Friendly and helpful
Kenneth CUpon renting the truck the uhaul representive said the gas tank amount and milage were wrong on the paperwork and he would correct the error. To make sure he did what he said he would do, I had previously taken a picture of the milage and gas immediately prior to leaving the lot. Upon return, It had shown that I had driven only 34 miles and replaced the fuel above the level I received it. Upon checking out, the representative tried to overcharge for the milage, more than 20 miles overcharge since he never updated the information as we had discussed. I told him I had picture proof. He checked my phone and said he would make the change and correct I asked him for some additional consideration for the hassle, and he exclaimed over and over "I'm being a Karen and acting entitled", I was shocked considering I would have been overcharged for his mistake and then on top of it, he took the liberty to insult me. I was merely trying to point out it shouldn't be up to the customer to catch mistakes and request to be treated fairly and some consideration for having to prove I was right so I wouldn't get ripped off!
Kurt JDrop off went quickly and smoothly. Easy to enter and park the trailer I rented. The entire area was concrete making a clean and pleasant experience. I would recommend this U-Haul location to anyone looking for service in this area. It must be said somewhere in this review, the original drop off location I was directed to was two hours out of my way. After calling U-Haul dispatch, I was able to get one only an hour out of my way! There are multiple U-Haul locations nearer where I wanted to drop it off, one only a mile away from where I was. I drove past three of them on my way to this one. U-Haul dispatch does not seem to want to help the customer and is more interested in distributing the equipment at the cost of the customer. These reviews seem to be directed to the individual dealers and not the U-Haul company. The dealers I'll rate good. The equipment was exactly what I needed. The U-Haul dispatch system get a failing grade from me.
Mark AWell I first went to the location in Port Angeles and I wanted the largest Truck and they reserved the 20 foot which wasn't the largest Truck. They were supposed to call me back in a couple days but I didn't hear from them. Therefore, I stopped at the Hooker road location coming from my doctor's appt. to check on the truck. Because I needed it for Sunday March 31. I went to pick up the truck and When I realized that it wasn't the largest Truck I had gotten back to Port Angeles. Although, I called to switch it and the worker at the Hooker location wanted to switch it. However, He called someone at another location and he didn't want to switch it. I explained to him what had happened and he said that it was after 15 minutes. I expressed to to the worker that it takes me that long to get back to Port Angeles and that's 15 miles away. He said that I could bring back the truck, but I wouldn't get back my money on that truck and I could rent the largest Truck.Therefore, I had to rent two trucks and I was very unhappy with that because the guy in Port Angeles should have first rented me the largest Truck from the start. Although, The Hooker location they were very helpful and polite. The small truck was just a little dirty. I'm a woman I don't know what 20 footer is and I asked him are you sure that would be big enough. He said yes, because he used to move people. I'm a senior citizen and I'm on a fixed income and renting two trucks plus gas and ferry fees really hurt my pocket.

michael sThe back of van was not swept out; the passenger windshield wiper was not functional and the driver's side got over extended and stuck; the "out" mileage on the contract was incorrect by approximately 200 miles - (we have proof and took a picture of the mileage before we left.
John LHave a better return sign in so you know if you have the vehicle returned and not still out. We had returned the vehicle but got a call asking us when we would be returning the vehicle as it was not on the lot. Turns out that corporate came and got it but the people inside didn't know about it.
Patrick mPerhaps a bit of improved clarity on the website/reservation information regarding my reserved vehicle: After completing the reservation (it was after hours, when no office staff there to confirm the availability), down at the bottom fine print mentions a qualifier: "... subject to availability". This situation may be impossible to remedy, given the staffing and late reservation, but that uncertainty does hamper the system's usefulness to a last-minute/night-before customer. Most of your plan-ahead customers won't be affected by this little availability qualifier--they can simply call the pick-up location to confirm. Anyway, you asked. All other services involved with this rental were top-notch: Clean, useful vehicle, wonderful customer service by Scott in Sequim office, I'll definitely use this office again and recommend to others. cf

Keith JClerk had to enter rental into computer twice even though I had ordered the rental previously online. Then my husband had to ask him 4 times to open the gate so he could go fill up the gas tank before 5:00. He made it impossible to fill up in time, even though my husband had in excess of 20 minutes to go fill up and get back because he would not open the gate to let him out. Consequently we were charged $11.40 for 2 gallons of gas!! Not happy about that situation at all!!
DONNNA SI reserved a trailer for May 15th to be picked up at 12:30. When I arrived at about 12:45 the trailer that I had reserved was loaded with gravel. I said I would be back at 4:00 to pick it up but then called back and rescheduled for 8:00 a.m. this morning the 16th. Because obviously it was the end of the day and I would not be able to haul what I needed to nor use the person I had hired to work for me on the 15th. When I picked up the trailer this morning they were not open at 8:00 a.m. as posted it's about 10 after 8:00 when they finally open the gate. There was still some rock in the bottom of the trailer which spilled into my parking lot when I open the gate on the back of trailer. When I return the trailer I backed it in got out and was ready to disconnect it. The person who worked there had me get back in the truck to back it up some more a total of 4 in. When she disconnect the trailer I explained that this is the last time I will come to this location as it was the worst service I had ever experienced with U-Haul. I explained everything why and told her that this concludes our conversation and Got in my truck to leave. She then proceeded to follow me across the parking lot to yell at me that I need to chill out. That's when I stepped out of the truck and told her she needs to run her business professionally. The person has since emailed me to tell me that I will not be charged for this rental. That will at least recoup the money paid to my employee. I will definitely use U-Haul in the future but would rather use a small trailer in town and make multiple trips then go back to that location.

James WThe Uhaul measurements on your trailers are wrong; you claim the trailer is 6 X 12; however the entry is under 5 feet and you can’t load any vehicles in. I selected I was transporting a Kia and since the back entrance is under 5 feet and couldn’t use the trailer; just threw the money away.
