I took a photo of the gas gauge upon starting my trip and it showed the gas level to be on the 3/4 full tank mark. The gentleman there refused to accept that I refilled the tank properly, because their initial contract sheet showed the gas gauge needle was between 3/4 and 7/8 of a tank (which is an absurd measurement considering the car doesn't even have a 7/8 tank mark and the needle covers half the distance between the 3/4 and full tank marks). The contract's gas gauge reading was not true, upon further review with the woman at this location. Furthermore, I drove less than 20 miles and I reset the Average MPG tracker for my trip (showing average MPG as 20mpg) . Therefore, 1 gallon refill was sufficient. All this fuss over a hard-to-read/thick gas gauge needle that was incorrectly recorded from the start. U-Haul needs a less subjective system of visual gas gauge readings if they are going to be so unreasonable when the customer has photographic and calculated evidence of the gas used. The woman working there was much more accommodating and felt the proof I showed of refilling the tank was appropriate (receipt from gas station and photo of gas gauge at start of trip) . Despite her professionalism and kindness, I would never return to this location again. I wasn't trying to nickel and dime them - why else would I go to the gas station and buy gas for the car only to stop the pump short by a fraction of a gallon?!

The truck was originally reserved at U-Hall on US 31 North. We did call to confirm that we needed to change the date and time by 30 minutes. When we arrived, the door was locked and there was a note on the door--call this cell phone number. No one answered even after several calls to the number. Needing the truck then, we went to the U-Hall location on State Street. They were very helpful, had a truck, and there were no problems. .

Completed on line check in but it took over an hour to check in. Was told because I didn’t arrive exactly at 12 pm 2 others were in line before me. No where on the online check in do I remember it saying check in time had to be exact or you would wait an hour! Check in women asked a lot of non relevant personal questions and took excessively long time. I had people waiting to pack and rain came in during this time. Ended up packing in pouring rain. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone trying to get a truck in a timely manner.

Barb is the most personable Uhaul rep that you will ever deal with. I’ve rented from them three times in the past and will always go back. Everything went super smoothly and she even gave me a brand new truck with under 3k miles. That’s a first for me. Great experience 10/10 would recommend.
