Keep equipment In proper working order after I got the trailer back to where I was going to pick up my car one of the straps was broke so I had to go and buy a $35 strap just to use detail my car downSTEPHEN B.
I was not issued a credit that I should receive for returning the trailer a day early. I returned the trailer at 3:58 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20. I had booked the trailer for return at 4:00 p.m., Tues. Sept. 21. The employee I returned the trailer to, Kim, assured me she would issue the credit and take care of the check-in. Instead, she quit her job and didn't do the check in or even leave a note confirming my check-in time. When I brought this issue up with employee Elizabeth, she said she couldn't help me and to call U-Haul customer service. I called customer service and a recording stated a wait time of 48 minutes. I scheduled the callback option but never got a call back. I have always used U-Haul, but this experience has left me quite upset.RICHARD B.

No bait & switch! We reserved a van as it would have been good for the work we were gonna do, we did not need a 15 ft. truck at higher rental rate burnin' more gas, plus more trouble to drive, load & park. While the courtesy of the staff at Anderson Lock Key was excellent, they couldn't get us a van same day & we couldn't wait another day to get started as we already lost a day on a week booked, review of email confirms our choice of van over truck & that U-haul had days to secure one. Reckon we'll try another rental service for our next job.Michael K.

No one was in the office when we came to return the truck so we had to return in an hour in order to have our truck checked in. Once she returned to the office, she quickly checked our truck in. We did not go into the office but the outside location looked clean and maintained.Kenneth R.

I reserved the truck for 6:00 am. They informed me that they would send me a text letting me know the combination to the lock to open the rear door. They never sent the text. I had to wait until 9:15 to pick up the truck. It delayed me for 3 hrs and 15 min.NATH W.

2 minutes after I got there- the lady there told me I had to wait outside for 10 minutes while she closed the office. It took much longer than usual for her to complete the transaction. She was in an obvious rush to get rid of me because she had other customers there whom she apparently knew personally. She had no interest in showing me if there was any previous damage to the truck. In fact, she had a hard time finding the truck that I was getting. Later, I discovered the pads I ordered were not in the truck so I had to ask for a refund on that on the other end. It will be a long time before I rent another truck from U Haul.GREGORY B.

I needed a tow dolly to tow a vehicle from NC to SC so that i could have a transmission put in the vehicle. I used the tow dolly and returned the tow dolly back. Tow dollys are very hard to get and i am thankful they had one to rent. The service was outstanding.ROBERT B.

Had to get an alternative drop off location as the original drop off location on the contract DID NOT EXIST. It was A FIELD OF GRASS. The telephone number went straight to voicemail. In the middle of nowhere with my family at night and sent there was EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. Spent a long time there on hold for customer service. Finally got an alternative drop off location. We ordered an appliance dolly along with a moving truck, but when we got the truck the dolly wasn't in there. We called and they said the one they had wasn't available that's why we didn't receive it. They never told us it wasn't available to use, then they continued to try and charge me for it.Dusty W.

The lady who opened the office on Saturday, 8/22/2020, didn't arrive until 9:15, which is 15 minutes after the office was supposed to have opened. She acted as if either she had overslept or she had to cover for a coworker who called in sick at the last minute. Furthermore, I forgot to ask her about getting the furniture pads, which I ended up not needing after all, but paid for just the same. I don't know if there's a way to get a $5 refund since I didn't get them. (If not, it's not that big of a deal.) Plus, since I was in a hurry, and since there were other customers in line behind me, I just wanted to leave as soon as I could. As far as the truck is concerned, it's a good thing that I don't have severe allergies or asthma because the cab wreaked of cigarette smoke. Also, the rear rolling door had a tendency of getting stuck from time to time, requiring us to apply a great deal of force when pushing it up or pulling it down. The truck drove with no problem though.Charlie W.

Lady showed up over 2 hours late. Other people that were waiting ended up leaving without picking up their rental. She added the insurance to the auto Transport which I did not want or was asked if I wanted it. She was super slow like it was her first day and didn't understand what she was doing. If I wasn't pressed to get the auto transport that day I would have rented it from another location.Christopher T.

this location was good - however our reservation was made for another location in Anderson (stowaway self storage) - i had a confirmation email and had already checked in on line to find NO 5x8 cargo trailer on lot when arrived. my reservation (25461656) was not one of those with no guarantee... I've learned not to do that. So it was valuable time lost when we had to drive to this site for the trailer. it would have been nice for the person at Stowaway to call us - instead of greeting us w/ "I'm not sure why you are here - is saw your reservation but we don't have a 5x8)Kip G.
