BOB SThey maxed out my credit card and told me to get a bigger truck than I needed. They took advantage of me when I already told them I was illegally evicted.
Anne Sthey did not want to deal with or help me with what was stuck on the truck. they said their DOLLY would be back the next day, so i told them they can call me as soon as the dolly was returned and i would drive over there and take it off. that wasn't good enough.

Reyes GThe mileage was 4 miles extra than the initial reservation and I was charged for it. I booked and was told that the safemove fee is only $5, turns out it's $15. The gas was only 1/8 of the full, yet they said it was 3/8 and they charged me $80 for refueling!
Nour AThe low rating is for one specific reason. You require your customers to upload photos of the vehicle when they get it, otherwise they're liable for any and all possible damages. However the page where I'm supposed to capture and upload photos is so buggy it's actually broken. Loading forever, then can't take the pic, then takes the pic and freezes, so I have to start over. Finally I've captured the pictures, and I tap "Upload". But then an error message says "you must upload pictures..." Isn't that what I'm trying to do?! Jesus, what an idiotic experience. It's unacceptable when you're threatening to hold your customers liable for all possible damages. I gave up after 20 minutes and didn't complete the process. I have an iPhone and I do stuff like this all the time, so it's definitely a problem with your site, not me. I will not be using uhaul again. The one bit of good news: the gentlemen at ASA Liquors who administered the rental are very friendly and provide excellent service.
Jonathan MI originally requested pick up in Alameda; night before got text saying go to main terminal at San Leandro Street, Oakland, several miles from Alameda. Sent email confirming new location and confirming 15' truck/van. No respsonse. Showed up at 10:00 am, per plan, but of course I was already delayed because location was miles further from where I was going to start the move. After going thru paperwork, another half hour, I was advised for the first time that they had no 15' foot trucks (at the main terminal??) and I was offered a 26' van. Way too big. So they called around (more time lost) and sent me to Emeryville. Did not tell me it was a liquor store. Also, was on Market--there are two in Emeryville. After determining which ones it was, found the liquor store on a residential street. Only determined UHaul becuase of truck in front. Told clerk I had reservation. Showed license. Told no good because it was expired; showed them DMV extension issuef by DMV, still said no because computer would not recognize. Said had already been approved at the Oakland terminal. Now getting later and later; finally let my assistant rent truck, but I am not authorized to drive because no UHaul computer approved license, even though it was DMV valid. Arrive at original moving site nearly two hours late. Load truck in the middle of a very hot day. Leave so late that we hit commute traffic, and instead of arriving to destination at bout 3 pm, arrive at 6:30. Ultimately called UHaul on next day, and original person said there was nothing they could do. Asked for supervisor, who I repeated, for the third time, the misadventures. She, finally, took action to correct the various mishaps and extended my time with the equipment.

IHEANYI NPerson behind the counter could give a shit. He eventually just gave me his phone to talk to someone who actually knew what they were doing. They didn't have the utility dolly I ordered and paid for. Despite me calling and trying to make sure I wasn't charged for a dolly I never received, I was still charged for it. Avoid at all costs.
Anthony RThere was no washer fluid in the truck. The owner just handed me the keys after I signed, no initial inspection or confirmation of miles and gas tank level, and then he overcharged me for almost twice as many miles. It took me several phone calls and about half an hour to get a refund, thankfully I took pictures when I left and when I got back.
Brady CIt is a convenient location. When I arrived for a pick up, the assistant manning the counter was unable to help me. I had to return a half hour later when the owner who had the necessary apps on his phone was able to give me the vehicle.

Cheng HPretty sure we were just ripped off. We were charged double the amount of a previous use of the service. We will have to contest these charges and seriously doubt ever using a service that could take on $70-80 of fees without warning.
Aaron Mthis location didn't check the odometer on return and charged us for 39 mi when we did significantly less. they also added the $15 trip insurance fee when we declined to add it.
Colin SThe person whom I picked the truck up from at ASA Liquors was completely unhelpful. I did a remote check in and went inside for the keys. He kept telling me I wasn't on his list. I showed him my reservation and the receipt showing the charge of $685. He said I made the reservation too far in advance and it disappeared. He told me to call U-Haul. I waited on hold for 10 minutes. When the person on the phone at U-Haul verified my reservation the person at ASA Liquors balked and still didn't want to give me the keys to the rental truck. He finally gave me a set of keys that didn't go with the truck. After watching my husband and I struggle with the keys he brought out another set of keys that worked and we drove away. First of all, ASA Liquors should have called U-Haul to resolve the issue, not me. ASA Liquors could have been much nicer and more helpful. I will never go there again nor recommend it to anyone. He wasted 30 minutes of my time. The truck had less than a quarter tank of gas. I had to immediately go fill up the gas tank. Horrible experience.

Lakenya CThe people that operate this location are fraudsters. They lied about how much fuel we used and how we returned the rental. They charged us for fuel we did not use. We have pictures showing the exact start mileage and fuel. Do not rent from these guys. They are liars and cheats.
Alfredo AVery convenient, very nice people, very efficient. Pickup took ten minutes (only because I had to upload DL info, otherwise would have been 2 minutes), dropoff was even quicker. Receipt (with no surprises) arrived within an hour. This will be my go-to U-haul location in the future.

Kathryn RI took a teuck of 10 not 20! I should be charged $19.95 not $39.95, also at my cars I was charged $103.59 and $111.30 What is this? The person behind the counter said everything is fine, no paperwork and after this? Please review this as soon as possible, this is called trust!

Daniel BTerrible experience. Scammers work at this address. They took advantage of the situation, I don't know English, they deceived me. I could not sign a contract on my own before renting, asked for help, and in the end I was given a completely different odometer, fuel level and a paid service was added. At the end of the lease, I had to pay extra money for all this, which I did not expect. Know that if you read this review by deceiving people, you won't get richer. God is your judge!
Maksim VThe location was easily accessible. But no attention to detail or making sure we had everything we reserved.. The moving trucks floor was dirty. We reserved a dolly but never received it. Instead received about 20 blankets we did not need.
