it would be better for U-Hail to have a better function for where to returning trailers on thee end of the trip. As I didn't have access to my information at the storage facility when I wanted to turn in the trailer earlier than the truck. I was originally told that I could turn in the trailer where the truck was to be turned in. Then not given good information from that U-Hail store. I spent an hour trying to find a place clear on the other side of Lawrence KS. I used up about 1/4 of a tank of Gas in the 26" truck pulling the trailer through in town traffic. This incident was not handle very well until I Got to the only location to turn the trailer in.

The manager, Tracy, was outstanding and very helpful. However, I was very frustrated when I arrived at her location. My reservation was made for the Wade Hampton location and rerouted without my knowledge. I did not receive a call, text or email to confirm or to let me know. When I arrived at the Wade Hampton location, the young man just stared at his computer screen, clicked, clicked & clicked some more. He never made eye contact and simply told me “that traffic changed my pickup location”. He had no solutions for me and no apologies until I continued to ask why & how this could happen. When I got into the truck, I was almost knocked over by the smell of old funk and cigarette smoke. When I turned on the AC, it smelled like a wet dog. The inside windshield looked like someone had spewed a drink all over it & the entire interior had not been cleaned in months or years. The truck worked fine and got us there in one piece which is the main thing and I am grateful for that. We were finished unpacking early, so we returned the truck early. A few minutes after 6:00 pm, we dropped the truck off at the designated location. No one was there, so we used the drop box for the key. The next morning, I got a bill. I was over my miles and was fine with that charge, but I also received a $20 fee for dropping the truck off after hours. I was very frustrated by this since I didn't know about this fee and I got the truck back early. It seems that getting back early might be a help to your team instead of causing me a penalty.

This location does not cash or no ey order. I wanted to pay in cash but couldn't. Getting funds put in cards in order to pay was the only thing I didn't care for.

AJ Service was the third attempt in this market area to drop off this car hauler. Location was dicey but personnel we helpful and offered to email receipt. Two previous attempts to return were epic fails and unsatisfactory. The WeStar Truck/Travel Center in Cowpens, SC had no personnel to accept returns and if I dropped myself they could not provide a receipt. The second location, an actual Uhaul rental and storage facility at 24 Roper Mountain Road, Greenville SC was actually proud he would not accept my return due to "no room" on the property. The return hassle greatly diminished my overall Uhaul experience.

Trailer was parked in the mud, so there was no way to walk around it. I was given the wrong key, and had to go back in to request another one. Receptionist indicated that the gas tank was full, but it was a quarter empty, and I only realized that after I had left. There was no one available to answer questions about how to operate the trailer. Blankets were supposed to have been on the reservation, but they were not, so I had to stop by another uHaul location to pick some up.

The woman was very nice who worked the desk and they did help me get the hitch on the car. However, the outdoor area was very unkempt and not very inviting. Also, I wanted to lock the trailer onto my car, but was unable to so.

Dropped off after 7 but spoke with someone prior to the drop off location, but didn't speak with anyone while arrived, the number outside if the building wasn't an accurate number to call just to verify drop off, not even a 800#.

With this pick up location they were very friendly they went above and beyond due to the fact that I was advised by customer service that this location would have the items that I needed to hook up a truck and they did not have the ball that I needed to Hitch to my truck nor the light switch that I needed to connect to my vehicle to the trailer. This location was very nice because they actually let me buy their ball from off of his personal vehicle as well as his light switch to connect from my truck to the U-Haul trailer. I'll recommend this location to anyone amazing job.

I received an unprofessional voicemail at 10:45 Saturday morning stating that if I wanted the truck , I needed to come and get it because they closed at 12 noon. It was 10:45 NOT 11:45. When I arrived at 10:50, I was not greeted. I was literally thrown the keys and told that I would have to find the truck myself. Luckily it was in the front. Every time that I have rented in the past, the attendant has gone to the truck with me to confirm mileage , gas level and to insure that I did not have any questions. The attendant has locked the doors and left at 1110 before we left with the truck. I will NEVER rent from this location again. II have used Uhaul several times over the last 35 years and I have never encountered. such rude and unhelpful behavior. Also, the back truck door opened and we could not close it. Overall BAD SERVICE and BAD EXPERIENCE.

Reservation was for 4pm -- I didn't not get out until 5pm. There were no other customers, and the truck should've been pulled up, prepped with paperwork ready to go. When I walked in, the guy was just sitting there. He pulled up the wrong truck and then had to go back and get another truck... It what was the WORST customer service experience I've ever had, the associates young child was running around the office without any clothes on, crying, screaming and engaging the customers. The associate didn't say one word to the child. It was a total lack of professionalism, and I could never in good conscience go back to a place where there's a chance a naked kid will be running around. U-Haul should be thoroughly embarrassed by this.

The first U-Haul place we went to it wasn't ready send this to another one further away had to pay extra mileage when there were some closer to where I was going

The truck we were given did not have the correct amount of gas or mileage so we had to wait for the guy there to fix it. He was going to give us another truck but it was on empty and would have to run a completely new receipt. He struggled to figure out the difference between two numbers and was getting -44,000 miles when it was supposed to be +265 miles difference. I had to tell him exactly how to do his job. We got there early at 8:15 to pick up the truck I reserved for 8:30 and did not leave until 9:15. This was a complete waste of my time and I will not be returning to this location.

I absolutely loved Julian he has excellent customer service. I was really worried about all the rental entailed he took his time to explain everything and made sure I understood. He was great and made this experience a fun time

Excellent customer service with great pricing. In and out in no time. Agent very nice and pleasant. Needed a van quickly on a Friday afternoon with short notice. Location Had in stock and picked up within an hour of reserving. Other competitors I tried first, said they had but didn't and still took my reservation and charged card. From now on I am only using Uhaul.
