The truck smelled and wreaked of marijuana and I didn't feel safe to drive it, but I made the reservation a week in advance and there we're no other options. I was billed 2 times for almost 300$ when it should've only been $115. Customer service was very rude when I called to get it figured out.JOSHUA H.

They charged me $4.75 a gallon for gasoline when there are two or three gas stations near them that have gas for $2.95 to $3 a gallon. The truck we got had about a half a tank of gas left in it when we picked it up so the tank wasn't even full when we got it and they are still charging us $19 extra to go .1 mile(if even) and put gas in it. I talked to someone who worked there and she said that it was Uhaul's rules. Basically Uhaul likes to screw over their customers. $52.25 for 11 Gallons = $4.75 per gallon. I'm also going to file a complaint with the BBB, this is beyond ridiculous.JEAN C.

Every light on the dash was on including the check engine light, change oil soon message, tire pressure light and tire sensor monitor needs service indicator. The transmission shifted terrible and when I tried to roll the window down, the handle fell off the door. The truck only had 3/4 of a tank of gas but I was required to fill it up upon returning. And they asked me ahead of time how many miles I expected to drive and charged me upfront. I drove less miles than anticipated but didn't get any money back! So I got took paying for gas I never used and miles I didn't drive.James W.

Provide a better truck that doesn't feel like it's about to fall apart while driving it, have trucks at locations chosen or provide a much better heads up as to change of location. Also verify that the location YOU (Uhaul) choseâ€¦..is open and able to provide the truck to you. I drove well out of my way to go get what was needless to say mediocre, aside from that, the customer service when calling to have these issues addressed, they were pleasant. I hate leaving negative reviews. But the mistakes one after another could not be avoided. Next time I'm gonna bite the bullet and just pay someone to do it for meâ€¦.cause this what a bit to much. I hope others out there have a better experience than me and I pray I'm a one off compared to the many people uhaul has served.ADAM J.

There is no after hours drop off at this location, even though it is advertised as such. We brought the truck around 6pm to drop off, and had to return home because the location was closed and the gates were locked. There is a place to drop keys, but we could not get into the lot to park the truck. We had to return early the next morning right at our drop off time.Joseph N.

Charged an extra day because default time to return was used. We were not asked at time of reservation when we would return it. Tried to charge extra for fuel ( we went back out and put more fuel), tried to charge extra to sweep out the back ( we did this before return) and mop the front. When we picked up the uhaul it had pop spilled in the cup holders and dirt and grass was all over the cab. She had to come clean it up before we approved it. A lady called me at 11 ( default pick up time) i explained we were not aware 11 was the pickup time she said not to worry about it and i told her we would be there around 4. The lady who was there when we returned the uhaul was rude and arrogant.SARA M.

The truck had a horrible smell in it. The steering wheel was completely disintegrated, the suspension was totally shot. And the ignition barley worked and took forever to start everytime. And a 19.99 truck ended up costing 110CONOR C.
Initial quote was 235 when i picked up the uhaul it was 450. Wrong number of days was in the first quote even though i specically said 6 days.SARA M.

I was told it would be about 60$ dollars to rent the trailer for the night. I rented it just before closing and said I would bring it back that night. I brought it back that night and the gate was locked, there was a sign on the gate saying â€œif after hours drop trailer off in at&t parking lotâ€. But there was no at&t next door. I brought the trailer back home and returned it the next day. I asked where I was suppose to return the trailer and they told me it was the business next door that used to be a at&t. Now I got a text saying I owe 130$ dollars. I would have left the trailer if the sign on the gate told me the correct place to return it. They need to change the sign on the gate so that people know where to return the trailers after hours.GARRISON C.

The original size uhaul and location did not have what we reserved. We spent hours trying to find a uhaul and dolly and was sent to several locations. Spent 3 hours trying to get uhaul and equipment. Then had remake multiple trips because we had to take a smaller truck. Really made us spend more time than expected. I'm a single pregnant mother of 4 and this was the worst experience for me and my family.Marcia M.

The corporate computer would not connect to complete my contract. Finally, the attendant was able to get cust serv on the phone and create a phone rental.The truck sticker said it was inspected in August 20. I doubt it. The ignition switch was a continual hassle getting it to work... wiggling the gear shift nor the switch itself helped. Sometimes, 20 attempts at turning the key to get it started. The check engine light was on when I took the truck, advivse the attendant, she said go ahead and drive it. When i returned it, the attendant asked if the truck ran ok, it did, and she put it back in line. Gas mileage was terrible. About 8 mpg. When I got back to the rental company, they were gone to a funeral so I attempted to call customer service. Waited on line till I got tired, downloaded the Uhaul app and tried to check out, the app would not accept my position even tho I had the location app on. Here's a hint, your computer sstem needs attention of a renter to try i tout. Your turck inspector oughta be checked to see what he checked when he sign that ticket on the door jam.
