Poor internet at this location so mobile pickup took over an hour. Then the access code wasn't sent to us so we had to call multiple times before pickup complete. Maybe it would be better during working hours.

John MI was charged a cleaning fee when the truck was in absolutely disgusting condition when I picked it up (heavy smoke smell, dirt and crumbs everywhere, some gross white stain on the dash). The truck share 24/7 didn't work and I spent over an hour and a half to try to get in touch with customer service and to be able to pick up my rental.

The smell was awful and there were ashes on the floor from a previous smoker. It was the worst I've ever seen when renting a truck.

Shaishav SUhaul 24x7 service is garbage. Location and pick-up were perfect but Uhaul services are old. living in 2021 the process on the website is still stuck in the 1990s. The location of Uhaul was great but Uhaul's 24x7 service is ridiculous.

John LNot enough space to park more than four Uhaul trucks. I had to park it on the side of the building.
Gabriella NHad trouble after retrieving the key. Got an error at the retrieve and dispatch screen on my phone. Had to live chat with someone and email her pictures of the van. I was delayed about 30 mins but we were able to get the issue worked through and I ended up emailing the support person the pictures she needed, in order for me to drive off. In other words, the online rental process wasn’t as smooth as expected, but it was fine in the end. The return was simple and everything worked fine with the pictures and key drop off.

Calvin MI had set up a pickup at a location that would be open when I arrived, with an in-person checkin. However, the day before my pickup date, I received an email notification that I’d have to pick up my truck at a different location. This location was not open, and I had not set up a remote checkin. After nearly an hour of multiple phone calls to u-Haul locations reps all over the area, someone was able to get me remote checkin information. The UHaul main customer support never got on the phone to help me- I was on hold the entire time. The local reps get 5 stars for rescuing me when I couldn’t get help! U-Haul gets 0 stars for basically stranding me and being no help. My advice is to NEVER set anything up through U-Haul. Call the direct location that you want because they are the ones that care.

Donnie GUhaul switched us from Westmont to AJ's in Lombard. Glad they did, we were able to pick the truck up an hour earlier which helped facilitate our move. It was bitterly cold the morning of our move, when we arrived at AJ's the owners already had the truck running to warm it up for us, they also pulled it to the front of the bldg. to make it easier for us and they checked the loading door before we left, good thing because with the bitter cold it was frozen, owner used pry bar to get it open. They were extremely nice and helpful. Had no problems with the truck, we were driving it 3 hours up to Galena in Northwest IL. Awesome customer service.
MICHAEL CCheck in and check out were a breeze. Customer rep was friendly helpful and very efficient. The place is is not much to look at from the outside, and the office is a little scruffy and dirty, but it is an auto repair shop. The vehicle itself was very clean and ready to go. I really couldn't recommend the U HAUL experience more highly.

I really like how efficient and kind they were, it was so easy to get what I wanted and to pay for it without a hassle. And returning the truck was a breeze. If you come in this store with an honest attempt to rent a very good truck at a great price with some very fine people then that's exactly what you will get. If I ever need another UHaul again, I'll be renting it from here.

Kathleen KFrom my experience at other locations, usually U-Haul Trucks are very clean when you pick them up. The truck that I picked up from this location was very dirty. The windshield had multiple phone mount stains and smudges everywhere. The driver and passenger seats were full of crumbs, dirt and smelled like someone had just smoked in here. The cargo bed was full of dried leaves, twigs and dirt. The truck was not clean at all when I picked it up and I only used it for about 2 hours so I didn't even bother to clean it up since it was already dirty when I picked it up. The lender should have been responsible to ensure that the trucks are returned in clean condition or fine the renters and clean it themselves. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would not return to this location in the future.
