U-haul In rolling hills sent me to this location because they did not have my reserved truck. I was not able to move what I had planned and had to cancel and pay the movers who were scheduled over $1,000.00 dollars. I booked the truck through several visits and through the normal confirmation process in store. U haul in rolling hills had me come in the store three times to reserve the vehicle. I did and the day of delivery no truck, not even a smaller truck was available, and the worst of all ZERO accountability. They would not take ownership at all, â€¦. The reserving agents would but not the owner would notâ€¦ truly a big let down for me and my family. We lost $1,000 dollars as result of the attempt at a move. This was not my preferred drop off location. I chose 1747 Lincoln Blvd Santa Monica, CA as my drop off spot. I was never informed that they changed the drop off to the Hawthorne location so I proceeded with the drop off in Santa Monica. After I dropped the truck off and returned home, I received a call that I dropped off at the wrong location and would be charged a $450 fee if I didn't come back to move it. I informed the employee that my reservation said that Santa Monica was the correct location. She said that their lot was full and they could not accommodate the vehicle and I needed to move it. After speaking to multiple reps, they still said if I didn't move it I would be charged the fee. So I went back to Uhaul, picked the truck up and dropped it off in Hawthorne. When I arrived (at 4:30pm) the place was already closed and I was told to park the truck on the street. There was little to no street parking and then I was charged an after hours fee. I should have never been charged that fee because I did drop it off on time at the location my receipt said to drop it off (in Santa Monica). Overall, this was a terrible customer experience and I will never use Uhaul again.CHLOE P.

Please fix the app/online "check out" process. This was the biggest headache for us. It really through a wrench in our day having to drive all the way back to the location just to "check out" the truck due to a GPS check. We tried repeatedly to check out the truck at your location when we first dropped off the truck, but when we tried to upload the photos it wouldn't let us. Finally after trying and failing repeatedly, we had to leave to continue moving. Since we took photos of the dash/mileage on the truck, we thought we could download the U-haul app on someone else's phone and have them try to submit it for us, but we couldn't even get past the GPS step. It was so frustrating! We drove all the way back to Uhaul to try and check out again late at night and still ran into trouble. It wouldn't let us upload the photos we took and we couldn't take photos inside the truck because we had already dropped the keys in the drop box!! I called Uhaul and after two phone calls and waiting 45+ minutes, I was finally able to get a hold of someone to explain the situation and document our case so we wouldn't be charged an extra fee. We found out the next day that my brother and his wife had the EXACT same issue which made us feel better that we weren't the only ones, but at the same time it sucks that we both had to go through this. We were utterly exhausted and this was the last thing in the world we wanted to deal with after moving for 14 hours. Luckily it all ended well and we weren't charged an extra fee, but I'm not sure I would every use the app/ "after hours" check out ever again.JESUS L.

Truck cabin exterior and windows were very dirty. The transmission doesn't go into Reverse properly. Numerous attempts are needed to force the lever into the R position. The driver's side mirror can't be fine-adjusted to fit different drivers.ALAN G.

We were delayed 15 minutes and the location was closed when I returned which was incredibly inconvenient. I then called customer service and was put on hold for over an hour before my call was disconnected, preventing me from speaking to anyone at U-Haul. KenKenneth M.

The technician was okay, and he did the hook-up for our trailer well, but the place seemed disorganized and when we wanted something as simple as a coupling pin, he suggested we go down the street to Pep Boys as they wouldn't have basic supplies here at U-Haul. Pretty odd. The main problem though is the PRICE!! I have advertised amongst friends as well as on social media the insanity of the PRICE! $2,500 for a trailer to go one way from California to Virginia, yet $800 if it's the other way Talk about price gouging! BETTER TO BUY A TRAILER!!!WILSON C.
Cargo Van was filthy when our driver picked it up and was told we only make sure the inside is clean and we had to take it to the car wash before we could drive it. Bad customer service - this could of been handled much better.Michelle P.

I was extremely impressed with this U Hall! Anita who was leading operations was extremely professional and accommodating. She was training Diego who was eager to learn and she was doing a great job training him and Diego was responding very well (his first day on the job). Vincent also helped when I checked in the car at the end of the rental and he was great too. I hardly had to wait at all and everyone was very accommodating. This is the best U Hall experience I ever had. Keep up the good work. - MikeMICHAEL S.

Truck was dirty inside with some trash left behind from the last to use it. That's minor - but I was pretty mad when someone called my wife and left her rude message about the truck return a few minutes after I had already been on the phone and worked out the details for the return. They treated her terrible over the phone for no reason. I'll deal with getting an extra charge for a late return, that's on me, and the dirty truck doesn't really hurt anything. But calling my wife with a garbage attitude for no reason was weak.Avery D.

I would not recommend this place reservation was for 2 days I ended needing the truck an extra day,instead of just adding an extra day to current reservation they closed the one for two days and did a new invoice adding a new fee for insurance i was trying to do the right thing but I guess they don't see or have the same values I do not recommend this place ohhh and the phone calls they don't stop calling youFREDDY P.
Made sure the uhaul is clean from the inside mine smelled like dog poop and had dog hair everywhere. Customer service wasn't the best either and reservations detail is all wrong can't even do a one way trip even though it ask you where you would like to drop off waste of moneyMAYRA O.

Poor customer service, I parked my vehicle and left it at the location with the rental truck about 45 minutes late I received a call stating I wasn't allowed to leave my vehicle on the premises and If I don't move it within the hour it will be tolled and I was advised that there were signs posted. When I returned to move my vehicle I noticed that there were no signs posted. When I rent from the Gardena location I leave my vehicle all the time.CLYDE R.
