The pick up location is fine, the 24/7 share app is garbage and had me sitting for 3 hrs and after 8 phone calls into uhaul I finally got the keys at 11:30 pm when I was there at 8:15. I am waiting for a call within 48 hours to make a complaint further on this.

Uhaul held my reservation hostage until I paid a bogus " outstanding balance" from 2014. I had no choice to pay it or lose my moving truck. There is no way that I had any outstanding debt to Uhaul. I rented a pull trailer and the location had my card number. Get it? THEY HAD MY CARD NUMBER. THEY CHARGED MY CARD. You do not get out of paying. THEY CHARGE YOUR CARD. As far as I am concerned, Uhaul extorted 60.00 + out of me. WHAT A SCAM. You turned an already miserable moving day into the day from hell. I will never rent another vehicle from Uhaul again and will go out of my way to rent from another company

We ordered the 15 foot truck online on 4/24/19 through U-Haul.com to be picked up at Ragland Rd, Beckley WV location at 9:00am on 4/27/19. We declined moving supplies throughout the order process but accepted the insurance. My credit card and driver's license information were entered and my credit card was charged $153.79. The email we received was not a receipt but an order confirmation to connect to U-Haul.com. I received a text message on 4/26/19 that I would be picking up the truck at Beaver, WV. I called the Beaver, WV location and spoke to the U-Haul lady who said that she had a confirmation that I would be picking up a truck there at 8:00am on 4/27/19. I told her we ordered the truck to be picked up at Ragland Rd at 9:00am and she gave me the 1-800 number to U-Haul. I spoke to U-Haul who said that the confirmation was for Ragland Rd but they didn't have a 15 foot truck there but she didn't understand why I didn't get a phone call or email explaining that. She said she gave me the additional 3.8 miles of extra mileage due to the location change. The location is 6 miles to my location instead of 3.8 miles and we were not credited for any mileage. My wife called the location on Saturday to confirm we would be picking up the truck at 9:00am and the man said the U-Haul lady doesn't work on Saturdays and he would need the truck number to release the truck. My wife called customer service who put her on hold and contacted the location. Customer service said they would walk the man through it once I arrived. I arrived at the location and the door was locked. I called and he then came to the door. He called the lady at U-Haul. She asked if I wanted insurance and I told her my wife had already paid for insurance and the truck. She said the charge to our credit card was a pre-authorization so I paid for the truck and insurance again which was $30 more than the first charge. The location was dirty and I had to walk through mud to get to the truck. My wife contacted our credit card company who said there was a charge by U-Haul and not a pre-authorization for the $153.79. My wife then called the U-Haul customer service number and was transferred multiple times and told the charge was for "services" but they couldn't say what those services were. My wife explained several times we didn't order anything except the truck and insurance. They were going to transfer her for the third time. My wife called the manager at the drop off location instead. Scooby said they could see the charge but not what the charge was for. My wife called U-Haul customer service again on 4/28/19 and was told that she would need to contact U-Haul online to discuss charges for moving supplies which she again explained she didn't order. They gave her the number to call which is closed on weekends. My wife filed a dispute with our credit card. We will never reserve a truck online through U-Haul.com and will not rent from U-Haul again.

The truck that was rented was very dirty and the cab smelled like a wet dog. Dog hair was all over and I had to clean it out somewhat to be able to drive it for the 500 mile trip. Customer service was notified.
