The truck was in rough shape usually and drove awkwardly. The wheel is kinked which makes it difficult to drive. The lock on the back did not work. The keypad lock was very difficult to open to retrieve the key.

CLIFTON L.The local dealer was fantastic - pleasant and helpful - and the van I rented was adequate and well-maintained. But U-Haul's automated pickup and return process simply did not work despite many attempts and adjustments to phone, browser, etc. When I finally gave up and called the customer service number for assistance, the wait time for an agent was 54 minutes!! I wrote an email to customer service about my frustrations, and to their credit they waived the extra fee for not completing the automated return process that didn't work. U-Haul needs better systems and more customer service agents.

grant P.Although there was nothing wrong with the location ...I was however a little upset that my original pick up/drop off location was not available. Along with the fact that the truck did not have a full tank so I had to guess on how much cash to put in to bring it back to a 1/4 tank. The truck was also so bouncy I could not have a cup of coffee in the cup holder without it spilling everywhere.

Benoit B.I had to purchase the electrical connection for the 5x8 trailer in Michigan City , In on date of rental though, I did have the hitch equipment. My son used a trailer earlier to take my grandson to college and they gave him the electrical connection to use, he did not purchase. Same vehicle used both times. Took 5x8 enclosed trailer to Florida with no problems and did not need it after arrival at my destination and turned it in on 1/18/21 in Largo , Fl. Employee there took trailer off with no assistance by me. Great !!!!

Ricky E.We drove from a northern suburb of Illinois. We were supposed to pick up a truck in a neighboring Uhaul location. We received notification a day before that we had to drive to another state. That's not acceptable customer service especially when we booked months in advance .

STEVEN R.Google's GPS location is not correct. GPS said I had 1/4 mile to my destination just as I passed a location with U-Haul vehicles in the lot. After t raveling the extra distance just to find it was not the location need, I turned around and went back. You need to get this corrected with Google Maps.

Mark B.I would not recommend as they charged me for the gas gage literally being off by a few centimeters claiming in a large truck those centimeters were equal to gallons of gas. I called to dispute the charge and was told they had nothing to do with it and it was all corporate.After submitting my photos from pick up and drop off and a call to corporate I was able to get a refund for the $24 I was overcharged for gas. I received a call 45 min after corporate addressed my issue with a resolution from the location I rented the truck from saying they were still waiting to hear from there Account Rep. In the future please don't pass blame on overcharges and be prepared to offer a swift / timely resolution.
