I submitted a complaint. This is the worst uhaul experience I have ever had.

First of all, we were scheduled to pick up the truck at 10am, it was rescheduled to 11am and the staff showed up an hour late! The belt to keep person car in place was broken and they didn't have an extra to replace. They sent us to a different location on memorial drive, and they're staff were rude and did not want to replace it. Poor customer service overall. Hire more staff and get more equipments.

It was a horrible experience. The keys to the truck that I was supposed to pick up were not there. I called someone to help me and they referred me to another location and had a truck ready for me. There were no trucks available when I went. Dirty and unorganized.

My 8 am reservation was split and the truck was changed to this location which was across town from where I live. I arrived a few mins before my appt and the location was closed. I called Uhaul and they told me that location doesn't open until a few hrs later. The Uhaul rep was able to secure me a truck back across town, so I left to go pick that one up and was late to meet my movers. The tow dolly was changed to another contractor who was unable to assist me in loading my car onto the tow dolly so overall I visited 4 locations before I was able to start my cross country move.

The issue was with the online rental process. I requested counter pick-up, which I wanted to get the keys from a person. My pick-up time was at noon. I arrived at 10:45am. The location was not opened. I had a very hard time online with completing the process to This is was not with the rental pickup location. My problem was with the online process. I had requested a counter pickup for the keys. When I arrived at 10:45am for my noon reservation the location was not open. I called U-Haul help in which I was notified that my pickup was an online process. However, my phone battery was very low as I had taken an Uber to this location. It was very difficult to complete this process. Then, my credit- card would not go through due to technical issues with your online system. I had to call online help again. While waiting and talking with your online service, I was almost robbed by a local hangout by the facility. Luckily a cop came by that scared off the intruder. Finally, I got the key after an hour and half process with this online process. but, I was charge a late fee because i didn't get the key by noon. At last, the storekeeper showed up around 1pm which the supplies I order were not in the truck. I am very, very disappointed with overall pick up process. :(

Please see email sent yesterday. No one at location for 1 hour and 42 minutes. Who seemed to be a homeless man asleep in repair shop tried to help unattach the car trailer. Three other possible customers waited as did I. We will never use UHaul again

Wasn't able to pick up the car via mobile check in. Manager said they would handle contract for me, and I was in a rush to leave so I didn't think twice about it. After picking up a table, putting 5 miles on the truck, and returning 40 minutes later, I had trouble turning the truck in as the mileage was incorrect. When I called the next day, the manager said she would take care of it, then I was billed for driving 88 miles, which would not be possible in the city of Atlanta in 40 minutes. Highly recommend not using this location as they are a shady business.

The site didn't have a clear office, and no obvious person to talk to about dropping off the trailer. We had to drive into a small parking lot with no turn around area. A mechanic working at the site helped us remove the trailer from our car. We asked if there was anything else we needed to do before we left and he said no. Four days later I was notified the uhaul was listed as “missing”. The site did not inform uhaul the item had been dropped off.

The wrong key was given for the truck assigned. Luckily, it went to the next truck over but that messed with the check in process and check out process in terms of mileage and fuel. The actual place was closed so I couldn't get the furniture pads and dolley I had ordered. The main issue I had was there being a man sleeping in the back of my truck. All the trucks are left open and unlocked so I had to ask this man to leave before I pulled away. I'll likely never get a uhaul from a smaller place again and this experience was definitely not easy nor seamless.

I did not expext to pull up to a business as unkept as this one...and there was not a clearly marked place to park my car on their property. The surrounding block was fairly sketchy and there was no parking.

This was one of the most HORRIBLE experiences I've even had in my life. Please DO NOT RENT a u-haul from this location on Flat Shoals and Memorial drive. He lift the back before I left and there was a homeless person in the back sleeping. Only response he gave me was "Do you want me to sweep it out?" SMH

I had problems with the app. The morning of my reservation, it was changed to this place. I went to pick up at 10am, but the app wouldn't let me do it and gave me an error. I had to call uhaul to fix it. Originally, the app gave me the owner's number to call, but he was operating a different location in duluth so he was useless. They changed my contract so it would work. It didn't work, so I had to call again. They had to change the truck to a bigger size for it to work. It did work, but by then it was past 11am. Such a waste of time dealing with that when u should be focused on moving.

There was one spot left and it was confusing. I was approached by MANY homeless people and they wouldn't leave me alone without an attendant I felt extremely afraid and unsafe. It was horrible. I would never go to this location again

Having trucks available on better online customer service would be helpful. The automated system is a waist of time and is of no value in an emergency. There was no one there to assist me so I had to do a self check in. Rheda and Brian on the uhaul chat were no help at all. I informed them that I was in a terrible neighborhood and needed them to get me checked in as quickly as possible and received very little response or help along with 0 concern for my safety. As I shooed showed crack heads away from me, Rheda aborted the chat all together after I informed her that I wasn't safe. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any company. It took an hour and a half after visiting two locations just to get a truck. That's unsatisfactory because I had a reservation in place 5 days prior to my move. I was told by one location that I couldn't take a truck because someone else MIGHT pick it up between 11 and 5. I was very upset by this because there were 4 trucks sitting on the lot yet I was sent to another location. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul and you all will not be my first choice next time.

The rear door on the truck was difficult to both open and close. This was not apparent at pick up as the door was closed. I returned the truck before 4:30 on the day it was due. The business was closed despite it being normal business hours. The contract says I returned the truck empty. I returned it with OVER the 1/4 tank I received it with and have a photo of the dash to show that.

Everything. Truck had no gas, didn't have the items I requested, person taking care of U-Haul asked us for money. Shamed us for not having any money to give. Truck wasn't ready on time. It was completely unprofessional, it made me te think using U-Haul ever again.

When I arrived at this location, I realized it was a closed business with nobody available to interact with if there was an issue. When I picked up the truck from the location, the door was stuck open because the latch had jammed itself between the top of the truck and the door itself. Because there was nobody to speak with on-site, I could not get help or switch to a different truck. I ended up having to call roadside assistance and wait an hour for a team to show up to fix the door.

Better signage once on the premise. The office is way in the back of a tire store/mechanic shop, not easy to find and no sign on the door. However, the woman in the office was extremely personable and helpful. Would definitely use this location again.

Not sure what's going on with the location but there were plenty of homeless people wandering around. It was fine for a drop off. I just parked the truck, put the key in the box and we left. It was fine. No problems.

The gentleman at pickup was very helpful and friendly in getting the trailer attached to my car. The gentleman at drop off was not helpful and did offer any assistance or guidance in where to put the trailer. The chains at pickup were nearly worn through at multiple points and should have been replaced.

The area to drop the trailer was an irregular shaped area that was also used to park/store cars, vans, etc. being serviced by their primary bussine, a garage. The ability to park the trailer in the location instructed to use was very difficult due to tires, wheels and vehicles haphazardly littering the area.

This van was filthy inside. The pick-up was at 7pm and the app would not work. It took speaking to two different people in customer service and didn't get into the vehicle until an hour later when it was almost dark. The next morning I could see how disgusting the surfaces in the cabin were. I had to spend a half hour cleaning it before it was comfortable to use. I will be submitting pictures and details to Uhaul. Given the conditions of the vehicle and the hassle of using the app, I will think twice before using Uhaul again.

We requested counter service, but instead had to complete the entire process alone using a smart phone. Why would it be required for your customers to have a smart phone with an internet connection?? Have you taken a moment to think that maybe not everyone has such a device? While this could be a convenience for after-hours returns, it was not convenient for our pick-up. No one alerted us tot he fact that we'd have to jump through all these digital hoops. What if we didn't have such a phone?

Charged me $14 for 3 miles over but left the truck with more gas than when I took it and didn't get a credit. Fucking bullshit. Didn't even know the truck had been returned until 3 days later and called to ask me where it was...

The trailer was not ready when I arrived. People were sleeping inside the trailer the night prior. There were wet, dirty sleeping bags in there and, i'm not kidding, someones wig. I'm glad I did not purchase any padding or blankets with my order because all of them were being used by homeless people as blankets in the trailer. I'm not hard to please, but I was disgusted by the condition of the trailer.

I arrived at the end of the day, so I cannot assess the staff, but I had no problem dropping off the truck and the key (the iPhone map struggled to find the exact location, and parking is limited, but it met my needs).
