The truck i rented broke down. I had to call uhaul roadside assistance and wait for 2 hours for a mechanic to show up. After looking at the vehicle for over an hour he wasnt able to figure out what was wrong. I had to call a uhaul tow truck to come pick up the truck and that took an extra 1 hour. When i spoke to the customer service rep on the phone i was told i wouldnt be charged for this rental because of all the problems i had to go through. I still received an invoice saying my visa was charged. I am not happy with this experience with uhaul.Daniel P.

Interior of vehicle was extremely dirty, outside of vehicle was just as bad the front bumper was almost off, dings and scratches everywhere. Uhaul should really consider updating their fleet, until then I probably won't be renting again.Edward N.

I would recommend with a bit of hesitancy. when you are moving, a flexible schedule is required. needing to be t the location at the EXACT time the pick up is scheduled, is challenging when there is no one manning the location. we had to adjust our timing as we went there and no one there to greet us. we had to come back at the EXACT prescribed time. not conducive to a schedule which needs flexability.Wesley M.
U-Haul made critical changes twice for my booking. First was for the pickup location (Etobicoke to Mississauga), and then the pickup time (8:30am to 12:00pm). The pickup location changes were understandable but the time change was unacceptable. We were moving from Toronto to Ottawa and needed the truck on the morning of the move (Dec 4). When I called the pickup location to tell them that I needed the car at 8:30am instead of 12pm, the person just said that he can't do that and instead told us to come pick it up by 6pm on Dec 3rd. This sudden change has cost us $60 of overnight parking. In addition, when we arrived to pick up the truck, the person at the reception has made a mistake and didn't tell us that by changing the driver's name it would remove the original driver from the insurance. We realized this after completing the sign off. The person called the dealership support on how to add an additional driver to the insurance and the dealership support person's answer was that they can't do anything about it. When I asked if we could cancel the whole transaction and redo it to add the original driver, the dealership support's answer was yes, but the reception person's response was very reluctant. He commented that it's gonna take a long time to complete that. Regardless we redid the whole contract and were able to complete the sign off. This whole process has been a nightmare and the reception person was not helpful. Will not recommend this place as a pick up location.DAVID R P.

For starters, when I talked to customer service first I was told that the truck was booked for the time â² I had set up. When I showed up on the day of, there was a huge problem with picking up the truck. I was told by the agent that I had to have a credit card in order to get the truck. When I originally booked it, there was nothing mentioned about a credit card . I was not happy about it. Then I had to book another one for a later time â² and then when I arrived at the other location to pick up the second one I had the same issue with needing a credit card to use the truck . The second agent told me that I also needed a credit card to get the truck . So instead of having a credit card for the truck I was then asked for $100 dollars and then I could take it and that he would just deduct the charges from the money . Once we came to the agreement 欄 and I was able to get this done âœ" I had to go to an ATM machine and get some cash 螺. Once that was over and I was finally able to get the truck , upon my careful look inside of the truck there was Styrofoam in the back of the truck. At this point I just wanted to get it over and done âœ" with. I was not a happy person but I still did what I needed the truck for. The gentleman finalizing the reservation was bery polite. However, the truck they rented me had a broken drivers mirror held on by packing tape? The windows were disgusting dirty, the inside was dirty. In our current COVID environment this is totally unacceptable. Was very disappointed when it gave me the option of 24hr chexk in and the day before they email at 230pm telling me that location doesn't offer that service and I had till 5pm to show up and get my truck? They did give me extra time but I had to make arrangements with work to leave for an hour. That is not really acceptable. I had selected a 930am pickup via mobile but was only notified 4pm the day before via phone call that I had to pick up the keys before 6pm today to get my vehicle at that time since no one would be at the store until noon tomorrow. I only found out when I picked up the keys that the vehicle size I wanted was not available and I could only get something bigger - this was a huge problem for me since I had was able to drive a vehicle that size. I did not appreciate the last minute notifications on all these items which did not allow me much time to adjust my plans.Jonathan M.

Very disappointed in the online pickup process. The Uhaul was booked for 11:30 AM, arrived on time and tried to use the Uhaul website as instructed but the website failed to load and timed out in different steps of the process. Eventually gave up and had to wait for the location to open at 12 PM for the person pickup. A good 30 mins wasted for nothing. Only reserve your pickup during office hours, online pick up doesn't work and very frustrating.Bing L.

I've used this before and didn't have an issue. Today the customer services reps were terrible. They told me it was approved and I should get my code but never did. They closed the chat before I can confirm. I had to contact back customer service then they re routed me to call the Canadian scheduling number. Overall it took almost an hour and half to checkin. Agent at store was unhelpful, rude, and discourteous. Overall deplorable service. Had to wait for over 30mins to pick up truck, which compromised my elevator reservation for my move out. This is utterly unacceptable and disappointing. In addition, the truck I originally booked was double booked and the agent on the phone had asked me to tell the people to take another truck in the lot. This was extremely unreasonable. The agent at the store was also more helpful, respectful, and pleasant to the Caucasian appearing individuals who arrived after me. It was evident being BIPOC influenced the service I received. Well most of the vehicle was clean and i marked it clean while picking it up. But the driver and passenger seats fabric was too much dirty. Seems like someones pet accompanied them in the van. Also there was some used tissue papers found in the compartment inside door panel. The cargo area was clean but furniture derbis was found from previous occupant. Online service. If there is technical difficulties between the steps of verifying and activating a reservation an email detailing pertinent information such as the pad lock code should be included. I stood outside the truck for upwards or 30mins on hold with customer service calls dropped continuously before I could get into contact with someone who could help me. All because the lock code wasn't included in the email. Or a link to complete the check points to finish activation. Someone needs to look into thatPriscilla A.
