When I went to pick up, they were not opened and when They got there I was told I possibly wouldn't be able to get a truck, I should have gotten a call from u haul to go elsewhere. They gave me a return. I was 3 hours late to return, I got a call from them saying they wanted to call before they reported the truck stolen, that was completely an unnecessary statement to say to a customer, especially someone who answers the phone,Denise G.

The truck was very dirty. The previous renter used the truck to haul items damaged from a flood. The back of the truck was filled with mud. The U-Haul employee just hit it with a broom quickly leaving a nice layer of dry dirt dust all inside the truck for me to move my furniture in. The front of the truck was also muddy with cigarette ashes in the cup holders. An overall unacceptable level of filth.SAMUEL P.
The same day when I pick up the truck I drop off the truck at the location Before I returned the truck I went to the gas station and I fell up the gas the same way they give it to me The next day I receive a statement for $59.40 for gas That location need to be reported that's a fraud They didn't even call me or try to contact me they just bill me with the amount of money Without my authorization I am very upset and mad about that that shouldn't happen like thatIyad S.

Overall, truck was ready to go and pickup/drop off was quick. Employee was late opening the store though so we were 20-30 minutes behind schedule.MICHAEL H.
Uhaul should have more moving trucks available and not put in the fine print that it will change the customer pickup location depending on availability. That is very sneaky!MOHAMMED S.
I feel conflicted about how to review this experience. There was really nothing wrong with the equipment but I drove a total of 18 miles and got charged an additional $45 on top of the $20 rental fee. $10 in taxes and $36 for mileage. $36!!?!? For 18 miles?!?!!! That's double!!! Double the normal price. Ridiculous!!! It was 100 degrees out the day I rented that vehicle and almost just as hot when I returned it. This was my first rental and it could not have been easier. Very clean and neat office and the van was near to new. My husband drove it and found it easy to handle. we are contemplating renting with this office again in the near future.DORIS C.

I had an issue with the reservation. I called to change the pickup time to 8:00 am which was before they opened. I had signed up for mobile pick up. They said they changed it but it was not changed. I called when I got there and they were unable to help me. I called U-Haul and they helped. I also had an issue with uploading the necessary pictures to the U-Haul website. I had to try several times. At the end I received a notification that my Information was under review. This took some more time and eventually it went through. In the end I was late to where I had to be as I first got in the truck around 8:45. Not a good experience.Jay L.
The tires on the vehicle they rented were nearly bald. While the process was excellent the vehicle itself in my opinion needed some maintenance.Guy P.

It was obvious that the employees we dealt with, although courteous and attentive, were not in the least familiar with the truck we rented beyond the standard checking for dents and dings, mileage and a full gas tank. I drove the truck approximately 175 miles and was forced to deal with a number of defective items: 1) The truck was not standard with power windows, so it was necessary to crank the window up and down, which alone was not a big deal except that I was forced to constantly roll the window open and closed due to the fact that the driver's side mirror was loose and kept moving so that I could not properly see cars on my left side. Each time I rolled the window up and down to adjust the mirror, I had to hold on to the steering wheel with my right hand while reaching out with my left to make the adjustment and taking my eyes off the road ahead. It was an unsettling drive on busy New Jersey roads. Added to this fiasco was the fact that the knob on the window crank handle kept coming off making it nearly impossible to easily roll the window up and down. I paid nearly $500 to rent this truck and I can assure you that someone with less driving experience could have easily been in an accident.Robyn P.

PICKING UP THE TRAILER WAS GREAT.THEY HOOKED UP THE TRAILER. WE CAN NOT BACK UP THE TRAILER AND ASKED THE MAN TO DO IT. HE SAID NO. MY WIFE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME TRYING TO DO IT. THE MAN SAID IT WAS NOT GOOD AND HAS TO BE INSIDE THE LINES. AFTER A LONG TIME A MAN WALKING BY ASKED IF COULD HELP. HE PARKED THE TRAILER.Dorothy M.

My reservation was unavailable upon arrival. in fact The location I was sent to doesn't even rent trailers. Then after being bounced to 3 different u haul locations I was unable to rent any enclosed or even open trailer whatsoever even though I had called before I left Long Island to go to New Jersey to pick up my equipment. I opted to take the $50 guarantee and still had no trailer and was forced to rent a tell gate cooler trailer and put my items in the back of my pickup completely exposed to the elements. Once over the bridge and to New York stuck in traffic in a major rainstorm that Damaged all of my equipment. I could not pull over by a tarp or anything The cover my items because of the traffic. I was very upset because I did call To make sure I would have one there when I was directed to the 1st you haul facility. And you know what happened after that bounce bounce bounce nothing but a waste of time and my woodworking equipment soaked. I write you holes all the time either through my business or my personal use. I would not have going on my trip if I had not guaranteed I would have an enclosed trailer prior. I'm more disappointed in your call center many associates that tried to help me because it was out of their control. They were rather helpful and did what they could and offered to read me a truck but I can't drive 2 cars home. Thank you for hearing my venting but very disappointedMichael W.
