The uhaul I had rented had many unseen issues with it. The pre-check list that was sent for me to review showed exactly everything that was on the uhaul. However, it was the things that weren't on the check list that had issues. Issue one, the lights in the cabin did not work and the knob to turn the cabin light was jammed. Issue two, there was no light bulb in the trailer itself so it made moving things at night very difficult and cut my day short. Issue three, inside the trailer there was a small panel on the floor that was broken and sunk in every time we stepped or rolled over it, which, almost caused multiple injuries. Last issue, the latch to the trailer itself would sometimes get stuck making it difficult to close the latch and lock it. It was an unsatisfactory experience but we had no other choice but to use it. We didn't want to waste more time finding a replacement uhaul.MICHAEL L.

The equipment I rented was vandalized the night before my rental. The catalytic converter was stolen. The agent quickly moved my reservation to another location. I am thankful for the actions and the rental. However, the move to another location cost me additional in mileage fees, and delayed my starting time. The equipment at the second rental place was not very clean. The business center as also busy with their second business and it seemed I was a second thought. I have rented from all season before and their equipment is clean and maintained. I will rent from there again.Christopher P.

How does a $19.95 truck turn into a $144 charge? I was charged $27 for using a CC...and CC WAS REQUIRED!! I OWN A MOVING COMPANY AND FREQUENTLY RENT TRUCKS FROM REPUTABLE FIRMS LIKE ENTERPRISE AND PENSKE. UHAUL HAS A TERRIBLE REPUTATION BECAUSE THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS. The employee working on tue march 23rd 2021 at the 8524 florin rd Sacramento location, upon checking out the equipment, informed me, after running my card, that "credit card machine is not working" and asked if i can pay cash. I welcomed the opportunity because an hour earlier my card was declined at another uhaul location because of low balance and i had just made the deposit online but wasn't sure if the funds had cleared yet. And so i handed the employee the cash and went outside to hook up the trailer. He stayed in. I dont even know if he gave me the contract or said it will just be emailed but upon returning a different employee said to just drop it off in a spot so i did and without thinking twice i just left. The next day i realised my card was charged and looking at the online contract learned that there is no nention of the cash i had paid. An investigation should be launched into that employees conduct. I was thr last costumer there on tuesday match 23rd around closing time that being 6 or 7 pm. If there are cameras there and the footage hasnt been destroyed they will provide evidence of a crime that took place. That man should be held accountable. It happened at the worst possible time and caused a domino effect resulting in tremendous anguishMateusz C.

I went in 3 weeks early to reserve a 4x8 trailer and even got a confirmation email confirming it was available at a different location that was 15 min away from previous spot originally reserved. then i get a call the day before saying they don't have one available now even though i reserved 3 weeks earlier and was confirmed that you had one 2 days prior to my date of needing it. Then i was given a text with a location to pick up the next size up and that morning of my reservations i called that location and was told they had nothing for me and then found 1 at a location that was an hour away from my place. This is very poor service and couldn't believe the run around i had even after reserving 3 weeks earlier then i needed to insure you had it and was confirmed 2 days prior you did then to be told you didn't.Shane K.
We reserved a 4x8 cargo trailer, and had to drive an hour to pick it up. Upon arrival, we realized it was a 5x8 cargo trailer and they didn't have a 4x8 like we had reserved. We had to pay the more expensive price, the trailer was in poor condition, the facility was filthy, and it took a really long time to complete the reservation. I would like to be reimbursed. I had to take the trailer home and use dawn dish soap to get the motor oil off the bed of the trailer before I could put anything in it. I was not given any paperwork at all. No contract, no receipt nothing. Didn't even know the account or contract number. When I returned the trailer I had to unhook it myself. I tried to call uhaul and was oh hold for over an hour so I hung up. Not pleased at all. Never had an experience like this wilth a uhaul rental or dealer. Extremely unhappy.ANNETTE M.
I was a little upset, I ordered the utility Dollie to help move my refrigerator. I noticed the dollie was not in the back of the truck. I contacted Uhaul by live chat and email and did not get a response. I had to borrow a dollie from a neighbor. Once I returned the rental I let the gentleman known there was no dollie and he tried to telI me I wasn't charged for one . Which I showed him I was.I will be back in contact to receive a refund. When booking the reservation, U-Haul website had this listed as a 34 hour drop off, that was why I picked it because I knew I would be late dropping off the rental. When I arrived I completed the checkout process on the app which was easy but there was no drop box at the location for the key, so I left the van at the location and had to return the following day to bring back the key which was an inconvenience as it was 30 minutes one way to drop the key off. Staff was unknowledgeable about trailers and unable to inform what size hitch ball was required or able to assist me with tightening ball or hitching up trailer. Also, I had to call the 800 number to request assistance because management wanted to rent the trailer I had reserved earlier to someone else that drove in off the street. I made a reservation for a 10' truck to be picked up at 8:00AM. I arrived at the location that was provided to me by UHaul.com. My reservation was placed on-line. I also requested two helpers. When I arrived at the location to pick up the truck the placed was closed. The vehicles were in a gated area with a guard dog. The owner of the place arrived at 8:30AM. I told him I already paid for the truck. He said that the card was not charged. But the card was charged $165.00. I uplifted the truck and used it for it's intended purpose. When I returned the truck. The owner charged my card twice. Now I have to get a refund and I don't know how long this will take. Teribe experience. Very poor. I would never recommend this uhaul to ANYONE. They screwed up my reservation and now I am paying the consequences. I am relocating for a job and had to push back my move four days! They added additional fees and tacked on items that I had declined. They wanted me to drive to two different locations to pick up the equipment. When I asked for an explanation of the charges they were unable to give me one. When I cancelled and requested a refund they did not refund the entire amount and now I am waiting on the other $200+ from the original $1000+ amount that is going to take 2-3 business days. The people in the office have been as helpful as they are able to be but I am not impressed with their lack of communication.Ivy B.
