all in all, I was almost out $1000 because of some miscommunication, or something on the stores fault. I do not believe uhaul should continue services with this store, and maybe look into a better way for online pickups so customers do not have to deal with the struggle I did today.
