I reserved at a different location because I talked to Affordable Auto before and did not feel respected. 24 hours before pick-up I was notified I would be picking up at Affordable Auto instead of the location I requested. The person ony charge is always in a hurry. I gave her almost $700 dollars to rent my equipment and she loudly announced to everyone there, employees and customers that she thought my year and model car was the worst ever made. She can have all the opinions she wants, but she didn't need to embarrass me when I am giving her almost $700.

The clerk was very nice, but the truck windows were dirty, the door seals whistled and the drivers doors leaked rain on my leg while I was driving. Seeing out of those ridiculous side mirrors, that block your forward view more than they show what's next to or behind you, was a chore. They need to Rainx the mirrors. Your also can't really adjust them. The truck is so loud, you can't hear the radio. Not convinced any other location would offer better rentals.

truck was unlocked upon arrival, smelled like a homeless person slept in it, gas was low, truck was all banged up, and i had to dispute every single photo, because the truck given to me was not the one pictured in the photos. the premium equipment in the back had no seals on them, and since i did not want to get charged for.using them, i had to take photos of that also. lastly, i used the app so the transaction can be streamlined, but i still had to wait to speak to someone in person to make sure i got keys.

Due to a change in my plans, I had to reschedule the drop off location for the equipment I rented. I called the location where I was scheduled to drop off the equipment, and they assured me this was fine and quoted me a modest fee for doing so. When I dropped off the equipment at the location they specified and received my bill, I found a large fee for dropping off equipment at the wrong location. I was lied to about changing the drop off location and when I sent a message to the email address provided for questions about my bill, never got a response. These are horrible business practices and I have already instructed everyone I know to avoid this company and am considering further action.

We were so ill prepared for pulling a trailer. The attendant was very helpful and told us what we needed to buy and how to set up the trailer. Thank you very much the whole experience was pretty fast and efficient.

The location was great and everyone was very flexible due to the fact I ended up needing the truck 3 days more than planned. My only complaint is with U-Haul's auto drop-off. I admit I was very tired after 4 days of hard work moving but I wasn't prepared for all the pictures I needed to take! By the time I was done, I ended up locking up the truck with the keys in the on position in the ignition. And no one there to help me as it was almost 7pm so I was forced to leave it that way......

Our door would Not open n close easily, the person didn’t even know how to put the U-Haul trailer on the ball hitch. Did not check my running light or anything ..... I had to suggest checking my break lights and turn signals seems like they didn’t care. Didn’t know my running lights weren’t working till my brother drive behind me and told me.

As for the process and location are ok but the agent misrepresented the fuel status and what I thought was a full tank turned out not to be even close. 10gals of gas for 32 miles total trip. Wow that’s not even close in my mind. And for in town rental of less than three hours and spending $101 I expect that the shop and facilities can be much better.

I usually dread the "entire moving experience" however, I found if you put God out front, He provides the timing, the finances, the equipment, the right people and everything you need to get the job done w/o a hitch. Kristen @ Affordable Auto in Aberdeen was super and stayed on top of everything for my move and check-in! Thank-you.

For future business I would recommend you let customers know about the procedure of ending a reservation if the vehicle is brought back after hours. I was told just drop the keys off in the orange box. Later I received a text and found there is a process to go through to end the reservation. It comes with a $20 charge if you don't do it.

Must be careful, there are hidden fees behind the contract. I rented a 10’ box truck for 8 miles trip in a hour, was charged 4 gal gas fee for $17, plus service fee for $30, plus environmental fee for $1, plus rental taxes...... These fees didn’t show up in the rental contract.

the employee just took the key never checked the truck in while I was there.The result was all messed up. I brought the truck back with 1/2 tank full. I was billed 42 dollars for fuel after I already put 40 dollars worth of gas in it. invoice stated it only had 1/4 of a tank. I would not recommend this location to anyone. also waiting for a refund.

The agent in Aberdeen pick-up location had a very tough situation on her hands because the U-Haul system was down. She persisted and tried multiple times until the computer finally accepted the check out. Thank you so much for the professional help!

We had , affordable calling make deals and uhaul calling at the same time. We paid on line and then got smaller truck and got charged again with out authorizing a payment. With both payments added up does not total what uhaul advertised. Was not charged when returner uhaul. I filed complaint and waiting for a return call.

I am not a complainer, or person who writes bad reviews anywhere, or habitually gives bad feedback but I'm glad I received this email in regard to my UHaul experience. - Pick up was friendly and fast. However, drop off was a nightmare. I was confronted outside after telling the woman at the location, that I would be in to see her after I put a box in my SUV. She said, "did you pay cash when you picked up your rental?" I replied, "yes." She then stated that I should have never done that, as she walked in the building. I finished what I was doing at my vehicle, and went inside the office. She then said again, "ok, so did you pay cash when you picked up your rental?" I said again, "yes".. in a rude tone she said, "well that's a brand new van! You shouldn't have done that! You shouldn't have been able to pay cash and leave with it! We don't take cash for rentals here!" I said, "well the woman that checked me in offered for me to pay cash, after she called UHaul and talked to someone. I then paid cash, finished the process and left." The woman (being extremely rude) said, "well, you shouldn't have done that, you owe me $36.97!" So I said, "can you tell me what that's for?" She then says (still being extremely rude) "did you pay $100 cash?" ** I'm thinking, first of all, I already answered that question more than once.. also, there was $100 I left here when I picked up the rental. Did you not know where that $100 came from the other day? I said (again), "yes I paid $100 cash" she then says, well there's xxx miles and xx tax etc. (being extremely rude and condescending). I had 1 visa card with me at the time and said, "hold on a few minutes and I'll have some cash transferred to this visa, and you can run the payment." She then get's another person in the office who she was rude to as well. That person left. I told her to go ahead and run my visa and gave it to her. She then puts the info in to her computer. Then (without saying anything to me) puts my credit card info in to her phone. I was on the phone with my office at the time, but I watched where my card info was going.. She slammed it on the desk a few times, and turned it over to get the CVV off the back, slamming it down each time she turned it over (being even more rude). She then calls UHaul and tells a woman there that the payment wouldn't work. A gentleman walks in the office with his kids and sits down. She then tells the person who is on speaker phone, my credit card information (more than once) while this other person is sitting there with his kids listening. The payment finally goes through, I take my card and leave. **I'm on standby with the WA Nat Guard for hurricane Dorian approaching FL right now and was on the phone with my unit while this interaction was happening and had to head home quickly to prepare. I work with the public, as well as our corporate partners and corporate clients on a daily basis for my civilian job, overseeing the West Coast, and Western Canada. At no time is i

I couldn't get the drop-off app to work, which I tried a few times. I called UHaul the next day so I could confirm that the trailer had been dropped off and make sure it was marked as such. All went well until I received a bill for an extra $20.00 for a convenience fee for having not used the phone app. No one mentioned this fee, and since they had my credit card number, there it is. Just another kick to the crotch for a trip that ended up costing me about $50.00 more than it should have.

my chosen pickup location was not honored, so I had to go to another location, adding mileage. Truck had trash in the front seating area, and stated fuel level was not what the clerk marked off on rental contract (I drove 36 miles and had to put in 4 gallons of fuel to satisfy reading level Clerk is not friendly. I do not wish to rent from this location!

Showed up at our scheduled pick up time to find the van full of grease, rat poop and maybe strawberry jam spilled inside. The girl working said she had not cleaned it yet. She gave my husband and his friend a broom and mop and allowed them to clean it. When we dropped off the dolly in Eastsound, she had filled out the paperwork wrong and the dolly he was given did not match the ID number written in the contact. By the time they cleaned the van and dealt with the paperwork, we were an hour behind for the day.
