Sean V.One day prior to moving, the Uhaul distributer in Lynchburg that I had originally reserved a truck from called to inform me that they never actually reserved a truck for me. As a result, I had to overhaul my moving schedule by driving an hour out of way to pick up a different, more unwieldy vehicle. Upon arriving in Appomattox, the employee that I interacted with was curt and impatient with the valid, practical questions I had about the process, and often uncooperative in providing necessary documentation. It was evident that he did not check the vehicle when it was returned to him as both the condition of the vehicle and gas level was documented incorrectly. I encourage this employee to practice patience and better social skills, and I hope that Uhaul's overall communication towards their clients improves, as well. As soon as the company knows that a reserved vehicle will not be available, they must contact the moving family at ONCE.

Autumn T.Unable did a bait and switch on me. They quoted $300.00 for a 20 ft truck but charged me over $850.00. I have yet to receive a call from a manager as promised within 72 hours. I have the original paperwork showing the correct expense. Capitol One Bank was no help either. I am very disappointed.
WILLIAM W.red mud on the trailer and the right back tire was slick, no tread. Did not notice until we were 100 miles away. but from what I understand, the bad trailers and one-way stops are the ones your team push from dealer to dealer. I will do a better job next time inspecting it. I have photos if you need them. It was reported to the Highpoint location.

JOSHUA F.Reseverd a truck a couple of weeks in advance. U-Haul confirmed a pick up location the day before. I went to that location and there was no truck-was told they didn't even handle trucks. Was sent to another location in town, no truck. Stopped at a third, no truck. Called U_Haul and was directed to Appomattax Trading, 25 miles away. Appomattax Trading was very accommodating. After all the run around, a 3+ hour delay all caused by U-Haul, I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone.

Shadeja M.Once again, the crank would not work. I had my 16 yr old son trying to help me unhook the trailer and it took us about 30 minutes because the crank would not engage. We both got grease all over us, including my shirt and during that time a rain storm came up that we should not have been in had the crank worked correctly and we both got soaked.
Charlie B.They don't verify the mileage when they have a truck turned in and use the excuse that most are left after hours via drop. Cost me $65 in overage that was impossible to happen. Worst experience of any UHaul rental I have ever done.
Joseph G.As far as U-Haul in general I made reservations 2 weeks prior to picking the equipment up I arrived at the reserved pick up location equipment was not there had to take Uber driver 26 miles out of the way very disappointed in you Hall's overall service will not recommend it to anyone
Dave S.The Appomattox Trading Co people were outstanding! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My problem was no fault of theirs. The problem was that this is NOT where I wanted to pick up my trailer. My reservation was in Lynchburg Va. I was notified less than 24 hrs before my pick up time that there was no trailer for me in Lynchburg DESPITE MY RESERVATION! No attempt was made by U Haul to right this. I was simply told that I had to drive 40 miller's out of my way to go to Appomattox. This was most inconvenient especially since I was supposed to pick up at 9:00 and Appomattox didn't open until 10:00. This put me over an hour behind my schedule. Again U-Haull made no attempt to right the issue. Not sure what good my reservation was! Not sure I'll use U Haul again unless I hear from them. Unacceptable service with plenty of other traveling/hauling options out there.....

John. L.The place was not open when we had scheduled the pick up. The owner reported he had to had to take his wife to the hospital. Therefore I picked the unit up 4 hours later. I waited at the lot for 35 minutes before I left the first time.

Hannah R.This was a nice location, however, not the location I booked. We were moving my son home from college in Lynchburg and wanted a rental there. I did not expect to have to drive an extra 40 minutes each way to pick it up. I booked the trailer in February so I would expect to get what I ordered. I received a phone call the day before pickup during my son's graduation that the location had changed. I was not very happy about the situation.

The staff was ready to help answer any questions I might have had. The rental price for the truck was more than reasonable! There was plenty of room for the equipment I needed to move, and the whole truck was clean. I highly recommend the services of the UHaul Authorized Dealer located at Appomattox Trading Co., on Richmond Hwy, to those looking for a great hauling experience!

The gentleman at the Appomattox Trading Co. was patient and professional. He explained all of the information about our rental and did not leave any details out. He really took the time to insure we were satisfied before leaving with our rental. We absolutely recommend renting Uhaul from Appomattox Trading Co. above anywhere else!
