Started off at another location 10 miles away and wasted an hour trying to pick the truck up because the mobile check in service was not working. Staff was nice over the phone, but couldnt resolve issue even though I was parked right in front of the truck. Sent me to another location 10 miles away. The mobile check in was horrendous!

I have an idea that would be beneficial for families moving across the country. I actually came up with this idea when I was looking for a rental truck. My idea is a full size quad cab moving truck. No one has one and uhaul could be the first. It would have saved us money because we could have towed one car and put the family of 5 in the cab. I think it is a great idea. If you want to talk about this further I am available at 623-824-5360 or donaldkent70@gmail.com. I also think the cab noise is too high but that maybe due to the size of the engines. Positioning of the gas pedal was very awkward.

I had called to let them know I was in route. When I arrived, doors were locked.(4:00) The mechanic from the shared business location did the computerized check in while being walked through the process by another person via phone. I did my own retrieval of dolly, was shorted blankets due to inventory and later directed to drive to another location 30 miles from my home to get the balance. Other customers waiting were growing tired of their wait. I had to used process of elimination to find which truck fit me key. I felt bad for the mechanic. I'm hopeful that the person was taken away for a valid reason, as they did not mentioned not being there when I called in for directions about 5 minutes out. I have rented from U-haul many a time. You tend to get good, bad and terrible service from any given location. I understand that. My concern is in a well maintained vehicle that will get me safely to my destination. This I have always had great luck with. As for people...well, you really can't change behavior for them.

The back lights fell off the trailer! We didn't know, of course, until we got to the broken down vehicle and went to hook it up. One light was completely gone and the other was hanging out by a wire! If this had been properly attached to the tow, this would not have happened.

A little difficult to spot from hwy , Need better signage due to it set back on a road from a frontage rd. Other wise didnt take long to return trailer and the young lady did her job very well and was very pleasant through out .

I had a poor experience with U Haul. I would not recommend U Haul to anyone I cared about. At the drop off, no one was around to help, No instructions posted. There was a key box behind gate hidden be a truck. The people there were to busy working on old bus to talk to me.

Condition of trailer - not bad, but the lift strap on the door was sliced almost in two. Did not cause me a problem, but since they appeared to have numerous available trailers of the same size, it seems that this unit should have been held for repair and another used to put on the road. Service - it took an unacceptably long time to simply get me on the road with a pre-reserved trailer (I did not "check in" on-line in advance). The attendant just didn't seem to be focused on getting things done quickly, although she did handle it capably and was reasonably pleasant. When I called the number on the contract after hours about how to return the unit, I was GRUFFLY(!) told to find another location that took after hour returns despite having been told when I picked it up that I could return it any time during the weekend or early Monday morning. None of this caused me any real problem, but I was in a hurry when I picked it up and the overall sense of trying to make a customer happy was sadly lacking. I'd use this location only as a last resort in the future.

People were rude did not even ask me if I needed help had to grap a guy who I thought was a employee after he advised me that the person who handles uhaul rentals would not be there until 9:00 am directed me to another person who just let me stand there had to tell her “can you help me?” She did not even take her face off her computer to look up at me for a response!! Gave me 2 sheets of paper not even in a uhaul sleeve! Walk out saying to myself “NEVER AGAIN!!!!”

Ensure someone is there to help unhook the trailer. Had to unhook it myself. Those of us with a bad back or other physical ailments could cause further bodily harm to ourselves. No one even came out of the office. Could have hurt myself and would have been laying there with no one in sight for help.

I was suppose to pick up truck at location in San Marcos. Arrived and he couldn't find my reservation. He was the one who made it. After gripping he looked it up and said it was in now in another location in another town. I had called the day before to verify. I had mover help that I was paying and now I had to go over to the next town. All in all I lost an hour of moving time. Had reserved an appliance dolly and they knew nothing of it. Again I had called and verified. This also added mileage as I had to drive to go get it, drive back by where I was supposed to pick it up and then to the move site. There goes the gas. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!. The lady at the Edwards location was nice, but that doesn't make up for all the other experiences. Man at the San Marcos location could care less. Shouldn't have the business. As I had to pay 2 movers an extra hour I should have not had to pay for the truck. Offset extra cost due to Uhaul poor poor service. If I I could without causing an issue I'd stop payment. Never again and I've used uhaul numerous times. Will go with someone else next time and never recommend uhaul.

Price per mile is too high. I had to go 4 miles to fill up in gas before turning in. That is 2.40 just to spend to get gas. If the per mile charge was less, I would use your trucks more often. As it is I only use a rental truck as s last resort because the price is so high. I suggest s sample fee plan as follows for this truck: $45 initial rental fee, $10 per day and 100 miles per day no charge. Over 100 miles, charge .75 per mile. Again, with you current fee structure I avoid as much as possible renting a truck. Think outside the box instead of doing what Nudget, etc the others do. Build a repeat loyalty program. The truck I used was new and it was a pleasure to drive dithbthe options on it. The rental site attendant was very helpful as well. Thanks, bob Trautman

The truck ran rough from the onset. The entire trip was a bumpy ride like the shocks had gone out. The vehicle shook like the front end and sides were about to come apart. My last rental from U-Haul. I will use someone else.

I was sent the wrong picture for the lock to get inside the back of the truck when I was using the app. I received help, but I was very nervous that I would be helpless and not be able to move my things in time.

When I arrived, I pulled into the gates of the lot to park my car and open the u haul app to start the pick up process on my phone. After 5 minutes, the owner of the lot approached my car and very rudely asked me “can I help you?” And basically kicked me out of the lot. The whole interaction was uncomfortable and down-right unnecessary. Then once I got the process started on the app, the code that we were given for the lock pad was wrong. I tried to contact the number we were given (Jeff) and he did not pick up. I left a voicemail and he actually NEVER returned my call. Thankfully, there was another van with a lock pad on it (unlocked) and the code on it was “rara” so we tried that code for our own U-Haul and ir worked. If that lock pad hadn't been there, we would have been waiting in 98 degree heat until “Jeff” called back. The pick up process was such a headache that I will not be using U-Haul again and will definitely not be Recommending it

This original rental was botched from the day before. I was credited in full. Then the local franchise called me and said they needed me to call them because they had to charge something but didn't have access to my CC info. He said he would send me an email so I would know it was on the up and up. I never received an email and when I called he had randomly charged my CC $353.10. I asked for the person to call me back because this charge was not documented in any way and not authorized and was never contacted. I will dispute the charge with my bank if I have to. I will also make sure everyone I know through every social media site and word of mouth knows not to ever give UHaul their CC information!! If this is remedied I will reassess my opinion of UHaul overall but not of the local franchise in Kyle.

Originally my reservation was in San Marcos, TX and then it go moved to Kyle, TX. It was inconvenient and the location in Kyle had me wait an hour and a half later than my original schedule. Only to find out that they do express checkout

I brought the gas back with more gas that I received it and was billed $10 for the difference. I have a pictures of the dash before and after the rental. I called the location and I am still waiting for a call back.

Drop off location was good but a little hard to find based on the directions 1-800 GO U-HAUL gave me. The 1-800 GO U-HAUL was ridiculous having to wait on hold for a rep on two occasions for at least 30 minutes each. They need more operators tending the phones.

U-haul trailers don't have brakes, except for the hitch chained emergency brake. Don't bother trying to adjust with your pickup's brake controller. No one knew this. I had to U-haul customer service to find out.

My pick-up time was 9 am, I didn't get the truck until 10:20am. They didn't have the truck checked in. They couldn't find the keys, they were supposed to be on a desk but were not there. I actually found the keys in the drop box outside and showed the attendant just to find out he didn't have the keys for the drop box. He said he was waiting on the owner to help and the owner would be there shortly. I finally asked him if we could fish them out so I could get going, so he did. After a bit longer he told me I was ready to go. I asked about paperwork to record damages and he told me he had checked the truck and there were no damages. However, I checked the truck earlier, while I was looking for the keys, and noticed dents, scratches and other damage all over the truck, glad I checked. I was told the truck had a full tank of gas, when I got in and turned on the key what did I find but a tank that was not full, even though my contract said it was. I signed no paperwork, so took a lot of pictures. I looked at Penske but they were $50 more expensive for the same truck. After this experience I will just pay the extra $50!

I had made the reservation online, when I got to the location, they had my reservation but it didn't save any of my information. The young lady had to reenter it over and over and over again. Swiping my card three or four times. She was very nice, but I was already running behind due the people that were in front of me in line. The young lady finally got my paperwork correct, and sent me out to the parking lot to hook my trailer up, and that trailer# wasn't even on the lot. So I had to do it all over again. The (very nice) young lady, gave me another trailer and said that she'd have the regular counter person fix the paperwork later. And, I still had to hook up the trailer with no help, which wasn't the end of the world, but annoying since I was now 40 minutes behind schedule. I did finally get out of there with a working trailer, snd got on my way. When I got to the drop-off location, none of the paperwork had been corrected, so I had paperwork with 1 trailer number, and actually had a different trailer.
