First time ever renting a uhaul and needed to move to a location only accessible by 4wd was told at time of reservation that it would be 4wd questioned at pick up and was reassured that it was 4wd.when I made it to the road the truck would not go up was stuck sliding backward on an icy incline I called uhaul and was informed that there are no 4wd vehicles in their fleet. I had to unload the uhaul into several vehicles and trucks and make multiple trips to get my belongings to the destination. When I spoke with the manager first he hung up on me when I called back he proceeds to yell and cuss at me calling me an idiot by the end of the conversation I was assured I would receive a full refund. The next day I received an email with the total final cost which was 104$ then my bank account was charged 181$ and an additional pending charge of 104$ I would not recommend this location to anyone EVER. The attendant that I spoke with barely understands English she was the same person who told me it was 4wd when I reserved the uhaul I have absolutely no idea how this manager even has a buisness as he was unprofessional and the woman who is onsite should have enough understanding of uhaul to have told me before I even reserved it that there were no 4wd

Hard to find, drove right past it twice and had to call for additional directions. The lady was very nice and helpful and explained it was next to the Peerless tireshop. Wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for the two uhaul trucks parked in the lot.

This location is too small and cramped for people who are average with trailer pulling skills to be expected to maneuver trailers around the parking lot. Not acceptable even under normal circumstances.

Long wait times. Employee did not know how to hook up and struggled to attach trailer, I had to help her. The trailer was very dirty and looked very old and run down.

The reservation process was easy but the operator did not seem to have a smooth pick up process and it was clunky and long on a hot day on a time crunch I also did a load share pick up in Rio Rancho and it took nearly an hour to attach a trailer and get me on the road and it was a huge waste of my time on trip and I was on time crunch and they only paid me $250 for load share and $400 seemed more appropriate for the distance and Hassle. The drop of trailer was 2 mins and awesome same for truck. The rest sucked

The truck was filthy I had to sweep it out before I could load it. Plus the rental agent was horrible.

The trailer I picked up from this location almost killed my family or somebody else. Either the trailers brakes or or bearing failed and caught the trailer on fire along with the side of the road.

One taillight and turning signal didn’t work. I only knew this because my wife followed me from the pick up location. This was very dangerous because I was driving an unfamiliar large vehicle in the city, having to change lanes in heavy traffic.

Let me start by saying that the equipment performed very well. That said I encountered a number of issues 1. I rented a car carrier. I verified both online and in person that the car to be towed fit on the trailer. It did NOT. So we ended up towing another car. 2. Drop off was a nightmare. While uhaul says that you can drop off at any location that is simply NOT true. We went to the location nearest our home where a rude service person told me he was simply not taking the drop off. He stated he did not care what uhaul policy was he had his own policy and was not taking it. We then went to another location 20 miles from my home where they again refused to take the trailer as they said they had too much inventory on the lot. After a long discussion they finally took it. 2. Since the second location initially refused to take delivery I called uhaul corporate and got their helpline. Their helpline was useless. They simply told me where the next uhaul location was (another ten miles further) and that maybe I should try there. When I asked whether they would in fact take the trailer she said well they should. Fortunately the second location ended up taking the trailer.

The questions you really should be asking is about yourself. Not to location. Both locations were fine we had no interaction with anybody at the drop off point Because it was roughly 3 o'clock in the morning. But at the pick up site The people wear extremely nice and accommodating but it took over 2 hours to pick up Not Because of their inability. The main problem was the repetition The contract. Most or all of the questions I had already answered 3 other times plus.. And if the reason for that is the obvious which I heard 4 times. 55 year old one legged Fat Norwegians are not blowing up a lot of buildings. So whether it's u haul. Penske. Or Jim Joe Bob's truck or trailer from up the road your paperwork is not going to stop that problem. We can save that discussion for another day. U hauls a great company have used them many times in my lifetime as great brand recognition and a great reputation don't screw it up By trying to over think everything streamlined the process.. I am not complaining about this location the small pickup location was great and helpful but as for corporate its the only place to say something. My reservation was changed many times by Uhaul personnel without notice. I was told one thing then emailed another. The dispatch person in Colorado threatened me that she would cancel my reservation and I would take what location and time she gave me and like it. Long pointless waits on customer service and a website that is so unhelpful when you are trying to change something in another country. Great local help corporate customer service was beyond deplorable.

Temp control knob was sticky, as if something had been spilled on it. Frozen in place. "office" was a small dirty desk in the back of a small dirty gas station. Sold me 'safe trip' instead of 'safe move' without any explanation of what I was getting. 'safe trip' was no help to me when the key got locked in the cab of the truck, which is when the whole situation started feeling like an episode of Portlandia. Locksmith cost me an additional $100.00 Boo. U-haul roadside assistance was less than helpful. All in all that was a pretty negative experience. You guys are on the whole considerably cheaper than the competition, so you'll continue to get my business, but I'll keep closer tabs on what exactly I'm signing up for.

Was given a trailer that license plate light was broken and told that I could take it to another uhaul to have fixed! I don't understand why I put a deposit down for a proper trailer and then have to get it fixed myself

UHaul could refrain from asking customers what their preferences are for pickup or return because UHaul makes an arbitrary decision that is not convenient for the customer after an exhausting trip. Be more honest, informing the customer that they truly do not have a choice of locations.

It is convenience store in Golden, where pot is legal. I'm old enough to not care for that scene. So it's not appealing to me personally

I was somewhat put off not being able to go to the golden location on Colfax that I’d been going to forever , over 20 years. But the kind , helpful and honest brokers on golden rd were perfect. A family establishment and couldn’t of had a better experience.

No where to stand or sit in this convenience store. Weird location filled with lots of adult items in regards to sexual items as well as infinite tools for drugs. We will not be back.
