The man was polite but I felt he was overwhelmed with having to run a gas station and u haul at the same time. He wasn't able to show us the u haul truck properly, he was rushing because of other customers for his gas station. The cab of the truck rental itself was disgusting. It was dirty and dusty on the dashboard and floors. That means it hadn't been disinfected and cleaned, not very smart during this pandemic! It also smelled so strong of body odor. So strong, it gave me a headache for a bit. Next time, I'd be willing to go to another location and drive a few more miles to get a clean rental. Overall, I'm still thankful for u haul and their services.SHERRY R.

The clerk at the gas station was extremely rude and short and offered no explanations. The truck was completely disgusting Nikki from top to bottom, it had a broken gas cap so the reading cannot possibly be accurate when your gas line is filled with air. The whole experience was ridiculous and I will never use that location again.Courtney K.
Charged me 2 days for the rental even though I picked up at 9:30 am and dropped it back off at 1. When we got they're, only 1 guys was they're. When we returned same guy. Once We received the charge the gentlemen stated we returned it a day later. He also charged me for 2 dolly even though I only got one and said I returned a day later. When I returned it I asked for a reciept and he said since it I did it on line I would receive an email. I suggest you just go to a U-Haul storage place for the future. The U-Haul smelt like smoke, had damage all over the body and the guy didn't even check miles out or in, and charged me for another 24hrs even though I rented for 3.5 hrsDeane H.
This place has unprofessional men. They are rude, refuse to talk to you and hang up when you have questions. They over charge you and refuse to help you understand any charges. I will tell everyone I know to use a different company.Chandra W.
Overcharged me for things I did not choose, said I returned the truck the day after even tho I had it for TWO hours and returned the same day. Said the gas was missing. So was charged extra for a bunch of things I didn't do/ want. Then called customer service waited on hold for 45 mins to be told I needed to wait for a supervisor to call. They never called. The agent who checked me in kept ringing up other customers for miscellaneous items making me wait. I didn't get my truck till 8:50 and was scheduled for 8:30. He kept questioning we're I parked to pick up the truck and even walked outside to find MY CARâ€¦ taking more time. He also checked my truck in late which caused the system to charge me $40 extra. It was the WORST uhaul experience of my life. Bad service, mixed with a rude employeeâ€¦ why do you have a uhaul at a gas station. The truck was parked way to closed the curb and another truck. I didn't feel comfortable moving it because of liability. He laughed at me. I asked for a truck with more clearance. He said noâ€¦ moved my truck laughed looked at me and said â€œabara cadabaraâ€ If I didn't fear god and the consequences of going to jail I would have body slammed face first into the groundJustin J.
The truck was filthy inside and out. Dolly was hanging by the blade on the wooden side rail. We had to sweep the back out before using. The truck was given to use with 1/8 of gas. I have rented several times from other locations. I was appalled at the trucks appearance & lack of gas.AMY M.
The customer service was awful. He fought with me about whether or not the truck was even there, and when I proved to him it was, he says I am lucky. I RESERVED IT! In all my years of using uhaul this was my worst experience. For a 1 way trip I feel I was over charge. To top it off the man working at the drop off location never came to check the truck just told me to hand him the key. Next thing I know I got another bill for over $100. I went to uhaul to see what that bill was about. The young man working let me know The guy who told me â€œhand him the keysâ€ put on their I turned In the truck with no gas. I've been using uhaul for years I always fill it up like I did this time. I contacted the 800 number told them what that guy put down ultimately charging me for something that wasn't true. They told me that they'll make a note of it. Ridiculous!marie H.

First, my reservation was at 55â€220 Auburn Blvd and they called me to move to another one because they didn't have the one I did reserved. Second, you need to give a written copy to clients and check trucks with customers. I did fill gas at Costco going back to return the truck and today checking my receipt they charged me $13.75. I couldn't upload pictures of the truck and later It said it was something wrong. Also I did call to customer service and wait for 15 minutes without talking to someone. I won't recommend U-haul!!BETHIA M.
It took over 30 minutes to leave the Auburn 76 with the truck. The person working at the station was helping other customers who were coming in for gas or food and made me wait. Very poor service. Also the truck was dirty with a plastic bottle and cigarette butts inside. I will not rent from u-haul again.Steven T.

They didn't have the uhaul I reserved. The guy was on the phone with a friend. They gave me a smaller uhaul with no gas said if I brought it back with a quarter tank They would give me a credit didn't give the credit charger me for the uhaul I wanted and didn't get. The online check-in took a really long time and I still needed to get the key from the gas station employee. It was a waste of time and would have been faster to do a normal pickup, since it didn't lower my exposure to other people at all.Jillian M.
We rented a dolly, but there was no dolly. Unfortunately, we didn't check until we got to our destination. Also, we had to get someone to move another U-haul so that we could get out because the truck they gave us was blocked in.Ernesto L.

I was miss charged for my gas after drop off. I returned at full tank and was charged 10gallons of fuel equalling to $50. Hopefully support will fix it but if they don't I warn anyone who uses this place to do your own return on the app. Thanks!Rachel J.

Have more than one truck in stock, and have the vehicles properly maintained. The truck needed oil, the air conditioning didn't work, and the windshield wipers didn't work. They didn't do a safety inspection. They didn't have pads, and the dolly didn't have any straps. When we arrived to pick up the truck, he had to do everything on his phone to write up the contract and reserve a truck. Because he runs his U-Haul business out of a gas station, he had to keep ringing people up while we waited to the side.JOHN M.
I called the location to rent a truck. He saud they didnt have one. I called uhaul and they made the reservation at the same location that said they didnt have a truck. I went in to pick it up. I guess the owner is the only one to do the rental. He took my id handed me the key and that was it no thank you nothing. I brought the truck back went into the store to return. The guy asked my name. He said ok im all set. I said no someone needs to check it in now.. He saud the owner will when he gets back. I said ill wait. Then the cashier saud he will be right out. I said I thought he was gone? The owner came out and saud ok your done ill email a receipt. I said can you check it now he said it was fine. I dont think he like to deal with uhaul at all. I received my receipt and he added insurance even after I refused it when I did the online check in. So I want that refunded. I know why he did thag because im sure it goes right to him. He gave me no receipt when i left with the truck nor when I returned. Very rude. Or he just doesnt like to deal with Gay people. I buy storage Units weekly and rent a truck weekly. I called the guy at 76 station to tell him I'd be late to pick up, he said is this Carin Bowman ok no problem. When I got there he said I wasn't in the system and acted like we haven't spoken. I had two workers waiting for me at 50 per hour while he called the guy from Uhaul. Eventually I was given the truck but I nearly had a heart attack. Not cool needless stress added to an already stressful situation. He sent me off without any payment information. I was like hey do you need me to pay now or later and he was like oh yeah you need to pay now. Total Bozo!carin B.

When I initially went to pick up my rental in California City at ACE hardware, I was informed that my reservation had be cancelled 2 days after I made it. I did not receive a phone call nor an email saying that is was cancelled. I called uhaul and they told me that it had been cancelled but no one could tell me why. I was then on the phone for nearly an hour trying to find another truck so that I could continue my move. I spoke with a very competent lady named Vicky who was very helpful and found me another rental that was 50 miles away in the opposite direction of my move. I had no choice but to get a ride to Ridgecrest, CA and then drive the truck all the way back to California City. Vicky was probably the only good part of my experience with uhaul. The shear lack of communication was mind boggling and it caused and added amount of unnecessary stress to both my family and I. I will not be recommending uhaul to any one of my friends and will no longer give you my business.Christopher M.

I called with questions and the man who answered just ignored me half the time on the phone and then got angry when I would ask if he was there. Didnt try to help me with my issues or anything. The person working was dismissive did not take the time to check to confirm my equipment drop off. I was turned away even after showing my contract. Then after being on hold with UHAUL when I spoke with the useless scheduling department who would not allow me to return to elsewhere I had to go back to this location. The representative was threatening, aggressive, and rude. I feel unsafe returning, but again the useless liars at the scheduling for UHAUL said I could not return equipment elsewhere even though I do not feel safe. They lied and said other people have scheduled the equipment and must be dropped off there. Well, I had an appointment in one city and to pick up in two different cities, so I know they could have made the changeJennifer G.

at this location was good.... BUT.... BUT.... I don't remember EVER having to pay for Mileage, I rented from Uhaul before, last time was 8 years ago..... I made sure there was gas put back in truck, and paid the rental fee..... $64 is too much, I will check others like Home Depot next time..... Uhaul never again....Scott W.

Johnny went above and beyond the call of duty for me. My roommate had destroyed my room and thousands of dollars worth of my stuff. My only choice was to move and Johnny made every thing so much easier. I came in crying from stress and our final interaction left me with a smile. Johnny helped me far more than with renting a unit and returning the truck. Johnny gave me a glimpse of hope, which means much more than I could ever ask for because my middle name is hope. Thank you Johnny. This heart broken heart got a bandaid and a safe move today thanks to Johnny. I wish every u-haul rental experience was like this. Don't use self service pick up Absolutely no assist from the store They know less than I did about the process. The truck had 3/4 tank not full. No security, the truck could have easily had gas stolen. Best to have knowledge about self service. My daughter got me through the process. The qouted cost of truck was not what we paid. Last minute pressures prevent you from disputing the cost. That's an outright SCAM.Jack R.

There wasn't a utility dolly in the truck but I was charged for one. It took almost an hour to check in remotely, partly it was my fault for having my phone number wrong but when I was trying to message on the site, there was NO ANSWER. I had to then call and was on hold for another 15 minutes. I only had the truck for 6 hours, that lost hour impacted my whole move and I didn't even want to ask for more time because it would take too long.Jeannie M.
I haven't checked with the location, but I know I left my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in the cab in a SOLO case that folds for support while viewing. They have information on me, why didn't they call to tell me? The guy who helped didn't speak but 3 words, drop box there and pointed for us to go back outside. Shady character. I am very upset, it was used when I purchased it for a mere hundred dollars, but it contains a lot of personal things and the general principal, to not even try to get ahold of me about it. The mobile pick-up was a pain to deal with since it wouldn't load or had inaccurate information. Once it finally went through, my vehicle was already blocked in by another U'Haul truck in the front. I had to wait an 1 and a half hoping that another customer was going to pick up the vehicle in front of me. Call several times to U'Haul customer service, but never got through. I had to drive to an actual U'Haul location and wait in long for 30 to 40 minutes. The representatives there couldn't void my previous contract so she call someone to have them moved the car. We went back to the same location and saw that two other people were also trying to get their vehicle, but were also block in by the same car. We wait another 30 minutes before another customers was able to get the vehicle out of the way, which didn't belong to them. I spent 3 hours waiting to get this U'Haul and wasted most of the day. Not a pleasant experience this turn out to be.Tong T.
