Paid way more in gas due to the slope of the driveway making the starting fuel amount deceiving. Had just over 3/4 of a tank after 5 minutes of driving but stated tank was full at pickup.

I specifically waived CDW coverage since my used credit card has coverage for all rental vehicles. That's how I made and confirmed the reservation, including online check-in. My final contract and bill had it added is very small type. I will dispute the charge and send copies of my reservaion and its confirmation to my credit card company.

Used this facility in the past and was happy to get a space this time. Sold house and moved north to be closer to grand kids in Gurnee. Space was adequate for our needs and convenient for the time we needed it. No problems getting in or out when we needed to.

A general Uhaul comment: Self pickup process is absolutely insane. Needing to provide passport, or place of work contact, secondary contact does not make sense. If the renting person can walk into the rental place and provide drivers license photo, sign the rental agreement and leave with rental truck, then the picture of the drivers license and a digital signature should be all that is needed when doing self pickup.

While the folks at A-1 Storage were very nice, the process took WAY TOO long. We literally took four (4) pictures of my license and two (2) selfies. In the past this has been a pretty quick process, not sure what has changed.

Make it easier to access customer service via phone. Wait times are too long! Also, do not have the button automatically clicked for the $14 insurance coverage when signing up online. I had to spend a lot of time getting my money back for this!

I was delayed for 2hrs because the manager insisted that i needed a lockbox code that U-Haul did not provide to me. The movers i hired were paid without working and they left me to go do the packing myself. U-Haul still charged me full price after messing up my moving plans.

This location was fine. I had originally reserved a truck at another location, and when I got there, I was told no truck available. The lady moved my reservation to another place, and I got there and it wasn't open for 1.5 hours (and the reservation was for 6+ hours later). I cancelled it and did a search and found this location. It worked out, but I had to go to 3 different U-Haul locations over 1.5 hours when I had a reservation. Very disappointing and time wasting as I had a move to do.
