The blankets and trolley I reserved were.not with the vehicle. I had to wait for them to find some and drive to pick them up. The truck should be loaded and ready to go.

Dear U-Haul Team, I hope this message finds you well, though I must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I recently received from your company. My experience with U-Haul, particularly at [Location], was nothing short of a nightmare, leaving me utterly frustrated and disappointed. First and foremost, I was charged twice for the U-Haul rental, with a total of $122. This financial inconvenience was just the beginning of a series of unfortunate events during my interaction with your services. Upon arriving at the location to pick up the U-Haul, I endured a 20-minute wait to obtain the vehicle. This delay was not only inconvenient but also an inefficient use of my time. Customers expect a smooth and timely rental process, which was clearly lacking in this instance. Furthermore, the U-Haul was irresponsibly parked in a location that was practically inaccessible to the road. In an attempt to rectify the situation and position the vehicle correctly, I ended up getting stuck in a patch of grass on the property. It is unacceptable that the vehicle was not properly situated for easy access, leading to unnecessary complications. What exacerbated the situation was the lack of accountability from the property's employees. Instead of acknowledging the oversight and taking responsibility for the inconvenience caused, they unjustly blamed me for the U-Haul getting stuck. This level of negligence and unprofessionalism is not only disheartening but also reflective of a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I want to emphasize my profound disappointment with this entire experience. As a customer, I expect a certain level of service, and unfortunately, U-Haul failed to meet even the most basic standards. I am left with no choice but to share my ordeal, and I will make it a point to dissuade others from considering your services at this particular location. I sincerely hope that U-Haul takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to improve customer service, rental processes, and employee accountability at [Location]. No complaints about the location I rented from - they were fantastic. However, returning the vehicle when the branch was closed was a real pain. Also, I never received an email or text acknowledging the return, and the amount charged to my credit card was a fair bit higher than expected. And since I did not get a return receipt I have no backup or means to verify anything. Plus, the truck did not have a full tank of gas when I picked it up, but I'm supposed to return it with the same amount. How in the world do you expect anyone to do that accurately. You got more gas back than what was in it when I picked it up. That policy is bullshit and cost me money.

Reversing out was a bit tricky with cars behind you. If they left them the other way it would be easier. Counter help was great.

The parking was very small for a larger truck. When I arrived there weren’t any reasonable spots. Once I finally got the truck into the best spot I was able one of the workers came out and asked me to instead back it into a different spot that was very awkward to access. I am happy to be reasonable but frankly once I’ve dropped the truck in a spot that should be the end of it. Would have been better waiting to do an after hours drop.

the first 10' truck we were assigned had a soft back tire, which i learned from the LED message on the instrument cluster when i turned on the engine ... and the cab had a great deal of water sloshing around on the floor and in the cup holder. i'm sorry i do not have the number of that vehicle. i asked for another 10' truck and the second one (TM3778M) was excellent.

Charges were not as explained before pick up as they were at drop off it was mentioned charges for kms not miles no mention of 4.00 charges if credit card was used no mention of $1.00 environmental fee and why are taxes charged on mileage charges why are trucks in miles not kms very MISS LEADING

This was the 3rd reroute for my one way rental pickup THAT I HAD TO GO TO. You would think that after the first there would be some effort to accommodate me...not me accommodate U-Haul

You did not have the equipment I reserved. When I called your company you told me to go the another location a city away to grab the equipment. When I arrived at that location I was told they are all sold out. I called customer service again, I was then sent to a third location. I’m was told on the phone I could drop the equipment off with the van at the original location, but was then told on location that I had to come back if I wanted to rent the equipment. All in all hours of my booked elevator at my condo were spent working for uhaul driving around paying for kilometres I didn’t need to use. I will not be using uhaul again. I should have listened to a friend that told me I would regret it. Very poor service. Very poor organization.

We were the first people to come pick up the truck, and the only people in the place for the first 20 minutes, and it took 45 minutes to get this reservation completed. Asked for the reservation to be emailed and called 4 times requesting this. It never occurred, nor any follow up. The truck was on empty when we picked it up. Instead of finishing with us, she went to here second and third rental customer.

I had issues with the rear door. I tested it when I picked up the truck and it worked fine. Got it home and loaded the truck and the rear door jammed. Spring/pulley let go. Called roadside assistance as per the sticker. Used automated call back. When called back, I was on three different levels of hold for 10minutes. Finally thought I got through, or so I thought and was disconnected. Went to fill out online instead. Filled out form at 9pm. Service tech showed up at 11:30pm. Worked until 1am. Sort-of fixed the rear door. It worked one time and then jammed again. Apple tree location was good. Service person was very friendly. Even called at 5:45 to ensure I was on my way. Very good service at the pick-up location. Truck was also very new and very clean.

I opted to not use the 24/7 app due to the bad reviews. But the staff at Appletree had everything ready for my scheduled arrival. I made sure to take pictures prior to my departure. Understandably many people have used these trucks, so I didn't expect it to be in new car condition. The truck was clear of garbage, however was "well used". Kind of dirty, with plenty of dents in the fenders of the cargo van. The cargo van served my purpose perfectly. I returned it with no issue. Thanks Appletree! Would use again.

Love the location and the friendly staff. But whenever I book online it never gives me this location first, although it is the closest to me. I also find that I cannot pick or drop off online from here. Have tried calling Uhaul many times but nothing seems to solve this issue. I will still go in and pick up as it is not a store issue but rather a Uhaul app issue

I did mobile pick up and the wrong key was in the pick up box assigned. I had to wait for someone to arrive at the store to get it sorted. Setting us back close to an hour. The truck also wasn’t particularly clean and the windshield wipers didn’t work, which would have been incredibly dangerous if it was raining

Didn’t provide the rental equipment that was requested and was hassled by Uhaul that we needed to pay late fees for not checking in on the return after we called brought the truck back 15min early. We need to call the 1 800 number to pick up the truck because the mobile check in was not working. When returning the truck we encountered the same problem. Luckily both times calling the customer service representative was helpful. I was however not pleased to hear from Uhaul that they wanted to charge me for fees on a technicality of there mobile check in not working.

Location was fine and the people we quite helpful, which was good because the mobile reservation/pickup experience was horrid. The system only prompted me for additional documentation (Passport) or contacts that would need to be called (Employer, etc.) AFTER I arrived to pick up the truck. Why the heck did they not ask for this information AHEAD OF TIME??!!!!!

This location us not a regular Uhaul store. It is a convenience store that has a couple of trucks. I used the before hours pick up so I did not go in the store. It was very handy as it was close. I booked online and checked out and checked back in from my phone so it was super easy.

Ordered two dozen moving blankets and were not in truck at pick up. Had to scramble to find suitable blankets for move. Some of my furniture got damaged as a result.. Other than that the customer service lady I talked to on the phone was very nice and the lady at the store called me with the final total because her system was down.. Hopefully the blanket fee was refunded as I haven't got a bill.

The parking area offered was too busy and I was worried about my vehicle. Cell phone check in is inconvenient for those not comfortable with using them. Check in was an unnecessary hassle. Especially the scanning of the drivers license. The scanning should be done on U-Hauls equipment. Everyone at the location was polite and friendly though.

I made a reservation for 9 AM and the rental location did not open until 9:30 AM. Here's some advice for you: 1) Update your reservation website to show accurate office open and close times. 2) Update your reservation website to only display rental locations that are actually operating. I initially made a reservation in my local town of Beamsville, only to find out later that I had to contact your Hamilton office to make different arrangements because the Beamsville location was not longer renting your trucks. Why did you show Beamsville as an option if the place was closed? Also, I was given no credit for the additional distance that I had to drive to and from my house in Beamsville to rent a van from the next nearest location in Grimsby (20+ km each way). Gee, thanks. 3) If a customer like me is forced to wait an extra 30 minutes to pick up their rental because the rental office was not open when you said it was, don't treat me like garbage for requesting an additional 30 minutes to return the vehicle. While your Hamilton team agreed to give me the extra 30 minutes, they acted like they were doing me the biggest favour. In summary, my experience renting with Uhaul was awful, more expensive than I planned and irritating in multiple ways. In the future, I will only rent a truck with Uhaul if no other options are available. You stink, full stop.

I had originally booked my rental at another location and 'corporate' changed it to this location. The location was not open at the reserved pick up time which delayed my move by 1 hour. When we got our truck, the office had given the lockbox code to someone else who was renting so that she could move our truck out of the way. Therefore if there were any, which I highly doubt, cleaning protocols which had been completed on the truck's interior, they were no longer applicable. Totally unacceptable experience and will not use UHaul again.
