The cab had not been cleaned or sanitized for COVID. At the very least cleaning wipes should have been provided. Additionally my credit card charge does not match my usage.

Un-safe, doesn't care about customers. I called U-Haul Customer Service and was promised a callback from the Area Manager but never got one. Clearly U-Haul does not care any more than this location does. *** I have had over 15 other U-Haul rentals in the past 3 years with only 1 small hick-up and no complaints.

Although I called them and told them when I was returning the truck, which was before noon on a weekday and during normal business hours, the place was locked with no sign on the door saying when they would be back. I waited for 15 min. No one arrived. So I threw the keys in the drop box and left. My concern was no one was there to confirm I returned the truck with the two dozen blankets folded and swept out, and no damage. And I haven't received a final receipt via email.

Be organized. Greet people at the door. Do not have a be right back sign in ten minutes. And always over promise and under delivery because I was promised a refund and didn't receive it. Your company is the worst in following up with their word

Make sure that when someone books a truck more than a month in advance that the truck is in the area where it was booked. Not send them to a location more than an hour away only to find out that it was at a different location and then try to book it out when the person that reserved the truck was on the way to get it. And calling head office was no help!!! Worst experience renting a truck ever!!!

When I picked up the truck, it had 41 miles to empty on the gas gauge. I was in a hurry and didn't plan for a stop at a gas station. I also didn't know how much gas I would use, so, since I returned it with well more than when I started, I ended up overpaying for gas.

Quote given online for 9ft cargo van was for $19. After picking up vehicle I checked my email for paperwork and the bill said $89. 6 hours later I dropped the vehicle off and wanted to talk to someone about the price, but the only person there was on the phone and I was in a hurry. I should have waited and talked to him though, because checking my email 2 days later I found 3 different bills, with 3 different amounts(ranging from $119 to $155) all sent my way for the same rental. Clearly their pricing is deceptive, and it seems like they're completely unorganized. I will look to other companies when I need to rent in the future.

We went to this location to pick up our 26ft truck, which we reserved the day before online. Set the booking time for 8am as that was when the business opened. When we got there at 8, there was no one there. The guy finally showed up 15-20 minutes late. Even though he was late, he did not seem to care and slowly proceeded to open the business, and eventually got to us. He did not seem to even be aware that there was a reservation for that morning. He was confusing, hard to understand, not very good with customers, and seemed impaired(and by that I mean hangover/drugs/something). He did not explain how to verify/dispute if the mileage or fuel was not as the contract stated or even tell us what they were. He emailed the rental agreement to me with the info, but I was unable to access from my phone. When I got home, I looked at it and the fuel was 1/8 tank more than what was actually in it. I called to tell him, and he said he would correct it. When I returned the truck, it had not been corrected at all. Good thing I took pictures of the dash when we picked up and again when we dropped off. The place I returned it helped me with the issue and made the correction. I will never, ever go to this location again, nor will I ever refer anyone to it. And being that we require Uhaul trucks and services for business purposes to haul large items that we cannot fit in our own trailers, I would not consider this place ever again to bring my business. this location should be avoided and not represent Uhaul anymore. Give the contract to someone who cares about customers.

Lights were not working on trailer. We misunderstood the fact that we had to return trailer to same location as we picked it up. Upon realizing this we attempted to return it the following day, but they they closed at 1pm and we were told we could not return it with no one present. Returned it the next day, was told someone would be there, no one was, but it was ok to leave it there. Why was it ok that day, but not the day before? Poor practice, customer service was terrible, no one was helpful or accommodating, or understanding of our admitted mistake. We will not be returning nor will be recommend this location to any one.

the drop off app process did not allow to upload pictures - I already locked the truck and drop keys off in drop box. When I started to use the app the photo had to be live vs. saved photos. Opportunity to improve client experience - I hope that I am not charged the $20 for convenience fee to check truck

This location was fine to deal with HOWEVER the one on Dunlop st is terrible. Very rude and employees very uncaring with our frustration. Had 2 rented and had to run all over town to find one as they were scattered. Finally got 1 of 2 we had requested. The second we couldn't get till 2 pm which was no help at all plus after all our frustration with employees they said they wouldn't rent to us at 2 pm Ended up Penske trucking for our move. Will never rent from U-Haul again

My only complaint with this location is although the process went smooth for the most part the representative did help a gentleman who arrived after us before us. It appeared they knew each other or maybe he was a mover who was there often. We were working on a strict timeline so this was irritating. We never mentioned it to him or complained at all but my husband and I were frustrated.

Truck was at 1/4 tank and not at correct mileage upon pick up, had to lay tarps down as back was coated in grease, Spoke with. Representative inside and he said he would make the changes to the documents before drop off. Half way down to Brockville and the hydraulic braking system began to pick and choose when the truck had brakes. Truck is unfit for the road until repairs are made will not recommend pick up location ever

Submitted the online check-in feature, about 15 mins later, on my way to the pick up a man called, did not speak clearly, did not say "This is _____ from U-haul". Sounded short said is this "Chris you picking up the trailer, I did not understand him right away, and asked who this was. When I arrived, he took information did not tell me where the trailer was until I asked and he said, its the big one. No customer service skills at all, no Covid-19 precautions on site. The building was also labeled wrong on the sign, U-haul in the window that wasn't visible right away.

Instructions were not clear. The truck had completely worn out windshield wipers. Had to pull off the road because I could not see in a downpour. I haul rep told me to drop the keys in the box when done and once they were in the box I saw that I needed to get back in the truck to take photos. That should have been explained at pickup.

Your vehicule should be clean between clients and specialy with the covid-19 going around it is simply dangerous and unresponsable to rent a dirty vehicule not sanityze at least. I'm stun by the lack of knowlage and respect you guy's have toward your clients.

We were moving household items and boxes and we had to spend approximately 15 minutes washing and drying the floor prior to putting anything in the trailer. I've rented from this location multiple times in the past and this is the first time that it was not satisfactory clean.

I rented a trailer. There were lights on the trailer that didn't work. One of the tires on the trailer didn't hold air. I had to keep blowing it all day as I was using it. Trailer is not maintained.

The vehicle wasn't as clean as we had previously received. The windshield was very streaky causing a dangerous situation when driving I to sun tight The interior wAs in need of clean - floors/seat/rear (box) Not our typical experience with this location. We were disappointed this time but would happily provide them with another opportunity to use their services.

Dennis Tarsey owner of Utopia UHAUL always provides excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Utopia UHAUL before any other locations within the Simcoe County Region to friends & family. We booked a trailer online but when we went to pick it up at another location in Barrie, no one showed up to open the door, so we made a call to U-Haul. This set us back about 45 minutes. U-Haul did a great job of contacting the District Manager, Traffic person, found another trailer and sent us to the Commerce Drive location to pick it up. This location and service was awesome. The gentleman had us out the door and hooked up within minutes. We were able to make our destination and return in time for the rest of day to go as planned. I would definitely recommend the Commerce Drive location to others and I will continue to use U-Haul for my towing needs. Thank you U-Haul for your customer service. You stepped up and made things happen for us.

It wont accept the photos, and with tje happy not here, it took me an hour to work out how to return the vehicle, and got charged an extra $10 for that and the fact that the petrol was recorded wrong upon pickup, it was actually half full, not 5/8ths which is how I returned it. We eventually managed to use the website to return it, that did work.

The Ice was not cleared off the windshield when picked up and there was no scrapper in the Vehicle. I spent 10 mins and probable $10 extra in gas warming the vehicle enough to melt the ice.

The location is not advertised as a Able Barrie Moving. You will notice the Uhaul trucks and 1 trail or, however it is located in a coffee shop. Once we got in I was told I had to put down a $60 deposit which was never mentioned before and I ordered the tailor on the Uhaul website. To add, I could not return the trailer to any Uhaul location, making my move difficult. Luckily my friend was the driver and he returned to Barrie from Toronto to drop off the trailer. I was told on Saturday by the Uhaul worker at the shop, I can come by tomorrow (Sunday Feb 16) to get the deposit back (roughly $25). When my friend who drove the trailer went in, the shop was not open even tho it was suppose to be until 12pm today. I expect that I will be receiving my deposit back and if not by Tuesday, I will be contacting Uhaul customer service. This should have never happened.

We arrived to find the business closed, even though business hours were posted online. We were instructed to call head office and they flatly refused to acknowledge the business should be open, that we had booked a specific pickup time and generally were overall unhelpful. When the business finally opened 45 mins after our scheduled pickup time, the owner did not have the proper info regarding the amount of fuel in the rental van and when we went out to the vehicle, no inspection was conducted by employees prior to our taking the vehicle. They also did not clear the snow off the vehicle and we were made to do that as well. Greatly unsatisfied with our entire experience at this location. Will not visit again.

the trailer didnt have working lights so we had to fix them twice actually. i dropped the trailer off at a different locstion in the same city that was a 15 minute drive and they charged me over $200, ridiculous what didn't sense is the clerk at the uhaul didnt tell our driver that is supposed to go to a different location i am thoroughly disappointed and will try not to ever use uhaul again

The app did not work to return our vehicle — the mileage from the previous person has not been logged into the computer — it tried to charge us too much so it wouldn't let us return the vehicle. Had to call customer support — but there was nothing they could do on their end other than make notes (and we were told that no one ever reads these notes) Plus the vehicle we rented (a cube van) was not available when we arrived. We were given a coveted truck) Overall bad experience with U-Haul and will not use them again

Guy at counter was not very helpful with hook up, we asked for help he never came out. Hitch and wiring was buried in snow we had to use a lighter to get it un-thawed, we tried to turn hitch knob to tighten it would not tighten asked for help he simply said bang it with a hammer, who has a hammer in their car.

My complaint is not with this location but with the location on Bradford St., Barrie. I made my reservation planning on using the 24/7 option for checking in and getting my keys. When I arrived at the Bradford St. location, the office was closed and I wasn't able to use the 24/7 option. I called customer service and they said the manager forgot to leave the key. They offered me a truck from another location across town, it was bigger and therefore more expensive. She said they would honour the price of the smaller truck I actually reserved. I didn't want to drive across town at this point but I didnt' really have any other choice. I drive to the Commerce Park location and was able to access the 24/7 check in. I got to the point where it told me to get the key, which it stated was in a box in the back of the truck. I open up the back of the truck and there is no box and no key. Again, I call customer service and am told that again, the manager didn't leave the key. He will come and get it to me though. Half an hour later and I am on the road with my truck. I had no issues with the vehicle once I finally got one but trying to get it was a bit of a nightmare. When I returned the vehicle I tried to do so using the 24/7 option once again. The GPS found me, got the fuel tank level input and then was asked to take pics of the inside cab, inside the back box. No problem...took the inside cab but then the app wouldn't allow me to take any additional photos. It wasn't the camera on my phone cause I could take pics using my camera app, I just couldn't take pics through the U-Haul application. After being on hold with customer service for 30 minutes without getting any help I just dropped the keys in the drop box on the building and left. Long story short, I would not use the 24/7 option again and wouldn't recommend anyone else using it either. Stick to the old fashion way, walk into the office during business hours if at all possible
