This was the worst experience I have ever had. My unit was not only not cleaned, but I found literal drug paraphernalia and food and bodily fluids EVERYWHERE. It took me over an hour of my own time and money to clean. It caused me to miss my loading dock reservation at my apartment complex. The customer service was appalling as well. I am beyond upset and disgusted. I sent a more in depth email to email@example.com. I ordered a furniture dolly and bags, both of which I was told were not available at my pickup location upon my arrival. While I eventually wasn't charged for items I did not receive, going through a move and learning the items you needed to complete that move are not available when you need them is frustrating.Ephraim D.

Very busy location, workers are slow when it came to getting to everyone in a timely manner. The Furniture dolly and equipment that I had reserved online were not available when I came to pick up the truck and equipment. No explanation was given.Sarah B.

I was charged for a Queen mattress cover online prior to picking up the van by Uhaul but A1 Mail store said they were an independent operator so he would not give me the mattress cover. I had already completed online the rental application and all my personal and credit info was in the system but Peter at A1 wanted me to take my driver's license picture with an iphone and send it to them I don't have an i phone and the reservation application said optional when I reserved the van, so I did not scan it but Uhaul did have my # of my DL and expiration date, and all other pertinent info. Peter, pitched a fit when I told him it was optional not required and I did not have an iphone. He threaten to not give me the van and then said he could go around it by requiring I give him a second phone # of a relative. I complied but note, I am not a teenager. This was entirely unacceptable! He then instructed me to call Uhaul to receive a refund on my mattress cover I was charged.Lora H.

The location didn't have furniture or regular dollys when I picked up the rental van, so i had tongo get it at a different location. When I returned the rental, it was after hours so I did the online return. After I had finished the online return, I realized that the key of the van wouldn't fit thru the drop box hole because it was too thick. I tried calling customer support and I wasn't able to talk to anyone after I waited for 30min. I had to open the key in half (didn't break it, just separated the two halfs), and then I was able to successfully push the key thru the hole.Michelle G.

First, clean the vehicle. 24/7 online pickup was not helpful because the check-in page said the registration expired and I had to go into the store and fix the issue with an employee. He said I was late, but why would that matter if my reservation was for 12 hours? Also the address for the pickup location was wrong.SHANE M.

This location is the best service since I started using uhaul. I went to Montgomery Village and was turn down with simple reason that I can only rent on line. I went to the hub at Snouffer school road, I was treated so poorly I have to just walk away, thinking maybe I am a black man hence this hostility. Surprise the agent himself at the desk is Hispanic very unfortunate.mpere E.
They charge you for some stupid Safemove coverage without asking you first and then when you ask for refund, they just make the change on the receipt and not on the system. You end up not getting that refund if you use a credit card. I don't think I'll go to that store again.KOMLAN A.

The Uhaul damages from previous users were not marked, the gas tank was not full, the store was a mess and extremely unorganized, even though I completed the online express checkin and paid in full they tried to charge me a second time ($1,096 more) & just over all poor customer service!Casey G.

We rented a 10' truck yesterday. The renting experience was surprisingly smooth and pleasant. Kudos for the gentleman at the counter. He was very friendly, professional, and polite. He explained all my questions and my concerns (by reading some of the reviews) in detail so I have a peace of mind. The Uhaul truck looked relatively new and clean.JYANING W.

The person at this location does not answer his phone. His card machine was down so I was not able to purchase any of the few small and large boxes that he had. I told him of previous damage on the van before I moved it -- he said, "well, you purchased the collision coverage" as if I would be held accountable. The van hadn't been cleaned. On the other side, I was overcharged initially for the van (2 days instead of one although I had it for under 24 hours). I disputed the charges and was told that someone would contact me within 2 days. My account was put into collections within a few days and no one every contacted me. In the future consider professionalism, honesty and integrity. It makes for a much better experience for your customers.Claudia C.

I was charged for a 2-day rental and 2 days of insurance even though I drove only 9 miles and kept the truck only 4 hours. According to the clerk when I returned the truck, I was due an $11 refund since my deposit exceeded the actual cost. The clerk did not know how to do the refund. He tried to call the manager/ owner but was unable to do so. He told me that he would keep trying and get back to me. A week and a half later I received a bill charging me for a second day. When I returned to the store, I was told that I needed to call an 800 number that turned out to me the roadside assistance number-not customer service.Jane R.

The gentleman that assist me with the truck rental was very nice and helpful he was the only one working that day and had more than one customer but he took care of everyone and done it very well and I think that he was great and knew how to do his job. I accidentally forgot my garage door opener in the uhaul cargo van. Upon returning to the store where I returned the van, the owner re-opened his store, retrieved the key, and let me get my garage door opene out of the uhaul cargo van. That saved me a lot of aggravation! I really appreciate that type of customer service!Glen I.

I liked the service, it was quick and the equipment was good. What I don't like is that when I signed up in Uhaul website, it said that the truck was $20 for 4 hours but they charged me $80 per day.
