People at location were great. The truck was not entirely clean. I have volumes about this point. Windsheld was okay, interior of cab, okay, interior of truck just okay. nothing big, but just okay. I know there is ofter quick turnaround, but I would have liked to see a cleaner truck. This location runs a very organized and professional operation, and do not want to take away from this favorable point. Another issue, I have an android phone. I pick up at 7.30am, and they open at 9am, so I needed to check in through my phone, which was not easy, but rather a disaster. I followed all instruction, and then it said can't find your locataion, I call live chat, and told this helpful woman that my location was on, yet she couldnt make it work via my phone, and I hit a wall. If my wife wasn't with me and used her iPhone, I could not have gotten my truck out until the shop opened, and this was not acceptable. PS your choices for answers in above are too limiting. At least offer a write in option. And Your website has bugs. Please, please look into this situation. Thank you.michael S.

The cab was filthy dirty, every time I lifted the center seat console black goo leaked out, there was food and trash in the truck. It was very nasty!!Linda H.
Whole experience was time consuming and unpleasant. An 8am pickup turned into a 9:15am pickup. I did the mobile pick up. The link in the confirmation email would not work. May account showed I didn't have a reservation even though I had a confirmation number. I had to call customer service 3 times in order to get into the truck I reserved. Returning was the same mess. Account didn't show I even rented the truck. I had to call customer service twice to get the return to work. It was frustrating.Michael S.

I rented a pick up truck and it did the job fine and drove well but is stink like a dead body had been in it ! I had to rube with the windows down on a 90 degree day. The location was a dump, some kind of mechanical shop. However the lady who took care of me was super nice and got me on the toad fast, she was the best part of my experience.MICHAEL D.

Awful experience. I have rented from uhaul for over 10 years. When you pick up the trailer on tuesday and have a 2 day rental and drop it off after hours on thursday it has never been an issue. Aj service charged me an extra $69.91. I will never rent from this location again and I will make sure everyone I know will never give this location business. I was not able to use my first choice facility. The facility I was sent to was messy. The counter person was late for work. They facility had no blankets. I had to drive to my original choice location to get blankets. I was not instructed on identifying existing damage to vehicle, so when returning the vehicle I was questioned on all damage to the truck. When I asked for help on how to load tow vehicle the counter person handed me a booklet and said they cannot assist customers. This is very poor business.Gerald W.

Was not given credit for putting extra gas in truck. When I asked the woman at the desk, she told me u-haul does no such thing, even though I offered to show her a contract where I had received credit from U-Haul beforeTYWAIN C.

I wish the representative told me this location would be closed and I would have to do self check out but she didn't. So dry on the phone. On top of it all, the truck was dirty! Not saying that it's a deal breaker but I do not want to be charged for red dirt! I don't have a dirt yard. Plus the lock in the back was extremely hard to manage. We use the app to sign at the location , however All we had for service there was 3G on our phones. It took just under 40 minutes to get through the process, which we found unexceptable. The cost was acceptable but just wasted too much time there, on return met a workman there who said they had WiFi but we were not informed of this. Just not the best experienceMichael S.

When I ordered the truck I also reserved a hand cart/truck and blankets. The original pick up location switched me to another location. That location didn't have the hand truck or blankets. It seems that if you reserve something it should be made available, regardless of the pick up location. Also, the truck had leftover trash, including a face mask and empty drink bottles. Very unsafe during COVID. The headlights were pointed up too far, so it was very difficult to see the road in the rain, fog, and ice through which we had to travel. Overall, we got the job done, but it should've gone more smoothly.BRYAN C.

it would be better for U-Hail to have a better function for where to returning trailers on thee end of the trip. As I didn't have access to my information at the storage facility when I wanted to turn in the trailer earlier than the truck. I was originally told that I could turn in the trailer where the truck was to be turned in. Then not given good information from that U-Hail store. I spent an hour trying to find a place clear on the other side of Lawrence KS. I used up about 1/4 of a tank of Gas in the 26" truck pulling the trailer through in town traffic. This incident was not handle very well until I Got to the only location to turn the trailer in.GERALD DAVID B.
The manager, Tracy, was outstanding and very helpful. However, I was very frustrated when I arrived at her location. My reservation was made for the Wade Hampton location and rerouted without my knowledge. I did not receive a call, text or email to confirm or to let me know. When I arrived at the Wade Hampton location, the young man just stared at his computer screen, clicked, clicked & clicked some more. He never made eye contact and simply told me â€œthat traffic changed my pickup locationâ€. He had no solutions for me and no apologies until I continued to ask why & how this could happen. When I got into the truck, I was almost knocked over by the smell of old funk and cigarette smoke. When I turned on the AC, it smelled like a wet dog. The inside windshield looked like someone had spewed a drink all over it & the entire interior had not been cleaned in months or years. The truck worked fine and got us there in one piece which is the main thing and I am grateful for that. We were finished unpacking early, so we returned the truck early. A few minutes after 6:00 pm, we dropped the truck off at the designated location. No one was there, so we used the drop box for the key. The next morning, I got a bill. I was over my miles and was fine with that charge, but I also received a $20 fee for dropping the truck off after hours. I was very frustrated by this since I didn't know about this fee and I got the truck back early. It seems that getting back early might be a help to your team instead of causing me a penalty.BENJAMIN P.

AJ Service was the third attempt in this market area to drop off this car hauler. Location was dicey but personnel we helpful and offered to email receipt. Two previous attempts to return were epic fails and unsatisfactory. The WeStar Truck/Travel Center in Cowpens, SC had no personnel to accept returns and if I dropped myself they could not provide a receipt. The second location, an actual Uhaul rental and storage facility at 24 Roper Mountain Road, Greenville SC was actually proud he would not accept my return due to "no room" on the property. The return hassle greatly diminished my overall Uhaul experience.michael A.

Trailer was parked in the mud, so there was no way to walk around it. I was given the wrong key, and had to go back in to request another one. Receptionist indicated that the gas tank was full, but it was a quarter empty, and I only realized that after I had left. There was no one available to answer questions about how to operate the trailer. Blankets were supposed to have been on the reservation, but they were not, so I had to stop by another uHaul location to pick some up.Fernando A.
