I had reservation at 12:30 p.m. for 15'' truck. I arrived at 12:17 p.m. U-haul workers told me that all trucks are busy and my truck was not available!!! They told me to wait till 3 p.m. This was unacceptable!!! I had reservation! I used to rent van + trailer!!! That was TERRIBLY INCONVENIENT!!!! How can I trust you next time?Dmitrii P.

The distance from my home to the location was 21 miles one way. When I got there, the system was down. I picked up a 26 ft truck that has been turned in the night before. Before driving off, I advised the gas cap light was on with message to check the gas cap. I was told it happens and it wouldn't be a problem. I was half way home when the engine light came on. I tried to call and couldn't get an answer. I called a different location, informed of the check engine light and was advised to take the truck back and get another one. This would have been a problem had we drove the truck on to NC and the check engine line came on. I have two other reservations to pick up on 05/24 and I have asked to be able to pick up the rentals from the same place. YoSelina N.

I am going against my claim of not giving a negative review but this cannot be left unsaid. During my FIRST visit to this Uhaul / Acorn Storage location at 5555 N Dixie Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487, I made a reservation 3 days prior, only to have my reserved truck rented out to a customer who walked in seconds before me. I had to switch my initial rental choice to a trailer to accommodate my clients needs for which the reservation was made. I witnessed how overwhelmed, stressed and confused the staff was that I felt compelled to get the entire location ice cream sandwiches and express to them that although MY customers would suffer from THIS locations mistakes I realized things happen and was sure it was a one time occurrence. HOW WRONG I COULD BE!!!! The second and FINAL time at this Uhaul I arrived 30 minutes BEFORE opening to be sure the previous experience was not duplicated as I had a early customer to move their business equipment although I made a reservation. Assuming (my mistake) my information was still on file, when I was ready to sign my contract, I was asked for my driver's license. I had to go to my car to grab it, and as I was walk outside, another client walked in. Upon returning, I was told to wait until the people who JUST walked in, finished with their process. Feeling extremely irritated and displaying obvious anger, I was heard by the staff while waiting outside how traveling the country and frequently using Uhaul in general as my choice for rental equipment and storage this was the absolute worst location in the entire country. I was told that my business was not needed and that I would not be able to have the reservation I was minutes away from fulfilling because I apparently hurt their feelings. It went as far one of the staff taking my belongings and placing them outside so as they could accommodate yet someone else. There is a an expected amount of professionalism and customer service, yet I would be the first to say "The customer is NOT always right"!!. This location has compelled me to say; "The only thing Uhaul is good for is in the event you have a bathroom emergency to hide behind a Uhaul truck". Ryder, Budget and Enterprise are clear cut customer oriented business to give your hard earned money to. I'll be posting this EVERYWHERE. That's how upset and belittled Uhaul / Acorn Storage made me feel. Good riddance.Reynaldo L.
Person behind desk was rude and when guy was hooking up trailer he yelled at him why are you taking so long you should have been done and he put chain on front and it fell off , never checked lights on trailer and whrn I was at a rest area I was told that the signal was not working, , I found the broke wire and fixed it , this is the second timeHal N.

The only thing good about U-Haul is the workers are nice. I had a reservation at one location then had to drive 20 minutes away to go to a different location because they just didn't have any of the trucks back yet?? Then the second place I went to didn't give me the dolly I ordered so I could move my furniture so I have to rent another U-Haul tomorrow and have a friend help me with the furniture. All in all I spent way more time driving between the pickup place my home and my storage unit having to drive to this location and on top of it I didn't get the one thing I needed to help me move all my stuff out. Again very good workers but still a bad experience.Clayton L.

Well my experience at this location was terrible I had been looking for a U-Hual for that day and I saw that location I didn't been aware of the app to book a reservation I went inside to see if they had any U-Haul s available and the Hispanic guy with tattoos was very rude he said â€œyou have a reservationâ€ I said â€œno I do notâ€ he then said â€œwe don't have any trucks availableâ€ I then asked him I said â€œyou sure you don't have any trucks available?â€ He then said â€œlike I said we don't have any trucks availableâ€ i then look on the uhual website and booked one came back in literally after 10 minutes of talking to him and got the truck the only helpful one was the black guy the big one who was the only nice and helpful one the other guy was so rude and I know customers had that same problem with him that this location they need more order because all he had to say was sir u have to book on the website or say we have trucks available but you have to book on the website instead of being so rude I felt like just leaving only because I really needed the U-Hual. Uhaul changed the pickup location and only notified me by email, not by phone text. I only learned about the new location 18 miles away from original requested location the morning of the rental. Don't make customers drive 18 miles to a different location and do notify them by text as well as email.Stephen J.

The Van was completely INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES!!! I had Fine Art and Furniture inside the Van and found the whole van infested with cockroaches, the cabin and truck, under the carpet, inside the glove compartment, everywhere!!! That's not only disgusting, but now this PLAGUE CAN SPREAD IN MY PREMISES. And I'm quite sure no measures will be taken by U-Haul.Ahir C.

I have been to this uhaul location 3 times over the last week or so. The first 2 visits were almost too perfect. Good equipment. Everything went as planned. Friendly staff. The last visit things went not so smooth. It was busier than normal. The equipment I reserved was not available. I ordered a pickup truck and trailer with ramp. I was told that I needed to have my own hitch because customers stole all the hitches from the pick up trucks. When I said I don't have a hitch and that's why I ordred a pick up truck and a trailer from uhaul, i was told I was out of luck. After a few minutes of me trying to figure out what was going on and why my reservation, the staff finally said they could swap me out for a 10' truck since those have hitches. I am not sure why that option wasn't presented to me 5 minutes eariler before I started to panic. The person helping me then disappeared and started to clean out a pick up truck in plain sight from the office. Then about 10 minutes later he came in and said they found a hitch. He said he saw how important the move was to me and they magically found a hitch. I didn't know how to take that comment as it felt if i did not complain, they were saving this hitch for a different customer. Then another 20 minutes went by and the truck was finally brought up front. I receive a truck with less than 1/8th of a tank of gas. I actually want to give a below average review for the excessive wait, lack up equipment as per my reservation, the cold response from the staff and then what seemed like i was being ignored, being given equipment with a gas tank almost on reserve and then I even received a confused phone call later in the day asking why i w ould be returning the equipment even though I had given the keys and truck back to the staff eariler in the day, but since they eventually found the hitch and then the staff did stay calm during the ordeal, i will give them an above average rating. It wasn't there fault, however the location was not prepared this time.Craig G.

I had business files stored there for over 15 years. Never had any type of moisture problems or anything else.
