The attendant and the service overall was very good and so was the equipment. The only complaint I have is the complexity of gaining access to the rental through the online process. I do not have data on my phone for starters, so I would not have been able to rent this vehicle at the time I needed if it wasn't for the u-haul attendant who called me and actually set it all up for me. Is there a way to make it simpler for an average joe?SHORNEGERARD P.

The truck was old, the key was jamming half the time and I couldn't get the ramp back in. I wasted at least 1hr just to get it in.WILLIAM OSWALD N.
The truck wasn't cleaned and was in a really bad shape. There were lots of scratches and dents. I had to take pictures to prove those scratches and dent before take the truck. The truck was really bad with dirt and dust all over the place. I would avoid this place by all means. I am leaving this note so uhaul can take action and leave truck with cleanliness during this pandemic timeSUTHANRAS A.
Store owner was an hour late to open the store/ give us the truck rental. We got the truck with a 1/4 tank of gas, returned it with what we thought was a 1/4 tank of gas, and he charged us $55 for the gas; $15 for returning with less gas PLUS an additional $40 for being under a 1/4 tank. Wouldn't allow us to go and put another $5 in to bring it to the level it was at.DAVIDALAN B.
Truck was not clean. So much coffee smell. I guess coffee was spilled everywhere. They don't even have the courtesy to clean the truck in the year which is filled with coffee mug and coffee stain everywhere. Dashboard was full of dust. Very bad and maintenance and not very good interiors so much dust and stinking smell. I had a terrible time while driving because of so much smell coming from the cabin. GraciasVigneshwarren V.

WOW UHaul... was that ever one of the worst, lousiest and Most extremely poor customer experiences I have ever had ... right from start to end. (Worse than dealing with the Telco... so that gives you the yardstick on how bad this was). Key points of misery... - When booking and asking what location, I just asked for nearest location. Your rep didn't describe to me that there are UHaul sites/offices and then mom and pop resellers. - Arriving to pick up truck... surprised I was getting it from a convenience store - store owner seemed bewildered at my arrival (probably because he didn't speak any English which Is not a problem in the global sense, but it is as a customer who is relying on someone to guide them through the service experience) - store guy calls UHaul office guy for me to speak with. We set up rental for 15' truck. I go check the truck and see box is much shorter than 15'... only the small space at the top is 15' - I tell UHaul guy that it isn't long enough because I need 12'. He sends me link to dimension chart. Shows the shorter part will be 12'5â€. I ask Store guy for a tape measure but he looks at me bewildered and shakes his head. - UHaul guy says don't worry if you need 12' it is fine as it is 12'5â€. I drive truck away, go to my house 2 km away. Get my tape measure.... and WELL WELL WELL, the box length is 11' 11â€. - I take truck back to Store Guy to get bigger truck. He calls UHaul Guy#2. This person says I can get big truck but I have to pay $30 for first truck because I drove it away. I told them I WILL PAY $0 because I only drove away because Guy1 said the truck is 12'5â€ and will be fine... and StoreGuy didn't have a tape measure. I explained that due to the sketchy advice I had received and lack of communication ability with Store Guy, I THE CUSTOMER had to take it upon myself to solve the problem which was only a problem due to all round incompetence demonstrated by UHaul on the day thus far. - Guy2 said â€œsorry the system won't let me so you will be charged $30â€. I declared that I wouldn't pay and I will call up to CEO if I had to in order to explain the circus I was involved in (then magically Guy2 spoke to a Manager and came back to say no problem I won't be charged $30 ?&@! - at this point getting a truck has taken over an hour whereas I thought I would be in and out in 5-10 min max. - got bigger truck... yay... all is well. Guy2 told me that 8pm is close time At this location - when done my job with truck, I made a rush back to the Store to drop off before 8pm so I could have a smooth ending to a frustrating experience. - I arrived at 7:30pm sharp. The Store Guy and his son were just shutting the store door and I came with the truck key. The son said they are closed. I reminded them that the UHaul Guy2 told me this location closes at 8pm. He said â€œno 7:30â€. -I asked if they could quickly open the door and return the truck. He said rudely â€œnoâ€ and they walked to their car. I called out to say â€œthis is ridiculous and unfairâ€ etc. He said they are Going home to eat as they have Fasted all day (I respect their cultural/religious tradition) but not sure how that became the problem of a UHaul paying customer - I was then forced to do the online drop off and waste another 15-20 minutes in my day that was already excruciatingly frustrating - This poor experience from end to end really blew me away. - I don't think I would ever do business with UHaul again as a result. AND, I HAVENT EVEN CHECKED MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT YET BUT I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF THE $30 CHARGE IS STILL ON THERE AS A FINAL KICK IN MY ASS. I plan to check shorty. - in the end I hope this feedback somehow helps. Your staff really need to communicate better right from booking through fulfillment and return etc. If I knew I was being sent to a convenience store to get a UHaul truck I wouldn't have done it. This was my location only because my original rental location was unable to supply the contracted truck. The truck needed an inside cleaning of windows and a cab wipe down. The cargo area was good. The Passenger door needs lubing as it was very difficult to close. The location did not have moving blankets when I was assured they would be there. The appliance dolly was availlable. I had no choice as I needed a truck. Redeeming factor - the truck ran well.John B.

This was one of my worst experiences in a while. There were several times I was about to quit and leave to another rental company. Here are a few of my complaints: 1. I checked in remotely to avoid waiting for checkin in person. In the end, none of that mattered because during pick up I was asked to provide every information I gave again and that whole checkout and pick up process took a good 45mins. 2. I was informed the fees were irrespective time duration and advised I would be paying flat rate, plus km plus gas. 3. I returned back an hour later than planned due but I was later told there was a penality for late returns which was not communicated to me in advance nor mentioned in the contract 4. Returning the vehicle was another very painful process that took an another 45mins. The store clerk tried to contact the uhaul manager but his repeated calls were ignored. And when he finally got through with him to get advice he was told to put down a promisary note on my file saying I would pay the late fee. I did not aggree to that. 5. The final fee was much higher and double to comparable service from home depot. I will never come to you guys and nor would O recommend you to anyone else.SIERUEFREM K.

There was issue with the oil guage .I drove the vehicle only 87 km i fill the 15 litre of gas but the guy said its less . But with 15 litre is enough for 87 km but they charge me more which is not goodHarmanjeet D.
Not customer friendly at all. I returned the u haul time but due to issues with my phone I couldn't return it online for that when I went the next day morning to complete the process I was charged twice as much as shitty customer service. Overall very poor service.YESUDAS P.
I personally experience a great joy of the owner..he is friendly and knowledgeable and also considerable to the person who rent..i highly recommend to family and friends..keep up the good work..happy holidaysCECILIOLABRADO S.
