I was late by 20 mins and truck was rented out to someone else for 2 hours. That's not the point of reserving a truck 6weeks in advance. When you are trying to move and get the whole crew ready by 1pm you were told your truck isn't ready as it was rented out to someone else. NoT acceptable.

I was contacted the day after drop off about key location. I was not told where to drop off the keys in my contract, by the person at pickup or by the app. He is threatening to charge me with a locksmith fee. From what I have read about uhaul, the company is very forgiving with keys locked in vehicle mistakes. The owner knew he wouldn't be around during my drop off and his store would be closed and I have reviewed my information and found no such information nor did I see or was told about a drop box location.

No code, no key pick up at 3pm it said I had the truck and I had to go to another uhaul to get the worker to call his supervisor to get the code (not the same location or owner) the number it saud to call had no vm set up. I finally got the van at 427 and when I went to return it it gave me the same code to put the key in and I was not comfortable leaving the van in that box with another key that could potentially be another rental. Additionally the uhaul location call me at 3pm the day of return to ask what time I am returning the truck. Plus UHauls cs number kept disconnecting after every option. I should get my money back!!!!!!!+++

We were given a auto transport that had the ramps bolted shut. We didn't realize this until we went to load our car at 4 am the next morning. So we had to wait until 7 am for another location to open. The manager there was nice enough to get us another auto transport. He said the one we were given should never have been given to any customer.

My appointment was at 5pm on Thursday. All other locations were closing down and after standing in the hot sun for almost a half an hour, calling Rudolf repeatedly and it goes straight to his VM, and the hairdresser at his address, suite 4, tells me "he'll be there right now. Don't worry"... 5:27pm - He showed up... he presents me with a truck that smelled like crack!!!! The gas tank was right above 1/2 the tank, and I put more gas before returning it, 3/4... And i get charged for it? WTH?? The kid at the Scottsdale location was great. But... I was charged for gas... Was the truck supposed to be on FULL, before being rented out? Is that it? And the guy doesn't have the time or the discipline to run the business Properly? Come on U-Haul.... My guess.... someone used it while not being rented out to cook a bunch of crack in the back! In Mesa, AZ.... The hood. Is anyone even going to read this??? It made my move that much more difficult and I got screwed on gas. 👎THUMBS DOWN👎 I've used U-Haul at least a dozen times since 2005... im a Storm Chaser.... this was the first bad encounter I've had and I am very upset about the entire thing. PLEASE CALL ME

The number on the website is not the number to call apparently. The owner was beyond rude becuase I was late even though I called 4 times that morning and couldn'teave a message and he got annoyed that I didnt answer the phone and lied saying he called multiple times when he only called once and on top of his poor customer service they never gave me the dolly they charged me for and I never got a refund and he did t answer the phone yet again.

the location said it would be open, but no one was there two hours before closing. I had to call the store owner and he had no idea about my reservation, even tho I had already checked in online. the owner kept instructing me to sign in, check-in, upload info online, and verify my info, even tho I had already checked in online!!! registered to do an IN-PERSON check-in, however no one was on-site, and I was instructed to use a lockbox outside,

Sell them only what they want. Don't pull a fast one and add stuff they didn't want on their order. When there is a dispute at least show the courtesy to contact your customer. This goes for the company as a whole. Stop pushing and insisting that your customers buy your insurance. Your website becomes very annoying very fast with all the additional stuff you're trying to sell and threaten if people don't buy them. Based on my experience I think U-Haul is an unethical company that does shady business.

The hairdressers have nothing to do with u-haul. The owner or person I talked to over phone had too much of a foreign dialect to fully understand him and he was somewhere else and could not help with disconnecting trailer. I am disabled enough that I could have used help but woman in hair dressers was not an option. I then towed trailer over to a friend's house after calling him and he helped disconnect the trailer. Getting help connecting was done by person at pickup location. The authorized dealers or drop off places are of no use to persons of my age or abilities.

Drop-off is in a mini mall parking lot, the barbershop that manages inventory had no clue what the process was for the drop off. No one checked in the equipment. I had to disconnect trailer myself and put in a parking space. The parking lot isn't level and the trailer wanted to roll away. I had to use something out of my truck to place behind the tires to keep it from rolling away. Would never use that location again.

I ALWAYS rent my trucks from Brother Rudolph! I like his character. He's honest and thoughtful and hardworking. And he's an awesome bass player! He's a family man and is in church every Sunday playing his bass. If he's faithful to look after God's house, he'll be faithful to take care of your rental truck needs. My son also gets his hair cut at his barber shop. I give him my HIGHEST recommendation.

Created a self service pick up, paid $106 for the truck. Website had an issue and did not provide me with truck code. When I called to resolve, I was told I had a store pick up (I didn't) and was told I had to take it up with the barbershop that was the pick up location. I was going finally provided a different truck on location to allow me to move (mind you I wanted almost 45 minutes for them to sort it out.). Upon dropping the truck off, was informed that I had the wrong truck. None of the information for the new truck was converted onto my order. This resulted in another 15-20 minutes of waiting and a another call to another supervisor. Overall my first experience with uhaul was quite poor and I will likely look into alternatives in the future.

Locks on truck wouldn't work. Took to long to gain access to truck. Alternate truck was parked in a spot that was very difficult to maneuver out of. Phone assistance had to call and assit me eith the lock. I was charged higher than what i was quoted

The trailer was delivered with a flat tire. Of course that was not apparent until I loaded my car on it ... so by the time I unloaded the car, swapped the trailer for another unit and reloaded I lost about 3 hours of my day to this problem.

Unrelated to this specific location, I clicked the link for after hours drop off and it took me to my contract page with no instructions. I dropped my key off in the locations box and left. An hour later while having dinner I checked the app and only then did I have instructions on how to complete the drop off. So I had to drive back to the location just to “complete” the drop off. From here I sat next to the parked truck and then found out I had to take a live photo of the odometer, something I had not been made privy to because the link I was sent did not inform me of anything other than the location to drop off at. So I had to call your support line who then told me to call the drop off location when they were open the next day. They also refunded me for the dolly thankfully. From there I found out they were closed on the aforementioned day and had to call support yet again, who then connected me to the store somehow without informing me they were going to which was jarring. After informing them what was happening I had everything settled. Until I got a call from them about an hour later asking about the dolly because my contract had not been updated to inform them of the change. Simple fix for me, the person who called was efficient, but really just outlined how UHaul's system didn't update people. I don't blame this person or their store, I am just left with a very sour taste in my mouth from renting a darned truck for like, 6 hours. It was WAY more difficult than it had to be, and it made me rather frustrated and upset.

I will recommend U-Haul over Penske for the simple reason your truck had more power for going through the mountains and moving through traffic.

Truck was dirty in cab and the back. Charged us insurance when I said no And once I saw that an hour later wouldn't remove it and said that I answered yes, which I didn't and have 2 people as witnesses. He was in too much of a hurry and was pretty much shoving us out the door to go pick up another truck. Didn't do a walk around either. Did not provide proper paperwork, only the bill of sale. We've rented multiple Uhauls in last year so know this was not right. He was friendly enough, just did a poor job of the business part.

I put in a reservation for a trailer and nobody was there when I showed up to pick it up so I had to call to see what was going on. He ended up being 25 minutes late, but everything went great once he got there. Easy checkout, easy return, no issues.

My U-Haul experience at this location, with this owner was superb! He welcomed me with a friendly greeting. The check in process was quick and smooth. The U-Haul was well equipped and conveniently parked. The owner of the company went above and beyond by offering me physical manual help loading a few heavy items and unloading during my move. I couldn't have had a better overall experience! Very highly recommended!

The cab of the truck was very dirty, but freshly so. Probably from the previous renter. I have no idea how often they are cleaned, but this one certainly could have used a good cleaning. Other than that, the staff was excellent and I'm very happy with them. I would rent from them again.

Three Items. One negative and two positives. #1. Negative. I was required to verbally say out loud the personal information from my driver's license. I believe my voice was recorded but am not sure. This occurred after giving my DL to the person there and they had typed the info into their system. As financial institutions are now using voice recordings to help identify customers, I think the person there should not ask people to read out loud that information. Other UHAUL locations do not ask clients to do that. #2. Positive. The person there was pleasant, courteous, informative, knowledgeable and it was easy to do business with them. #3. Positive. If item #1 did not happen, I could rate them excellent and recommend them to others.

First of all I went to three place and all they could tell me my internet is down can't help you go this other place here will have nothing and the send me to Broadway and countryclub and they tell me rudely like we have nothing come back Monday now I am pissed and I asked the guy to look on the computer for other location which he never offered and all he said this location where I was sent to is you only choose so how do rate you goes the Mesa location you have suck hope I never rent from Mesa location again
