It wasn't necessarily this locations fault, however, the truck had not been cleaned out. There were even a couple of rigid can lids left in the trailer that could have ripped my furniture or even worse, cut someone. More importantly, I am frustrated that Uhaul called me the day before I was scheduled to pick up my rental (which I made 6 weeks in advance) to tell me that I needed to pick up from this location 30 miles away from my house rather than the initial location I reserved from 1 mile from my house. This made it so that I had to leave work early, pay an Uber $90 to drive me to pick up the truck, and cost me a couple of hours that I could have been working and loading the truck. It's unacceptable that after I reserved 6 weeks in advance Uhaul can just call me less than 24 hours before pickup and tell me to drive 30 miles to a different location. I will never use Uhaul again, and I will proactively make sure no one I know ever uses Uhaul for a move.

We felt at a minimum that we should have been given more of a discount.

Either way Uhaul customer service has repeatedly spun this on the us as the customer and claimed no responsibility or care for this. Literally on the phone 10 minutes ago "ALOT CAN HAPPEN IN 1100 MILES, ITS NOT OUR FAULT", yeah well the least you could do is apologize and offer compensation or a discount for your property failing during our move.

Amy B.I'd say the process was definitely a lot more complicated than I originally thought, and I ended up getting an error during the return process and had to go inside to get it sorted. Wish it were a bit simpler, but I understand renting a car is kinda a big deal. I think I just wish I'd known how the whole process would go beforehand. I mean, I started the process as soon as we were in front of the van, so the section where I had to provide a photo of my passport or lease agreement (neither of which I had anywhere near me) was frustrating, but at least I was able to use my dad as a contact. But yeah, kinda wish a lot of the process could've been done beforehand or at least that I would've known. Didn't anticipate standing out in the cold for 20 minutes.

It must be completed within 10 minutes of receipt. Furthermore, no one gave us any instruction on how to set up the auto transport trailer or load the cat. The truck smelled like cigarettes and the dash was full of dust and crumbs. The cab was disgusting.
