There was a wait getting the keys but I didn't mind. The dolly price was $10 but I paid 7 for the same dolly at another retailer. Not sure why the difference.

First, make sure the owner of Andy's smoke shop deletes each & every picture of my license that he took to be able to scan my license, only U-Haul place I ever had that problem with. It took practically 20 to 30 minutes to make it work. Next, tell them to come up with a different way to scan stuff than using their personal phone. Clean their trucks on inside before renting out to next person, it smelled like body odor. I went to a gas station to buy wipes to wipe down seats & steering wheel, & Lysol air freshener with my own money to get the stink out so I could drive peacefully with windows down to air out. And let customers use the restroom if they are giving them business. Most public places don't tell customers who are paying for services to go across the street instead because they don't do things a certain way. And try to smile & pretend to have a personality even if you don't instead of frowning at people

The check-in before issued the Truck was online in Andy's Smoke Shop - a bit tedious but was out the door with the truck in approx 20 mins. Truck was there awaiting our arrival. Overall, a Good Experience! Would rent from here again, if necessary ðŸ'ðŸ»ðŸ'ðŸ»

The vehicle I rented had a hard time accelerating and took a little longer to start. Other than that the vehicle fine. I had an issue with billing but the area manager Phil corrected the problem immediately. I would like to thank Phil for his time and patience on this Saturday evening.

I didn't go the 60 miles that I thought I needed to go, it wasn't even 25 miles but I was charged for 60 miles which was a guesstimate

We arrived at the location at 1:40 pm our reservation was 2pm. The truck was not available because the other person didn't bring it back. Owners of the smoke shop were very nice but timid. We waited at the store for exactly 2 hours and the guy finally showed up with the truck. That customer was very rude to the store owner. Due to the amount of time we had we took the truck without cleaning it at the store. When I wiped everything down later my sanitizer wipes where so gross and yellow. We ended up returning the truck after using it for 2 hours even though we had reserved it for 24 hours. It's not the store's fault but maybe the other customer misunderstood the owner of the smoke shop. The whole process of getting a Uhaul was very difficult. I do not recommend

Have the attendant arrive when the reservation starts. We had to wait outside a closed store for 30 mins until the attendant arrived.

I would recommend the location but not uhaul as a company I made my reservation at one location and was sent to two other locations before I got the truck wasting almost 2 hours of my time

I had a reservation at 10 o'clock in Merrillville location guaranteed to be picked up I had Movers waiting for me in the apartment , Come to find out my 10 o'clock will not be there for minimum hour to have 2 hours hours, The Gentlemen behind the counter really did not want to be there on a Saturday ,refer me to a different location and we asked him for the $50 guarantee off he said he will send a message to the new location to reduce the mileage since I'm going 140 miles round trip, I get to the new location ,Andy shop They had no clue what I was talking about a discount, I left my balance was 126 and I was told should be up-and-down a little bit not much when I Return my truck and it was 198,26 A lot more than I expected try to get ahold of the district manager he would not answer his phone and after I sent a text message that I'm a customer I need his assistant He proceeded to turn off his phone, I am planning a big move from DC to Chicago I will not use u-haul. Plx give me my $50 as your web site states...

My contract had the wrong amount owed back to me and I had to go back and forth with u-haul for almost 30 minutes to get the correct amount.

Person handling transaction had no idea how to do computer work. We were there for nearly one and one half hours. She would stop with us to take care of other customers (of the smoke shop). Truck had less than a quarter tank of gas in it at start. And it was a 60 mile trip for me to pick up the (more expensive) truck. Poor, poor showing from a national company.

I reserved a uhaul August 11 for August 22 on the 21st I received a phone call from a uhaul representative for confirmation. She changed my pickup location and time without me knowing until I got the comfimation email showing what time and pickup location both were different from what i had chosen based on availability and location. I called they were only able to correct my pickup time. The day of pickup arrives I get to the location the uhaul representative changed it to. They states to me they dont have the keys to the size truck i requested he stated that they must have dropped off the truck their but dropped off the keys at another location. I said so you dont check and clean the vehicles when you get them back. He gave me a blank look. I then called uhaul spoke with Jason he was very helpful. A lot of the other locations was closed or didn't have the size truck i needed. So i ended up with a smaller truck that i had to prayer we would get everything it in for this one way almost 182 mile trip. When get in the truck it still had the previous customers face mask, and old rusty lock, and a pink bandana in it. Clear indicator that the truck was not cleaned or sanitized before we gained possession of the vehicle. At this time in pressed for time needing to get to this storage unit while i still have daylight to load the truck and get on the highway. I will never use this location again and if your representative changes my reservation again. I will never use uhaul again. Jason wasnt the representative that changed my reservation he was very nice.

I would not recommend this location to literally my worst enemy. Horrible customer service, truck was not there when needed and no confirmation phone call was ever made. He refused to refund me and told me that nobody would accommodate us. Please read the notes under the file for the whole situation. I'm just happy it's over

I was sent to this location at Andy's Smoke Shop on Broadway because the original location on US30 in Shererville from which I had reserved a truck did not have a 20' truck available for the day I needed, June 6, 2020. This changed the logistics of my move, in regards to my personal vehicle and picking up the truck (the original location was walking distance for me). It also forced me to drive 15 minutes out of my way, 30 minutes round trip. I feel like U-Haul should have shuttled the 20' truck to the location from which I had originally reserved the truck as a good customer service response.
