Notification that the truck wasn't available despite my reservation was very unacceptable & unprofessional. Mike was accommodating but to get $100 & 100 miles off was pretty minimal considering I had to drive an extra 130 miles just to go pick it up & the time lost to do this.KEVIN S.
The person (girl) taking care of me was RUDE, indifferent, and acted like she was doing me a favor by being there. Smell was somewhat off putting. It didn't seem to be cigarettes. The hanging deodorizer was visually startling a few times. I thought it was a bird once and a possible pedestrian once. I didn't have to slam on breaks but I tensed and prepared. I think it was possibly due to the deodorizer being a very dark color. A lighter color would blend in more. I thought the man checking me in at pick up was very efficient and professional.Rene V.

I did receive the equipment on time as expected and was helped promptly but unfortunately she did not give us any instructions on un-hitching the trailer and the jack was not left with us. Because it was a holiday weekend when the trailer was returned, nobody was available to U Store to assist. We could not get the ball loose and hurt our backs. We had to call a friend to drive one hour to help get it off. I believe this all could have been avoided if the customer Rep in Traverse City had provided a hitch. Disappointed by the cost of extra days above the allocation, caused me to have to split my trip into 2 segments with 2 extra visits to UHaul. Should be more flexibility in adding insurance to days driving, and not for days where I am idling the trailer.Jeff W.

Give them a few extra miles. The gave me just enough to go from their store to my address. so I ended up paying more for miles. Plus tell them whole price. I was told 128.00 on the phone and when I got there the price was 144.00 with all the added fees.Mark S.

Our local Ace Hardware U Haul desk does a fabulous job! Very knowledgeable folks. I have rented there several times. The online app however is horrible. In trying to upload photos (required), I took a photo, hit Submit and got a message saying, â€œyou must submit at least one photoâ€. (Literally could see the photo in the attachment window!) Tried several times to no avail so I quit trying. We were in a hurry to pick up items and return truck. Then, in trying to return the truck, the same thing happened with trying to choose return location. App asked me to share my location and it gave an error and instructions to share my location through iOS. Location setting was ON but it still wouldn't choose a location. There was no way to get past that screen. I'll be calling the office when they open to dispute the $20 fee for not checking the truck back in. VERY FRUSTRATING.Elizabeth B.

We returned the trailer 2 hours late and we're told initially that if we were late it would be an extra $20, which we agreed to. Ended up being charged a whole 2nd day and duplicate insurance that I had purchased to!!!! Why would I need an additional day of insurance after returning it and why would I be charged a whole 2nd day when I was told it would be $20!!!!???????? Poor customer service!!!Steven J.

The service was great and very easy to get the van I rented. The van was very dirty on the outside and the inside was fairly dirty as well. I power washed it on the way home, wiped down the dash & cleaned the inside of the filthy windshield. It also wreaked of BO or puke but was much better after I sprayed it with Odoban. Other than that, the van ran well & worked fine for us.Douglas B.

I found my overall experience at the U-Haul rental agency excellent. The people were courteous and professional. I would recommend this site to my friends. I can't find any areas that need improvement at this time.Eric W.
I reported the dash did not light up at night. Other than that the truck was great. I'm very disappointed that after I returned the truck on your app after hours the itemized receipt is no longer available to me. This is a serious sleight of hand in my opinion. I okayed the charges at the time although I drove less than the estimated miles and the bill was $50 higher than the estimate at the time of pickup. Tactics like this may influence my choice of rental equipment in the future.JOHN D.

Poor customer service, they have too many coming in for u haul service and not enough staff. Many technical issues like slow computers and non functioning tablets. Staff is frustrated and overwhelmed. I've been in many times and have had issues frequently. At my last drop off a uhaul employee was there, and also was unhelpful and chastised me for going thru the self check in process and unhooking the trailer.Benjamin K.
My keys didn't fit in the drop box. They got stuck as I tried to put them in. The lady at the counter had instructed me to put them there. When they got stuck, I went in and told her. She rolled her eyes, sighed, and rubbed her temples. She then walked away and ignored me, as I stood there trying to figure out what I was supposed to do. I decided to walk outside and try to retrieve the keys on my own. I was able to get them loose, and took them back inside. I am very displeased with the customer service I receive at this particular location. I have never had a bad Uhaul experience prior to this one.Samantha R.

Lied to over and over!! This used to be a great location until Dave left. Now the Customer services stinks and the Trucks are not cleaned. Asked for a decent truck with good mileage and told we where not allowed a decent truck. We will no Longer be ordering from Uhaul. And will definitely tell all our customers to not order through them as well. You have lost over 3000 dollars worth of Rentals if not more!! Have a nice day.Jonathan M.

Customer service on the phone and online for returning the uhaul. After moving for over 8 hours for two days straight I had to spend over 45 minutes on the phone trying to get support for checking in the uhaul. No one was answering and was on hold for 43 minutes. The online chat disconnected from me and I had no answers. Somehow I switched over to chrome to access the ensure and drop off information. By this time I had dropped off the keys a s luckily had access to the back bed to take picture and had already obtained a picture of the odometer because I want to make sure no one over charged me for mileage. The long process took over 1.15 and after being so tired from moving I didn't have time or the energy to deal with this. Since no one ever answered the Uhaul number where I was on hold for and the online chat was dropped I can only say I was highly upset, tired, and frustrated with the experience. I did a late check in and tried to log in to uhaul.com/share to check-in. When I tried to "return equipment" the site never sent me to a page that I could do that. I tried thru my account and in cognito and never was successful. I not only wasted a lot of time but I was also charged $20 not not being able to do so. First of all, I don't understand that charge to begin with as the equipment would be checked in by the staff if I had arrived earlier, and if you are requiring this check-in, make your site useable.Michael M.
