Elliott RI booked my reservation over a month in advance and had my truck changed 2 times, once on the actual date of my move. It seems irresponsible for not following up with the original "guarantee" that I thought I had reserved.
Rebekah LAfter hours pickup and drop off was seamless. Equipment was also clean and in good shape.
MOSHOOD GBooked a 15ft. truck 3 weeks in advance of move. When I arrived, there were no trucks available. Sent to a different location that did not have staff on site. It took me an hour to get the key out of the lockbox. In the meantime, the two movers that I had booked had already arrived at the moving location and had to wait for me. I also did hot have time to go back to the original Uhaul location to pickup the 12 moving blankets that I had ordered. Personally, I think the employees at the original location should have retrieved the other truck for me. Needless to say, it was a difficult start to the moving day. Fortunately, the two movers that I booked to help from Heavenly Movers did an excellent job.

estrella aOverall, I had an "OK" experience, I really didn't appreciate the hoops required to jump through to pick up a vehicle remotely… My credit card information was already on file, every single one that I took were rejected at first, I had to take a front and back photo of my drivers license, then i was asked to surrender one of four additional items: a contact that's either friend or family, OF WHOM YOU CALL? if those contacts don't pick up and I have to provide more contacts and so on and so forth. A copy of my rental lease agreement which no one carries on their person, a passport, which I do not have, and I don't assume people bring with them when they go moving and one other item that I can't remember at this time. It's not the most user friendly system. And whatever happened to being able to pick up a U-Haul from whatever location and drop it off at whatever location? Why did I have to rent a van and put over 300 miles on it instead of just going to San Diego renting a van and driving it up here with my stuff? I don't know when that policy changed, but you need to bring that back because this "vehicle needs to be returned from whatever location it is picked up from" garbage needs to stop. I will not be using U-Haul in the future.

Herb GSome of the instructions were not accurate. During the check in process I was asked for my passport which then somehow was bypassed and I was able to complete the check-in process. The key location was mentioned on the rear side of the truck but it was in a lockbox at the store door.

We were running late, family emergency, and received a phone call from a staff person asking if we were still interested in the rental. We will keep this venue in mind for future rentals.

Michael KI wasn't able to get the key return process working with my phone when I returned my key after hours-after this location so generously accommodated my urgent needs. Probably user error! Hopefully I don't get charged extra, but the customer service was supreme!, so I don't expect any issues.

Clyde MI rented an in town pick up in Santa Paula but when I got there, they did not have the rental available. I was not notified until I arrived. When they found another available truck of the same size I rented it was an in town rental in Camarillo. Camarillo is 20 miles away and after I picked up the rental I had to return it there. This increased my cost in both miles and gas for both the rental and my personal vehicle. It was a very frustrating expensive, and stressful experience.

John AFirst, I drove around the block 3 times because there are no Uhaul signs. My 20 ft truck was dirty..mostly the windows to indicate that it had not been cleaned. THEN, I get home and start loading the truck and realize that the Air Conditioner was not only NOT working, it was consitently blowing warm air and my trip had me driving in 90-100 degree weather. Incredible because I was not stuck...the ONLY option I had was to call Roadside Assistance and just could not get through. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Then, I needed to rent a trailer and was told the only trailer available in my location was 30 minutes away. That was Not true because we went on line and reserved one 10 minutes from my home. I am completely annoyed as I had to drive 10 hours in hot weather with the windows down so that we would not roast. I would like a response from someone about this.
Gary VI was disappointed the size trailer I reserved was not available anymore and I had to go to a size smaller. I wasn't able to fit all of my items for moving and now I have to rent another trailer and do the 3.5 hour drive again. I don't understand how a reserved trailer is no longer available two days before pick up. I now have to pay for the gas and rent another trailer to finish my move. Very disappointed in that.
