This digital pick up process was the absolute worst experience The location had poor internet connection. The truck could not be unlocked. The entire experience was bad with the exception of the moving helpers. U-Haul get your act together.Mary B.
The person that helped us was very nice. But for a person with an assistant manager name tag, she knew very little. We were a walk in and she didn't seem to know how to rent us a vehicle. We wanted a 1 way and she didn't plan that, so we ended up having to return is much later than planned and had to pay extra mileage and gas. The windshield wipers didn't work, need replaced, and the transmission, is sluggish in first gear.Andrea G.

I though it was kind of different and not necessarily should be placed on to the customer to have to complete the check out and check in of the vehicle when there is a clerk present and open. If it was closed then I understand but when I picked up the truck I had to complete the whole process myself as well as the check in while the attendant sat in the office on the computer. The truck was clean but it was kind of hard to drive due to the steering wheel having to turn the whole time to keep the truck straight. It seemed like the wheel was not lined up with the front.Travis M.

Poor customer service at the location. Was lied to By the â€œmanagerâ€, and extra unauthorized charges were added to my rental and charged to my credit card without my authorization. The rental was filthy and my furniture did not fit inside even though the manager advised it would fit. I will not be using uhaul again. Pensky and budget both are honest and do not steal from their customers.Daniel G.

The lady was friendly but i was charged twice and when i called to ask why i was told i would get my money back once it stopped pending but that was not the case . I lost out on $112Ceona C.
Check In was very easy- great attitude employees- Helpful and attentive. The Cargo Van was brand new- !! Our Move went well to Northern VA- Returning the Van was easy on Sunday when closed- Just used the U-haul return APP on my phone- Great Rental!!Helen V.

Uhaul employee was very nice and helpful. equipment was clean, but, the fender was cable tied and when we hit first bump on highway, on way to pick up car, fender started flopping in the wind. had to detour to a safe location to stabilize fender. not really something i wanted to do within 5 minutes of picking up equipment. I will also say that Uhaul has good and bad representatives. very disappointed overall of the service. Very frustratingAnatoliyivna P.

Customer service was unacceptable. When I returned the truck I was over charged due to them returning the wrong truck under my account. Called the location to get clarification and the manager was dismissive and did not want to help. Called the 1800 uhaul and the operator was able to see the mistake which was the sites fault and submit a dispute.Natasha A.

This is disgusting. Somehow someone stole my reservation a day early and used my credit card information to pay for the usage of a truck. Ridiculous how did the salesperson not check their id or phone number. Literally fraud takes place at this business. Now It's beyond a little inconvenience because they don't have the truck I reserved and I was forced to rent something bigger than need and at a farther location. Hopefully when I speak to someone higher in 72 hours they are going to address the fact that my credit card information was stolen through their business.Angelo H.

I was totally dissatisfied with the gas mileage. Something has to be wrong with this particular truck. I drove it a little over 50 miles and used 24 gallons of gas. That is around 2 Miles / gallon. Needless to say it cost me An additional $60 in gas on top of the rental cost. This is unacceptable!Dexter H.

Truck was loud needed a muffler. It smelled of exhaust fumes. Btw I picked up truck when they were closed. The lady there is very nice and helpful. So no issue with me mistakes happen. I own a business as well so trust me I know. I will continue to use U-Haul in fact probaly next week. Lol.Eugene H.

Personally, I did not have any issues with this particular location. However, when I originally reserved my trailer, it was at a different location closer to where I needed to be and with hours that better accommodated my schedule for the day. I was notified less than 24 hours before my scheduled pick-up time that the unit I had reserved was not at that location and that I would need to go to the above location to pick it up. I asked if I could rent the next largest trailer at the current rate or get the rate for the next smallest trailer, to compensate for the inconvenience of making a last minute call when I had it reserved nearly two weeks out. They were unwilling to work with me on any front. I was very disappointed in the way they conducted their business.Travis H.

The associate didn't check the fuel level before handing me contract so I ended up paying more than I used in fuel, also told me to check the truck my self for excess scratches etc. before signing contract. Bad customer service experience especially coming from a store manager. Unacceptable!Ana I.

The person at the desk was not familiar with the system. She had to skype someone in to walk her through the entire process which took well over 40 minutes, defeating the purpose of online reservation. Then she didn't even know how or help me attach the dolly to my truck. I had to leave there and go to the Uhaul on Airline Blvd in Portsmouth to Pay them to put my car on the dolly. When I get there they realize that one of the straps is completely broken. They had to replace that. Another hour to get the part, take it a part, replace it, and load my car. Finally, when I got to Savannah Georgia, one of the straps came off the tire of the car in transit. Fortunately I was able to pull over and call UHaul on New Years Eve. Someone came, reaalized the straps had not been put on correctly, downloaded vehicle, fixed it. Needless to say I was worried about my family's safety for the the next 8 hours to Ft. Lauderdale.ANTOINE H.

I was told the original pick up location was at east home and garden in Chesapeake, va. Once arriving there I was told my trailer was not at the location and that it was at a different location on the other side of the city. I had to drive to pick up the trailer AAAA, when arriving I said I was never notified that my pick up location changed and the manager said it wasn't his job to call me to tell me the pick up location changed or if the trailer was ready. Then he didn't have my reservation so it took an additional 30 minutes for him to get all of my information. Once getting the trailer, after requesting a dolley and furniture pads, they were not included in the trailer as and scheduled. I had to call the AAAA location and request those to be taken off my bill.Katie T.

This location is poor in all regards. Hours, location, and access. I had to pick up the auto hauler at this location which was 27 miles from where I was forced to pick up the truck I rented. Where the auto trailer was parked was so narrow I could not back the 26 foot truck I rented up to it. I got it as close as possible the person at the store and I had to drag the trailer to the truck. Also on my contract the attendant said I checked the autohauler out at 8:59 a.m. How could that be when they did not open until nine? Also, it took us close to 10 minutes to get the trailer connected.mark W.

I was rented the wrong equipment, then was told on the phone to exchange it. When I arrived they said they had no record of this. I called backed to customer service where they hung up on me 3 times. I am never renting from uhaul again, I will gladly use Penske, or budget for my next move.TYLER B.
