Very unprofessional receptionist. We have spent extra 40min there, because she made us do everything online, in order to obtain a vehicle key, even though I have specified "over counter service". She refused to help us fill in forms, then implied that we are not smart enough to open the key box, if can't fill in online forms. We ended up in verbal argument with her, because we were so late for our appointment already and she just would't help with anything. She mentioned, she has no ties to U-Haul (there is a board on the wall says U-Haul) and only dispense keys, however, she and her partner couldn't open a key box after everything was done by us. I am not sure, if she is a part time employee or not, but her attitude was on another level of terrible customer service. She was talking to a friend on the phone, while we are asking her questions about online forms. End result, we were 1 hour late to our appointment, simply because she refused to help us with anything. I really would like your feedback on this, because never ever I have experienced such a terrible customer service. Unfortunately, I will not return to this location again (thanks to the unhelpful employee) and my brother previously experienced the same service from her, but he didn't bother to take further. Again, I would like to hear back from you on this matter!Ivan D.

The only issue is that the dolly and hand wheelie thing wasn't available. I had to go to three different locations and no one had it. Which made my move very difficult.Diana Y.
The lady at the counter was rude made me wouldn't accept my return if the truck was not parked in a legal space i had to drive around looking for a parking even though they gave it to me double parked. Had it been in a legal spot I could've left my personal car there and the truck could've gone back in the same spot. Would never deal with this place againNELSON R.
Starting with the barcode which was unreadable, then the lockbox which was broken, then the representative who switched me to the other van and forgot to mention my issues to the manager to switch the truck in my account. I drove different van with different mileage and couldn't return it because the system didn't allow me to. Called customer service and theady hang up the phone on me. Didn't help at all. Next day I called to the location and the rude and unprofessional lady yelled at me because I mentioned the full refund due to my experience with this location and uhaul. Never... Never again! I have spent more than an hour awaiting for a office worker dealing with Uhaul rentals to show-up. I had a reservation and did a check-in, but the whole online pick-up, verification, drop-off process is annoying. The location did not have some of the equipment requested and paid for (furniture pads).Yuriy D.

Rude and disrespectful staff wanted me to go get the truck from wherever on the street it was parked. On return refused to take truck unless i parked on street and took a picture of mileage. The staff at this site was rude and not helpful at all. They wouldn't help me with the check-in process. They gave me an attitude any time I asked a question, and it took me over an hour to actually get the keys to my van because I was on the phone, getting the run around, and no one at the sight offering assistance. I was not able to pick up my truck in Staten Island in any location had to go to Brooklyn to pick up truck, when I got there truck passenger side mirror was broken (put photos on U-haul app) they taped a mirror over the broken mirror I drove away because I was moving to Pennsylvania and had no choice but to accept it due to only other truck available was smaller, had to go to auto store because passenger side had no blind spot mirror and was to dangerous to drive that way taped blind spot mirror under the small mirror they taped on and went on with my move 2 hours later then I planed, on the way up to PA truck drove poorly was swaying on road needless to say I wasn't happy, I used u-haul many time and never had such bad equipment I need to move more things up to PA and I'm weary about using u-haul again to do so, would like to see how you resolve my concernsOnofrio L.

Open on time. Reservation and hours of operations was listed as 8AM. Staff didn't show up until 8:30. Truck share 24/7 is a waste of time. Checked-in online at 8:15AM. Online approval didn't take place for 15 minutes until I had to call the 800 number. After that I still have to wait in-line to get the key.WAI LUN C.

Uhaul agent was 40 min late for work and told they do not have my reservation in their system, and that my reservation was moved to another location, despite the fact I had a confirmation for a pickup for 8 AM at 2583 Stillwell Ave (Amore Rental). I ended up renting a larger truck and was assured by representative it was a ONE-WAY rental. He told me my drop-off address is 133rd Street at Broadway in Manhattan.Boris K.

When I got into the truck. The dash read back right tire low add air. I called the place they said it was just the sensor. I drove away but felt a lil uneasy I was going to load it and head to New Jersey. I stop by a tire place had them ck and add air. The message went away. Thank god I did that because apparently it was not a bad sensor. I feel compensation is in order. I would recommend them because I feel companies at times make the wrong decisions just to move along. But I'm hoping it was a 1 time error in judgement on their partisaac M.

Be honest and don't rip people off for one. Tell me the chargers were 80-90$ then the following day I get charged w/ 105$ on my credit card. I took pictures of the dash before and after, they told me to call corporate when I did they told me 46$ for gas for gas I don't understand how you chnage me 46$ for gas when the gas was put back in this place/ uhaul in general is a rip off go to a local van rental or just another company these guys are crooks.michael A.

The only place I would recommend improvements is the U-Haul website itself. I tried to reserve online several times and besides being rather confusing and overly complicated, the requests I put in weren't loading at all. Luckily, this location is within a short walk of my home, so it was just easier to go do it in person.michael Z.

Price was charge $16 extra by receptionist woman , she insisted me to pay $99 for a day, even I made Request just for 4 hours, she refused to gave me truck which I have reserved online, when I showed proof of reservation $19.95 plus 1.79 per mile(15 miles driven plus $7 gas) Trick was used to collect money. Finally ended up $53.00+$7 = $60 Overall service was not bad.JAVED T.

The van was disgusting and smells.. I took it because I had to move out my apartment and there was no other option. Surprised later on with a charge of $150 plus taxes for cleaning a dirty van and I wasn't responsible for being too dirty and smelly inside.. Spoke to a representative in the office and explained to them the case and they said will reverse the charge.. no action has been taken yet..never again this location.Amr M.

Service at a very bad level. The worker who served me behaved incorrectly. I assigned appointment for a certain time, I had to wait a long time. While I pay for the work of the movers at my own expense. No one has apologized for this situation. the service is just awful, several times they tried to change the place where I had to pick up the car. I waited another 45 minutes for the car to be given, since the system was not working. I paid for renting a car, a lot of miles and insurance. they told me that if I replenished the fuel, I didn't have to pay anything more. I returned the car ahead of time, poured more fuel than I spent and drove less than what was stated in the contract, and once more I was charged, even more than I paid when I signed the contract and no one explained to me why. this company is cheatingDmitri P.
Make sure the locations that are reserved are not closed for the day I spent an extra $10 on cabs because the first location was closed and uhaul still accepted my reservation. Please lease fix glitches in your system as you don't pay my movers extra for the time I took to get a uhaulJohn H.
If you store is close due to a certain holiday, or an emergency, the store should call or leave a message to let the people renting the vehicles. Saves them a trip of driving there. And also let the people renting a vehicle that there's a drop box for the keys, so they don't get charged an extra day because they didn't know you were going to be closed.Victoria L.
