Representative seemed to not be trained on how to check out a UHaul to a customer. When we got to the truck she started the car checked the miles and told me to drive safe because if there's damages I'll ge charged. I was expecting to do a walk through with the rep. (Because thats the only way to truly know whether there was damage before I leave the lot that wasn't documented) and when I asked her about it she said “there's no need they document everything in the system” and started to walk back to her transport van. I had to basically twist her arm to do an in person walk through. I also still don't have an email wit my update lower price since I returned the truck exactly how I received it. Had it not been for the people at the drop off location being nice, inviting and knowledgeable I don't think I would ever use Uhaul again. Overall the WORST Uhaul experience I've ever had!

Return at these sattelite locations is difficult. Hard to find, not dedicated to u-haul, this required an extra 1 Mile drive from the service desk to the drop yard and then return to the desk. This is my second experience in a month with a non U-haul drop location. These locations are not convenient or easy to use.

The original place that I booked did not have the U-Haul size that I needed so I got an email a day before to go to snatcher location about 5 miles away from original location. That was all fine till I showered up at the Marriott location in Long Beach, the person that was at the desk was not the U-Haul rental person so the person in charge was called in to help. That lady was rude and unprofessional. She said they closed at four and she was not going to help me. The email that I received the day before was from the Marriott location and my reservation was for 4:30 pm. If they knew they close at 4 o'clock why did they confirm a 4:30 PM pick up? Needless to say I didn't get the U-Haul till the next day and I was so upset I said my husband to pick it up.

I have booked the reservation at 10:00 AM oN 9/29. then the lady called me at 10:15 at that day. she said no more 26 feet truck. I was comeing back from SD Stuck out overthere and meantime my helper has waited at storage. everything is mess up and gave me only $50 DISCOUNT???so frustrated?? SO SAD FOR THIS TIME.

I waited over 30 minutes for a rep to arrive at the branch. No apology was give. And she tried to rush me out with out a receipt. When the 2 reps arrived to the branch they casually began talking about their lunch and exchanged money for lunch before attending me or even greeting me.

This location is saying I returned the car with an almost empty tank of gas which is 100% false and charged my account without authorization. I returned the truck with 1/8 of a tank of gas. The employees didn't do an inspection or anything. Just asked for the keys and where I parked. I would like to be credited back the amount that was charged on my account without my authorization or I will be contacting my bank for fraudulent charges

There was no signs to say that the U-Haul is in the car rental place that was inside The Marriott, the lot was at a different location, which isn't a problem in itself if you have two vehicles. However, our problem is that we got charged for an extra day although we returned the truck almost 3 hours ahead of our scheduled drop off. The manager wasn't at the location and the girl said to just leave the key with her. The manager was supposed to email us our receipt. He or she did, the day after we dropped it off, and charged us an extra day. We emailed them back and are still waiting for the response. Just because the manager wasn't there, doesn't make it right to charge us, that is theft. Completely unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

More precise instructions on locating the key drop box. However, enjoyed the convenience of the drop off location. I truly enjoyed the ease of the return process. Very impressed with the ease and the clear step by step instructions when using the return Mobil service, will recommend it to others.

The parking lot was located at a different site and this information was not communicated. Being a Sunday, this caused problems. Also, I've been charged another $58 and I have not received a receipt.

The "remote" drop-off was very convenient; however, there was no signage indicating that we were in the right place (and no person to confirm that we were in the right place). It was awkward to wander around a hotel restaurant entrance looking for a place or person to leave the key with. The idea is great, but the execution needs to be more clear on the details.

You need to man the front desk better. We had to wait for awhile and another lady renting a car was super unhappy but that is related to Allied Rent A Car. Any ways, whomever did the bill charged me for furniture blankets which they most likely knew there were none available. I asked the rental car person to have the Uhaul manager call me back so I could be reimbursed. She has not called me back yet. Her name is Reyanna Manchego. I called the general UHaul number to get my refund started but now I have to call this location again to see where my refund is at this point.

There was some confusion as I made this reservation online and was able to select the mobile pickup option for this location yet it doesn't appear that the location was set up for that. I ended up having to go through the rental associate, which is fine, except I ended up wasting time looking around for the truck which happened to be nowhere near address of the pick up location. Overall, the rental process was fine, it just would have been nice to know the procedure for pick up was going to be different than advertised.

The front desk agent didnt show up until 1 hour past the reservation and claimed she overslept. So we waited there for over an hour with movers ready but no truck.

The lady at the counter did not know what she was doung. She had to call for help which took an extra 15 min. She also helped another customer who came after me. Why disnt she finish helping me first? And he attitude was pretty shitty. She spoke really quiet and with no emotion. She seemed like she hated smher job or just disnt care or both. The other woman who helped her knew what she was doing but she wasnt friendly either. The guy driver was feiendly though. Will never go back to this location.

It seemed that the check out process is a bit inefficient. The trucks are off site and the rep had to drive over to get the truck. I might try to online service next tome. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with.

The only problem I had was I was rented this truck with exactly 1/2 tank I returned it with 3/4 of a tank to get charged .93 because I went over 2.1 miles? So ridiculous because in that case I should of got money back for having more gas in the truck then when I rented it!! Not hood customer service in that regards!!

Please have pictures taken of the inside of the back of the truck. The wheel wells and gas fill cover that were in the bed made packing a challenge. Thank you for a clean , tidy , well oiled machine.

The contract and personnel need to make it clear the where you drop of the truck is a mile away from the office location where you drop off the key. It also needs to state that the office is not Uhaul, but Allied Car Rental and inside the Marriott Hotel. There were two other customers, driving in circles looking for the locations. I would not recommend this location.

I went on line and decided to do pick up with my mobile phone due to my pick up time being so early. When I went to pick up truck I was helped by someone as normal. No problem with this...just was a little misleading by what I expected. Overall great experience.

The whole reservation was bad, starting at the first location not being open to driving 15 minutes to the second location and the employees not being there and had to wait 25 minutes and should of had the truck all ready for an hour and a half. And had to pay my movers for that loss of time.

Initially I ordered the truck to be picked up at the Cherry/Carson Street location. On my way to picking it up there I get a call that it's not available and I would need to pick it up at the 4700 Airport Plaza Dr., Long Beach. I asked the person who called me, to send the address. She did but she never said the office was "in" the Marriot. I spent my time looking & calling until we actually ran into one of the employees at the lot. :-/ Please let your clients be more specific, and don't charge the miles when we need to pick up at another location and the reservation for a different location was confirmed. Thank you.

So I was worried when I got to Allied and the woman was not there for me to rent from. But she showed up quickly after and everything was great. Kristin and the other woman did a great job getting me the vehicle. The 26ft. truck ran great. And I've never rented a "clean" U-Haul truck so I can't start blaming anyone now.. LOL I am renting again from them for this weekend!

I put 15 mi on the truck going to three different locations trying to get an appliance dolly that was supposed to be with the truck when I got there. I got charged for this mileage and had to pay for gas and caused me to lose 3 1/2 hours of my day of moving. Fuck

Not commit gas fraud. I left with 5/8th of a tank and after driving 1 mile it dropped to half a tank. (I have pictures as well to prove it) I informed the uhaul agent from my rental place and she said to fill the gas up to 5/8th still and she would reimburse me for the wrong tank. Nothing was discounted or corrected.

I don't like that I reserved a truck at one location and was changed to another location, poor business practice on Uhaul's part. The website tells you if there are no trucks available when you reserve so it should not allow reservations that cannot be fulfilled. Finding the Uhaul rental desk was difficult as I didn't see any information on my reservation confirmation that it was inside a hotel so drove around for a bit in an Uber before calling the Uhaul number on my confirmation where the recording told me it was in a hotel. After-hours drop off was difficult. I couldn't remember where the off-site lot was so had to go to the hotel and get the phone number posted at the desk which should have been on the rental agreement that had been given to me. I could not find the key drop box at the off-site lot where I thought I was told it was but found a homeless person sleeping there instead. Not a good situation for a woman and her female transportation to be in. Had to go back to the hotel to drop off the key. The truck was dirty when I received it, not a big deal but could not see out the front window well and no washer fluid in the tank. Truck given to me at "1/4 tank" but was just below that when started it up. Decided it wasn't worth the hassle as I was on a time crunch. I rent Uhauls a few times a year and was not what I was used to expecting. It could be better at this location with the set-up that they have, just more attention to details.

Absolutely ridiculous. Even though it says open 24 hours, it's not. We got there “after hours” even though their listed business hours said until 10 and it was only 8:30. Nobody was sitting at the check-in desk and there was no sign indicating where the receptionist went. No holiday hours were posted (it was Labor Day). We called the number given and the phone at the desk rang. This was the only number provided. There was a hand drawn map stating where to drop off the uhaul, which was upside down and backwards. When following the map, it lead us to an empty parking lot for a repair shop and a sushi shop, with no signs or indications of where to take a uhaul. We returned to the desk where there was finally a receptionist who claimed the map was correct and began yelling at us and eventually refused service and called security over, all because she didn't want to admit she was wrong. She refused to direct us to the lot herself, claiming it was “too dangerous” for her to go to, yet she has been sending customers there alone. We eventually find the lot which is hidden behind trees and bushes with no lighting or signage to direct anyone there. There was nobody guarding the gate or there to assist customers. You had to climb through garbage and metal rods to wedge yourself between two sheds where the key drop box was located. The drop box was not locked. Anybody can take the keys and steal a uhaul from the lot. We called back to the front desk to tell her about the situation and she hung up on us. DO NOT GO TO THIS UHAUL DROP OFF. Horrible customer service and dangerous circumstances to drop off your vehicle.

Very difficult to find the location was just a waste of time. Driving around trying to locate the building, which shows that it's at the Marriott, which it is not, then you try to ask someone at the Marriott for help and they have no clue what you're talking about. Finally we found a very friendly security guard on the premises and she directed us to the location and told us in fact that the key drop off is at the Marriott. You should really fix this issue, reviews show that this is something that everyone has an issue with.

Mobile service not available at the location. Only you don't find out till you get there. Told truck available at 7am, but location didn't open till 8. Then person working at rental location was late by 10 minutes. Didn't tell me that truck was offisite. Called to find out where to drop off truck and was told at rental desk. Arrived next day to drop off to be told by same rude rep that I needed to take it to the off site. I refused and was then told that I would be charged a late return fee for not taking it and because I was 10 minutes late on return. I was issued the truck at 809 on Saturday and returned it at 0817 on Sunday. Rental agency employee rude and the 24 hour assistance person, Robert Kuiper never answered and never called back. No voicemail until Sunday when it stated he wouldn't be available all weekend. Just a frustrating joke. Best part was truck was clean except for the ants inside. Something needs to be done at this location. It's embarrasing, frustrating and flat out not a good location.

Make the drop off process simpler. The address given is for the Long Beach Marriott. No signs from parking lot regarding Uhaul drop off. Had to park and go inside hotel to find the kiosk for Allied Rent A Car, then was told we had to drive to another location to leave the truck. When finally got the the designated drop off area, there was no one there, just an empty lot next to airport. Had to call to figure out where to leave the keys, which is in a box hidden between 2 sheds. Very confusing process which took way to long. Didn't help that the receptionist for Allied was rude and uninterested.

Appointment was for 0800. Left earlier to be there on tome as I had not been to that location before. The Uhaul station is hidden inside of the hotel. No markings or signage visible indicating that it was inside of the hotel (multiple others who had come through had the same complaints). The person who usually runs the Uhaul accounts decided not to come in that day. The represented who is supposed to cover in that case came in with a shuttle full of people and rented out and drive all of those people to their rentals prior to helping me. That took about an hour. Then the rep covering for the Uhaul accounts decided that she would try to help me, but low and behold she does not have the login to help me so begins texting on her cell to get the info she needed (I'm assuming she was texting for that purpose). Meanwhile I have movers at the house to help me move. Lost time with them. Approximately an hour. This was the stupidest thing ever. The rep should be able to tell approximately how long I was going to have to wait and made a short phone call to the Uhaul on Cherry and Carson and referred me there. This location is useless to keep and I'm sure the workers at the other location would appreciate the extra hand there since I've been there and they've complained about it taking awhile since they were short staffed.

Despite reserving equipment ahead of time, there was no guarantee that my equipment was ready in my car and it took nearly an hour to check in even though I did online check in. This location needs a better system of ensuring that the equipment rented us available and that their staff knows the U-Haul system.

There was no attendant on duty during business hours. We called and were told to leave the keys in drop box and truck in lot. The next day we were contacted and told our vehicle had not been returned. Still trying to straighten it out. So lame.

We reserved a Uhaul online and requested an applicance dolly and a furniture dolly. When we arrived to pick up the Uhaul, we were told that there were no dollies available. Then the clerk said she would go to the location where the Uhauls were located (not onsite) and look for dollies. She returned to say that there was a furniture dolly but no appliance dolly. When you reserve something in advance, you should expect that the location would have the equipment that you requested. When we picked up the Uhaul at the offsite location, we were told that someone would be there when we returned it to check it in. We arrived to return the Uhaul and no one was there. We called the office and no one answered. We had to return to the office and finally found someone there. They had to return to the offsite location to check the mileage and condition of the vehicle. This was all a huge inconvenience and very inefficient. We will not rent from this location again and may look for another company to rent from in the future.

When renting the truck I requested a hitch for pickup truck rental, the location where I picked up truck did not have hitch available. U had to drive to another uhaul location to rent. Also, the location where I picked up the truck wouldn't rent the truck unless I provided them a secondary phone # which I didn't have. They stated they wanted someone to validate my identity?

Rented white pick up and it was dirty on the i inside and out. Now this was rented via Rental Car desk in a hotel . It seemed to me that truck is re -rented from one customer to the next. Console was dusty as well
