The door was locked each time I went into the location and was locked behind me after entering. Required to wear a mask in location. Never able to get a live person to answer each time I called.SheriK D.

You can get rid of your truck share.worst experience I've had with uhaul.you sent me to va beach to get truck which was closed for veterans day,took a couple of hours to get truck. Then trailer was in Chesapeake va 20 miles away. Had to load truck in va Beach, go to Chesapeake and get trailer then back to va Beach to load vehicle on trailer then head to Pulaski va. 7 hr drive. By the way I picked up trailer it was another hour or So because people at location had no clue what they were doing. So don't make me tell you what you can do with your truck shareRobert L.
Admittedly, I can't recall where I entered the phone numbers for my reservation, presumably with â€œprimaryâ€ â€œsecondaryâ€ or â€œhomeâ€ â€œmobileâ€ fields. However, I was nonetheless upset that a representative never contacted me, or confirmed that they contacted me, the day before my rental to provide instructions. At least in my opinion, they should have called my cellphone (757-652-7371) first, and then called my home phone (757-420-5877) if they couldn't initially get a hold of me by cell. They called my home phone only â€" which I never really use as it's truly my folks' home phone â€" and a representative spoke with my dad, and relayed the instructions to my dad, and not myself. While my dad obviously should've relayed those instructions to me in a more timely manner (not the morning of the move), it's not his job to do so. My dad said the representative claimed they'd contact me, at least with a text message with instructions, which they never did. So, 1. The representative knew they weren't speaking to me 2. They never sent instructions to my cellphone even after knowing they didn't actually speak to me All in all, it made the pickup process way more stressful than it should've been, as I was completely uncertain of how to pickup the truck while driving over to get it at 7:35 AM (not to mention learning that I only had between 6:30-7:30AM to get the truck while on the way, making me worry if I would still even be able to rent the truck for the day, while trying to make time for our 3 hour reserved elevator to move in at the apartment from 9AM - 12PM). That said, the alternate rendering of my reservation (the one that this review is actually attached to), which was made the morning of the move (Saturday) was definitely made possible because of Ms. Crystal, who helped us figure out how to get the truck quickly despite the initial lack of communication. Apart from that, the truck did not have 1/4 tank of gas when we picked it up, so I don't believe its fuel level was properly confirmed when it was previously returned.PATRICKDAVID B.

Store was closed so I couldn't talk to a representative about my rental. I was wrongly put down as truckshare, which I never signed up for. The truck was horribly damaged, and honestly, quite embarrassing to drive. The fact that UHaul let the truck be rented out is a shame. If you're ever told to use this location, refuse and request somewhere else. In a military town with so many TDY moves, you would think they would have their best gear but apparently not.Samuel R.
I was offered the chance to get a reduced fee if I brought the truck back to the pick up location. I was told I could have the truck for up to 4 days with additional mileage and a reduced rate. The 4 days was added to contract but the incorrect date of 9/5/2021 was put on contract. There seemed to be some concern that I kept the truck to long as I got a phone call and was met by Uhaul person at the site even though site was closed. If this option is going to be offered, care needs to be taken to ensure the proper dates are entered as I was left feeling like I did something wrong which was not the case as I returned the truck in 3 days not 4 days. Store front was not opened. When I called customer service, I was supposedly signed up for truckshare, which I did not sign up for. I was never sent any directions on how to use truckshare either. The truck I was given was horribly damaged and unkempt; both fenders terribly dented and bent, countless gouges out of both sides of the truck, some old drink spilled all over the inside of the cab. It is embarrassing uhaul allowed the truck to be in their fleet, let alone actually lend it to someone for use. I also rented an appliance dolly, furniture dolly and 6 moving blankets, NONE of which where with the truck. Ended up having to get them from other uhaul locations. Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone if there is a chance this happens to them as well.Samuel R.
I was charged for a dolly that wasn't even in the back of the truck like it was suppose to be. and when I went to pick up the truck there were issues with contactless pickup and had to call a Uhaul servicer away from where I was picking it up because no body was in the building when they were suppose to be.VICKILEE G.

Complete chaos. Hour late opening store. Then didn't have the keys to our truck. Do have us a bigger truck said we wouldn't have to pay for. Then changed all out drop off stuff around . Truck was dirty and never cleaned. At drop off we were charged for the extra stuff that was suppose to be FREEâ€¦ haha also U- Haul doesn't ever answer there phones !! Terrible experience. Likely will never use them again.BRITTNEY C.
Make sure the location is open when it states what time their hours are. If check in is changed for any reason, make sure the customer knows. I arrived at the location and it was closed, upon calling the uhaul customer service I was informed my in person check in was changed to check in by my phone & them was told I needed to follow the directions that were emailed to me as to how to check in. I told the uhaul agent I was never sent any email about changes or directions for check in. The company I was supposed to pick the uhaul up at did not have the supplies i ordered either.NICOLEMARIE S.

This location was not open at the scheduled time of pick up, locations of larger trucks was not easily visible nor explained when confirming with a uhaul representative and no way of contacting location to confirm they actually had the size truck that was confirmed for pick upKyle D.
