Picked up a truck at 10:00 a.m. and I was told that it had to be back by 4:00 for another renter. Shouldn't I have been told this before pickup so I could plan? Then, I called the facility to let them know that I might by 15-20 minutes late but would definitely have the truck back in time for the 4:30 renter. At 4:10, as I was leaving my house to return the truck, the rental facility employee called to let me know that the 4:30 renter had cancelled and I could "take my time". I told him I was on my way back with the truck. When I dropped off the truck, the same employee told me that he should be charging me for a second day, since I was late, but he'd waive that as a favor. A FAVOR? I left a third of my property at my old address because I ran out of time with the truck. Now I have to rent ANOTHER truck, which I will do from another facility. The U-Haul I rented was stolen while in my possession. All my belongings were inside. I filed a police report immediately. U-Haul was notified when the vehicle was recovered they did not notify me in a timely fashion. I was hospitalized over this incident as everything I owned was stolen 30 days later I found an email from them when the hospital gave me my phone back only to discover that U-Haul was now billing me for $1,577. I called and spoke to someone who accused me of inviting homeless people into a hotel room or there were drugs and alcohol. They accused me of being negligent careless and sketchy. I had never taken drugs certainly never invited multiple people into a hotel room that I didn't know I am not a sketchy person I'm a responsible woman age 58 I was taken advantage of and I am a victim and now Uhaul is making me a victim again they are taking my things, virtually everything I own in this world and won't even tell me where they are they want money for outrageous and outlandish fees and I am one person up against a company the size of U-Haul. I do not have the money to pay for these fees to get back my property. The person I spoke with on the phone had only one answer she could not tell me anything about anything until I paid the entire balance she had no empathy she had no understanding and she wasn't even willing to listen. I sincerely hope that anyone considering a rental from U-Haul considered finding another way to move. I am still without my belongings which frankly are worth more than the UHaul truck itself. the woman I spoke to said she was looking at a photograph of what was in the Uhaul and to her it looked like garbage it was my things in boxes there was no garbage she said there was some furniture that appear to have been written all over. your French provincial chest that have French script on them this is how I purchase them and this is why I purchase them every word that came out of her mouth was derogatory and she treated me as if I were a criminal I am the victim. if I knew her name I would tell you but I don't before this is all said and done I assure you I will and I will never supervisors name never ever have I been treated so poorly by any company in all my years of life don't you business with Uhaul they have no interest in their clients.sandra S.

Two old guys in the office have 0 customer service skills. Truck smelled like someone was growing marijuana in the back. Gas tank was on e with hardly any miles left yet I was still expected to fill it up to a quarter tank costing me an unnecessary additional 30 dollars. Learned my lesson with U-Haul. Budget truck was by far a better experience.KC N.

we tried to call first before coming down. Got an answering machine, so we drove down there. Everything worked out ok, but if we got there and no truck, it would have been a big waste of time. Just a suggestion ~ Also, the key drop is not designed for the vehicle rented. Since closed on Sundays, we would have been charged extra.SAMUEL D.

Truck was muddy inside and smelled like cat urine. I was not concerned by all the dings and scratches; but the driver door seemed to have difficulty closing all the way unless you really forced it. Inside ceiling padding was detached at the door. We had to wait while the truck was swept out by the attendant. Very nice fellows working at the desk though, so we did not mind. Truck drove well and performed just fine and the customer service was really great, so I would rent from them again.Paulette H.

I had a bad experience. I was charged double on this rental. I was charged incorrectly for the mileage. The gentlemen were rude. Huffed that they were right and charged me double. When i asked for a supervisor they aggressively told me there is no one higher then them to talk to. After I asked for a fourth time for a supervisor they then said well if its through u haul. I can call them myself. Then they said but if i want to talk to someone at the mini storage that they can give my email address to some guy and he can get back to me when he feels but since it is a truck issue then redirected me to uhaul. I know I had to talk to someone at uhaul but obviously they cant do their job. Also I then rerented the cargo van again for another 2 days. This was colombus day weekend. I didnt know the office was closed on colombus day and they didnt say anything. And the guy kept telling me it was no problem to extend my contract for an extra day or two so when the office was closed on colombus day. I kept the truck for one more day. They flipped out on me. I had a lady calling me at 700Am on tuesday morning,rude as hell, telling i am stealing the van and i needed to return it immediately. I said the office is closed so since i had to keep it one more day i will return it at my drop off time since i am already being charged. She refuses and demands again for me to return it and says we dont have a contract and says that i have a bad attitude. This is the worst experiences i have had with uhaul. It gets worse. When i return it a couple of hours later. The office is closed again. But we wait 20mins and people are also coming to the door and thats when the guy comes out and lets us all in. He double charges us and tells us he refuses to fix it. We pay the whole bill on a second card and he still has the charges on my credit card. How does that make any sense. He then tells us we can rent from another uhaul place. Then places my account on theft alert. I went to another uhaul place to rent a truck and they hand me a paper that says uhaul is not suppose to trust my friends and family because I stole the cargo van i just paid for and returned. They uhaul company tells me they need to call my family before they can rent to me. I didnt know they had the theft alert on me yet. I asked why and they said because i have no rental history at this location. They are liars because this is the location i rent from. The other store i was directed to on the first rental and i just assumed the c.h. store was that one and when i was wrong and told to go to the other store the guy Andrew was hella rude and wouldnt help me figure out where the other atore was at. So then once i am told to call a number they they said it was for nonpayment which is bullshit because we paid it before left the other location. And why the fuck would u guys need to call my family or not trust them if it was for nonpayment. I have never been so disrespected from ur guys's company before in my life. HowNicole P.
