Letting them park in your lot.. I'm sorry , the gentleman was very nice, and explained everything, except when leaving he said ", you have to park your car on the street". I couldn't understand why. , I'm renting a truck from you, why are you making me park on the street, when there is never any parking available.. why can't we park in lot?, if it's due to not enough room, then have us park inside the gate when we take the truck out.. I didn't enjoy the checkout process at all. They tried to overcharge for gas even though the $4 was sufficient to refuel the tank. The van had chicken and lettuce on the floor, they clearly did not try to clean the vehicle before leasing it again. Nasty.Nyia M.

On 7/14/20 I received a notification of additional charges. Those charges we applied to my account 7/23/20. On 7/28/20 I received another such notification and on 7/30/20 these too were applied. Was not given vehicle I rented; showed rep the email confirmation and she and her husband refused to give me the vehicle I rented, although there was one on site. She said that it was for someone else, and although she saw the confirmation on my email, she repeatedly said it's not her problem/this it is Uhaul's fault. Once I realized she was not going to accommodate me, I stopped to think and that is when this woman literally grabbed the keys out of my hand and said, "well I guess you don't want it, then!" I could not believe this woman actually physically accosted me! I had already hired movers so was trapped into doing business with this awful person. I have complained about this to UHaul's corporate office, but no one has helped or followed up. Supposedly there is a guarantee if you don't receive the truck rented, you will receive $50, but no one has offered this. Since I didn't get the right size that I ordered, we couldn't finish and I'm forced to rent another truck this weekend, spending more money! This is the worst experience/TERRIBLE customer service!!!Jazmine M.

I picked up the 10 box truck on 4/22. The woman behind the counter gave me the keys, told me to inspect the vehicle for damage, upon inspection I found the vehicle to be clean. There was a faint smell of gas in the back, but it's a UHaul, I didn't think much of it. Certainly not enough to consider it â€œdamageâ€. I hauled 2 pallets of mason jars and that is it. Upon dropping off the vehicle, the same woman signaled for me to â€œjust drop the key in the slotâ€. I then received my receipt and saw that I was charged a cleaning fee. I called and inquired as to why and she basically accused me of lying about the smell of gas. Even said â€œI can still see that it's set back there...why is it wet then.. it didn't rain yesterdayâ€. My response? â€œMa'am, it poured down raining several times yesterday. Including while we were transporting the jars.â€. It was a ridiculous situation that ended with me being out $50 and her telling me to take it up with UHaul. I asked her if I could come in to discuss my concerns and her response was â€œI'm not letting anyone in here that I don't have toâ€. I don't even know what that means. I'm a customer looking to discuss a discrepancy on the bill. I won't be seeking any further action towards the money or the woman, but I 100% wanted it to be known how poorly this situation was handled. I will not come back.Bryant T.

I scheduled my pick up for the Crum Lynne location. When I arrived the owner informed me he switched my pick up location to the CLIFTON Heights location. This was done for an unknown reason and I was the second person it was done to that morning. Absolutely unacceptable business practice. First I was given the wrong truck 50 inch instead of 20 and then overcharged. I repeatedly told the service man that it was wrong and he I shared it was correct. Then upon return I had to wait over 40 mins to get it inspected before leaving. After completing inspection am still seeing random charges on my account and the hula agar they is not answering the calls. My quote was about 54 with insurance I paid 91 Plus on sight and am still getting 12 charges randomly on my account. Poor service.Precious J.

I went into the store in person on Monday and asked if I could rent the truck one way. I was told that they could not do that (exact words, "we do not do that from this location". I picked the truck up on Thursday. AFTER I signed the papers and gave my credit card, the man tells me that', "next time contact u-haul and set up the one way". I ask if I can set it up he says "no, NEXT TIME." So I drive home and call u-haul. After explaining the situation, I am put on hold for ten minutes. Then I am informed that since I've already driven (2 miles) I cannot set up the one way (the woman knew before she put me on hold what your policy was -- I was put on hold because your business paradigm is nonsense). So, I'm stuck. So, u-haul puts a $450 charge on my card. Then, the next day, after I've returned the truck, they tag me for another $100 and I put $100 worth of gas in the truck. So, because of your clear unfair business practice (and I will be reporting you to the better business bureau) I paid $650 dollars to move my daughter to college. I had an estimate from a moving company for $600 and decided to go u-haul to save money!!! Mind you, the truck has a sign in the window that says $19.99.... I know that that price is the base and it depends on milage, but, I loaded and unloaded the truck and drove it when I could have saved 50 dollars and had a company move me. I'm 51 years old and it was a very long and hard day. Your treatment of me is such bad business and so so very myopic. You see, I am moving my son to college on Sunday. My daughter will be done in August and will be moving back home. Then she has purchased a house that we will move her into. Then, my son will be moving home. I would have used you. Now, I will use one of your competitors, as will everyone in my family -- and there are a bunch of us with college aged kids. Your branch employees were duplicitous and dishonest. And, your phone troubleshooter person did nothing. Zero problem solving skills. She could have closed the bill and had me drive back to the place (again, it was 2 miles) and then I could start another invoice that was one way. I mean, she at least could have offered me a discount. But, a firm NO and goodbye. This was a total scam and really an underhanded way to conduct businessJIM M.
