1. Don't offer the option to prepay if it isn't going to be accepted/approved by Uhaul. Warn people that even if they prepay they may need to put down a $100 deposit. 2. Make sure your website and computer system is up to date and actually works properly. 3. Don't FORCE customers to sign ANYTHING or digitally approve pictures that are inaccurate and taken hours prior to pick up, before the customer sees the truck. 4. Do your job up to corporate's standards. I.e. Update your keychains to the proper ones with the information on it. Make sure you verify and enter properly the mileage upon the previous return and DOUBLE CHECK that the mileage upon handling a key to a customer is truly what the computer system believes it should be. Tell your customers how much gas was in the truck upon pick up and tell them that they only need to fill it back up to that amount. (We were unaware and thought we had to completely fill the tank, paying at least an extra $15 in gas. And, don't approve a pre-payment and have it be taken out of the customer's account since the transaction is not supposed to be finalized until the equipment is returned.

The uhaul truck red one number in miles when I left when I left the Arminian Service station on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Ny and I reset the miles on the dash board to track my miles. Once I returned the miles read on the actual truck miles was a 50 mile difference but I tracked 15 miles. I drove across brooklyn to another street in Brooklyn and used the van for storage, went up the street to park again then returned the truck . The truck was parked in the same spot for 8 days. They charged me apronx. $90 extra for miles corporate said they would check into it and would get back to me and never did, they just charged me. Uhaul just lost a business customer for approx. $60. My total bill was 467..48. This is how the uhaul is used with my company and partners for storage. Uhaul didn’t ask me questions, I have witnesses that saw the van parked in the same spot, etc. nothing follows

Drivers side window did no go up so it created an uncomfortable late afternoon ride back. The engine was very good

I rented and was charged for a hand truck that was "unavailable". The strain on my back having to compensate for not having one is painful. Thanks for shitty service.

No one was there to help. Gas attendant just pointed to a sign on window to park on one of two streets, which were jam packed with trucks.

I do think the location is doing the best they Can given the small size of their station, but it was extremely difficult to use the app, and then get the attention of the one staff member who was helping give out keys. Although I checked in online using the app, I still waited 45 minutes afterwards in like waiting to get keys. In the meantime, other online customers were served first because they were at the end of the line in the back. I would recommend the station add signage that clearly marks one window to checkin and another to pickup/drop off keys if already completed the online process so that two separate lines can form.

I was charged $20 for moving pads that they did not provide. When asked about them I was told they would be in the truck; they were not. Then when my boyfriend returned the truck he was assured that they did not charge us for the moving pads- they did.

I have rented a truck before from U haul and in the price included a hand truck and blankets to protect the cargo. In this location they wanted to charge me extra for it.
