This is a self storage business. It's hidden BEHIND a strip mall, and not visible from the parking lot! There is a locked gate and we were not given a code to enter! Very cramped parking, and confusing my location â€” nothing identifies it as a Uhaul location. We initially tried to return the truck about a mile north of this location â€” it's a HUGE Uhaul center, but they turned us away and told us to go to the crappy, small, unwelcoming self storage place.GUY K.

My only concern is that I had reserved my truck and day prior to picking it up and asked the appropriate questions about having access to my truck keys via U-Haul 24/7 app because of my early pick-up time, which turned out to be complete false. Because I logged into the app and it stated, "You are required to do a in person pickup once the office is open." I even tried to call the 1-800 number provided to no avail. This cause my limited time to be even more limited than expected. Not good U-Haul!!Anthony T.

I normally get my truck and Uhaul goods from the location on Broadway (the owner/manager's name is French I think?), but this location had my truck size and allowed me to get it sooner. Several days before I needed the truck, I reserved it online and set it up to do a mobile pickup. I had also requested to have two utility carts. When I got to American Storage, the owner had not pushed my order through to mobile pickup and the app would not let me get the truck. It kept telling me to wait until he opened at 9am. I had someone drop me off and was on a time crunch, so I didn't have the option to go somewhere else. I called the customer service number, it took me 45 minutes to get someone to get a hold of the owner and for him to come out and give me the keys. When I asked him if the utility carts were in the truck, he was surprised. He was not aware my order had utility carts on it and he only had one. He told me he would call and speak with Tammy his regional scheduler and have the other cart taken off my order. I spoke to Tammy around 10am and she had no idea I did not get my second cart. As a result of how late he was getting me the truck, I lost the of the guys who were set to help me move and they were also on a time crunch and could not stay to fully help me load and unload the truck. I ended up having to move everything myself. The truck was also on empty when I picked it up. Tammy from the regional scheduling did call me and she was very nice. She also offered to take some of my order off for filling the truck up to 1/4 a tank and she told me she would not charge me for the carts. I also appreciate that she had a lot of empathy for my situation. I ended up being late returning my truck. I did call the customer service line and spoke to Julie. She was also very kind and told me I could have it a little bit later, just to do the after hours drop off. Normally my experiences at Uhaul are quite exceptional and it's why when I move I try to always do business with you all versus your competitors. It was just very frustrating that this experiences did not go as smoothly as it could. I am very appreciative however that your customer service team took the time to try and make the situation right. Thank you so much for being understanding and working with me.Christina V.

Still trying to understand why my card was charged an additional $42.00 separate from the $131.17 invoice. The invoice was the settled payment, the vehicle cleaned, the gas tank completely full. Yet my card was hit for $42.00 and as far as I know, there is no rational or justifiable reason why this standalone charge hit my account. The uhaul was originally missing a gas cap. I was able to get one from uhaul down the street where they had to cut one off another truck. The truck cab shook really bad at anything over 55 mph. The tires on the front were basically bald. It's amazing we made the 700 mile trip without a blow out especially since I was traveling with a 16 year old.Jim B.

Other than a rough ride, the truck was awesome! The truck share 24/7 was great also! The location doesnt have a uhaul key box, so I still had to go and talk to someone, but it was still a lot quicker then renting through a person! U-Haul is really stepping up their game! Great job!Ricky V.

Ever uhaul place needs a way to know what the other is doing and each franchise should have the same rules and regulations. When you are told one thing and go to another place and they tell you opposite thing. Then they try to stick you with more money you are not expecting, that is not good business at allJim H.

The cab of the truck had not been cleaned. There was still trash (cigarette wrappers, paperwork, french fries, etc.) in the cab from the previous rental. I am not allowed to turn the truck back in in that condition. Also, I had to scrape ice off of the windshield before being able to drive the truck. Would have been nice to have had that already done.gary B.
