Owner of Ace hardware (Uhaul authorized dealer) was confused and aggressive about completing pickup all while brandishing a firearm. I was given a filthy pickup I took and left considering the time I had already wasted with these confused people. Upon returning 4 hours later I was told to just leave it parked outside and they would check in later. I'm paying for miles I needed the rental completed before I left, the young lady got very upset and called for someone to help her. A middle aged employee showed up asking me why I need a pickup, I explained i was returning a truck he asked me 3 times in a row why and when I needed the truck? I said I needed to return a pickup and why is this so difficult? The young lady stated I was being charged 25 dollars for a dirty truck and questioned me why I was taking pictures of the truck. At this point I asked both employees what the hell is going on? I stated I was given a dirty truck for 6 hours, drive 24 miles to move a piece of furniture and harrassed picking up and dropping off the truck and I refused to pay the cleaning fee. The employee began arguing with me, I stated you don't treat me this way, finish my rental agreement so I may leave, this is not normal! The owner seemed very odd and scary. When I first walked in the store the owner displayed no firearms, when I was checking out he had a firearm in a quick draw front holster in a clear brandishing fashion while being intimidating. I know uhaul is a quality company that works with all kinds, so I will understand and avoid this dysfunctional business for hardware supplies or uhaul rental. I will follow up with uhaul corporate due to the fact of the owners aggressive behavior with a customer while in possession of a firearm is just not cool. Avoid this location unless you want trouble!William H.

That was the loudest truck I've ever driven. It sounded like it was going to explode in the lower gears! I've driven a lot of those moving vans and this one I couldn't even hear myself yelling to my friend in the truck. Whenever at a stop, the cab would fill with exhaust to the point I almost vomited it made me so sick. I will NEVER rent a uhaul again. I'll try Penske and budget first.JARED W.

How much time do you have? The lady was nice but she didn't know what she was doing so they ended up overcharging my card that's the first error next situation is I've already called and talk to someone in your roadside assistance and your customer service department regarding the truck that it was dirty it was dented it was damage it was beat down it barely ran a seat at work and I had to make matters worse after I got a truck full of my home that I was moving it's had the power steering go out so I had to muscle it and drive without power steering that big of a truck full of my stuff. And to make matters worse when I dropped off the truck I was explaining to the guy who was really nice and really truthful he said that truck always breaks down and always has problems and everything is always wrong with that truck . I'd like to know why U-Haul is still renting out the truck if you guys obviously know there's a problem with it. And lastly I forgot to mention that the gas was wrong so I had to spend an extra $10 in gas because the gas was wrong and there's no way to fix the contract or at least the grill didn't know how to do it.Darryl G.
When we called to schedule the vehicle, we were told we could drop it off at a different location and it would be considered in town rates. When we went to pickup the vehicle were told we'd have to pay out of town fees because we were going to drop.it off at a different location. This caused a lot of frustration and lost time as it took almost an hour to get this resolved. Overall I was unsatisfied with this experience.MICHAEL G.

ORDERED 1 TRUCK, 1 APPLIANCE DOLLY, 1 UTILITY DOLLY, AND10 MOVING BLANKETS. DID NOT RECIEVE MOVING BLANKETS, AND HAD TO TAKE TIME OUT OF WHAT I HAD TO DO TO RETURN TO LOCATION TO P/U UTILITY DOLLY. SPOKE WITH REGIONAL MANAGER, FELIX PENA, AND HEGAVE ME HIS PHONE NUMBER SO WHEN I RETURNED EQUIPMENT, HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE CHARGES FOR WHAT I DID NOT RECIEVE. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN, AS HE DID NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE. THEREFORE, I AM BEING CHARGED FOR ITEMS I DID NOT RECIEVE. ALSO, IM BEING CHARGED $40 EXTRA FOR REASONS UNKNOWN. ORIG. PRICING WAS APPROX. $121. My original reservation for a truck was with the U-Haul location 16226 N 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85032. They were fabulous, helpful, I would recommend this location to anyone. The overall experience was very good and I would use U-Haul again. My reserved truck was not returned and they worked hard to find me a truck at the Camelback RD location.JOHN O.

Truck was dirty on the exterior, no one walked me out to the truck to do a walk around or make sure everything was ok before I left. Also I opted for a 24/7 pick up and this location did not provide that.Steven P.

Improve the online check in process. The webpage repeatedly gave an error message about turning on my location and it was on. I turned it off and on several times and even rebooted my phone trying to check in my return. I ended up leaving and then getting charged the $20 in person check in fee. Will not be using the online reservation again and won't recommend.KARLI C.

When we went to drop off the truck, the system was down, the staff didn't read notes input by others and I had to call and get them to keep.trying to process the return. 3 days later, we were unnecessarily charged $200 in late fees even though we turned the truck in only 9 hours after renting it!!! I'm still waiting for my refund!Ryan O.
The A/C in the truck didn't work. Moving in temperatures over 100 degrees outside it would've been nice to drive in a cool truck.Brianna C.
The truck was DIRTY. IN this environment, clean the cab seat and use disposable steering wheel covers. Really dirty, I wiped for me but I wouldn't recommend this for my family. ALWAYS before keys are surrendered. Safety over time. Customer over dollar ðŸ¤"Simone C.

The reservation associate doesn't have knowledge of the trucks capacity...reserved me one that caused to make a double effort, time, trip and gas usage. As well the last two associates I spoke to...said I wasn't going to be charged extra if returned the unit by 6pm 8-10-20...the manager at ACE Hardware was rude and told her coworker to tell me that they don't take drop offs...I was there because two of the UHaul associates told me to do so. Awful experience on both associates at ACE Hardware and UHAUL. So dissatisfied.ANNIE R.

Needed a van to deliver a new mattress. Employee who initially helped me was great; however, after getting in the van we got a low tire pressure light and the tire was indeed low. Went back inside and the next employee said that I would have to drive down the street and fill it up myself. He then told me that he didn't know how to switch out the vans so I could take the other one and I would have to wait for the other employee to get back from lunch. He finally called Uhaul directly and they told him how to switch my information to the other van. The van was dirty and smelled like smoke. When I returned the van, a third employee had no idea how to check the vehicle back in and I had to wait for another employee to take care of it.DAJANA ELLA G.

This location was not following protocol for the 24/7 truck share. They were not using the word locks and the keys to the trucks were hanging behind the cash register inside. I had to wait an hour for the store to open in order to get the key for the truck. They also did not include the dolly I had requested.Stephanie V.
