VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN. Got sent to a location that wasn't even considered a location. Spent an hour on the phone with customer service, got transferred 4 times, hung up on twice! Just awful. Waited 2 hours, Finally got in touch with someone who was VERY rude. Told me that everything â€œwasn't her problemâ€. The windshield wipers were awful, they need to check to make sure everything on the truck works. We got caught in the rain because ether windshield wipers were terrible. Got my location changed AGAIN back to the same place I picked up when I specifically did NOT want to go back there. Just terrible service and a horrible system. I would rather pay more for better service than settle for this.Payton V.

Please tell all rental customers that the U-Haul van they rent cannot be parked on most streets in NYC. The Traffic officer gave me a big ticket for parking in front of my apartment, completely legally as I was advised to do by the rental agent. He informed me that "commercial vehicles cannot be parked in that location after 5:00pm" This was the first time in my life I ever heard of such a thing. U-Haul must inform its customers of this infraction. I believe they have the majority responsibility to do this informing of the customer such as myself. I would appreciate it if U-Haul would pay this ticket this time and I will pay it next time if this ever comes up again.Craig B.

Awful experience. We reserved a uhaul ahead of time. Had to go to multiple locations to find a uhaul. Had to cancel our movers because they didn't give us a truck in time. Clean truck properly and make sure rear Box doesn't smell like WEED... my furniture now smells like weed because in the back smelled so bad. but due to deadline I had to use the truck. also gas tank was less than 1/4 tank. it should be full tank upon pickup. and returned full tankMUHAMMAD N.

They need a more accurate location for the trucks. I had to go looking for it, it was parked around the corner from the location given. The truck had trash in the rear, which I removed before realizing I could report it in the app. (Likely someone put it there overnight, not on U-Haul technically). The app crashed when I tried to check the truck back in. There was no representative from the company in the rental office to check me in. I left the key with a business partner (multi-business office) at the location. Later that day, 1/4/20, after receiving one phone call/voicemail to contact them regarding completing checkout, I was charged for a two day rental when the account was finally closed the following day, 1/5/20. I have left a message with U-Haul requesting resolution to this, and am still awaiting an answer to this issue as of this writing, 1/6/20. (I will update this review if possible if this issue is addressed.)Kenneth R.

I tried to rent from this location I reserved the truck and when I arrived 1 the quick check out didn't work and the employee for uhaul didn't come in that day so I had to delay my move until the next day. When I received the truck it was filled with garbage in the back and just overall dirty. Horrible experienceEbony M.

Our drivers side mirror was cracked and we were told either we take the uhaul as is or we would have to wait at least an hour for another uhaul to become available. We were on a time crunch and had to take the uhaul as is. The uhauls car battery died on us and we had to call roadside assistance. We ended up moving the final things in our own personal car because we were stuck for 2 hours waiting for assistance. There was acid on the battery and the roadside assistance had to clean it off. He even said this is not okay for us to be driving. Horrible horrible service from uhaulBryant J.

My issue is not with the location, but with the reservation service. I reserved a van online for 4:30 only to get to the location and be told I had a box truck instead. As a result, I couldn't use the Grand Central Parkway, which doubled what was supposed to be an 18-mile trip. That was unacceptable and ended up costing me more money than I had planned.Gary H.

We were not treated fairly at the Liberty Ave location, we had to go to another location to rent our truck. The customer service at 766 Liberty ave location were disrespectful and nasty. They never really acknowledge while we were here. They were unprofessional, rude, and the office was a mess. I want to thank the customer service at the 1100 Loring Ave location, there were professional and fair. Because of the way we was treatment Haul will never get my service again.Dionne W.

It took the â€œuhaul locationâ€ which is actually a cell phone store about 45 mins to have someone come from a different location to hook the towable trailer to my vehicle. And even then guys off the street came to help. I've used 3 different uhaul products over the past week. All from different locations. This by far was the worst experience. I can't believe uhaul as a company allows this type of stuff to go on.TODD N.
