Was not able to park my car at the location, instead needed to find street parking. Would have preferred to have left car in a lot overnight. Was not told, and is not clear on website, that the 10dt truck I rented did not have a ramp. Also the dolly and blankets I pre-ordered were not available at the location. They offered to have them available to me at another location but that wasn’t the point. I ordered days in advance to ensure I could just grab and go. Another frustration.They did not have any locks for sale to fit the back truck hitch. So I had to spend time going to hardware store to purchase a lock to secure my items overnight. The contract stated gas tank was at 1/4. It was not. Was closer to empty. I told the attendant and he said he would note this. When I returned the truck the new attendant said he knew nothing about this discrepancy. Moving is stressful. It would be nice if u-haul vendors could be a bit more helpful and upfront with the renter.

The process of renting using the app is outstanding. The embedded pickup and drop off process with photo documentation is terrific. I’d definitely use it again.

Had my location changed the day before my pick up. When they called I was at work and the gal I spoke to let me know that she would send the information to me. She didn't explain that it would be. Virtual pick up. When I arrived the store was closed. I called and they got me to the right person to help use the lock box sice my pick already said it was already done. It took some time, but the gal on the phone was super patient and helpful. Got started a hour later then we wanted too. Truck drove like a dream 816 miles. Loved the service over all. Thanks.

I was asked if it was OK to text me and told I needed to “verify the equipment “. All that was mentioned was concerning “verifying no damage” & shape van was in. Nothing else was explained in advance, no mention was made of the fact I needed to respond on-site, plus needed to take a picture of dashboard mileage! Huge oversight on your part & why do your counter people not explain this & assume I have access to WiFi at your location in order to do this? I’d dropped the key before knowing of this. I went back a second time trying to do this process, without of course it working. This should have been the smoothest return ever, but wasn’t due to lack of sufficient help by rental person, whose only customer I was at the time. He wasn’t busy, just not helpful or conscientious enough.

Uhaul is way too expensive. I can rent a Ford F-150 for $40 and they don’t charge me per mile what a f@$king joke.

Service was great. The shop is horrific. Dirty and disorganized. The van I rented was dirty inside as well as outside. Soft wear is a nightmare to use.

Picking up my reservation took 40 minutes because the computer kept crashing. Get them a new computer. The manager was very nice.

Issues with the interpretation of the gas gauge. Either the truck gets less than 7 MPG, or the measurement was over inflated upon receiving, and return measurement was underestimated. Then attempting to charge $12 for allegedly 1/16 a tank of gas for what would amount to a single gallon of gas (since we're talking very slim margins, with a very primitive tool) is pretty poor business. It isn't like you are going out and filling the tanks up in between customers, so why should you make money off somebody else's labor, specifically a previous customer? Poor model. Tank should be full, or you should have a genuine way of measuring other than eyeballing down to 1/16 and making the gut call. I wonder what that may incentivize?

When I got there my reservation was wrong and instead of helping me work it out the girl working yelled and was rude about the situation. I had movers on the way to meet me. I figured out what to do and had the girl do it. She really needs to work on her attitude and customer service skills.

I GOT CHARGED TWICE FOR A RENTAL. I GOT CHARGED 70 FOR NO REASON. I WANTED AN IN TOWN RENTAL AND I GOT CHARGED WAY MORE AND FOR A BUNCH OF EQUIPMENT I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR. ALSO I WANT MY 70 DOLLARS BACK, I DIDNT CONSENT TO THAT CHARGE. I AGREED TO PAY THE 40 WHICH INCLUDED THE MILEDGE. THE LOCATION CHARGED ME TWICE!!!!

the check in process took quite some time. And at the end of it all the lock box my truck key was in had the code already on it so teqnically from the moment they left the key in it anyone could have taken the truck. let me make this clear... i went through the whole process got my code. walked up to the key box and it was already unlocked with the truck keys inside.

Ill never use uhaul again. I’m just gonna use Home Depot from here on out. It was a terrible experience. I ordered a truck for 9am pick up but the place didn’t open till 11am. So I was late to start my day. I have people who expect me and work for me. It was a massive inconvenience. Also, uhaul double charged me, then charged me an extra $22. They called me and told me they were gonna give me $50 for my troubles and I still haven’t gotten it. Even tho it was 5 days ago. Awful customer service. Awful equipment and terrible experience. I hope you all fail miserable.

This was a nightmare of an experience. I reserved a truck to be picked up at 9am and no one showed up till 11am. No one helped. The place was disgusting. They charged me 3 times. Aweful. You guys should be ashamed of how you treat your costumers.

I had to wait for 30 min to pick up the truck when I was the customer there. Tried to over charge me by 20 miles. Never gave me the items I had paid for ahead of time. Said they refunded me but never happened.

I appreciate they were open a little earlier then posted. Truck was a little dirty inside and blankets were a little dirty. But none of it was major concern. Biggest issue was I was supposed to get it in Tustin and was re routed and then charged for extra mileage. Plus I had movers waiting that I was paying for.

My husband and I went to this location to pick up a van that I went online to reserve. The young girl and young boy tried to give us a truck. The amount of time it took to check out was painful. I did everything online, yet they made me do it all over again. My husband wanted to rent a dolly and they could not figure out how to do that, even though we were looking at one, we walked out with no dolly! Horrible experience!

Staff did not seem to know what they were doing. No walk around truck prior to rental or return. Location was cluttered and messy .Staff did not greet or acknowledge customers. Printer was super old.

1-Van was marked as having a full tank, it did not. Upon asking the person in charge, he became rude and said "it's not big deal, I am the one taking it back anyway" he became annoyed. There is no need to be rude to a customer, I was polite and professional all along, what a shame to be treated that way. 2-van was not inspected upon return, odd, also same carefree "I don't care attitude" shown. I was not given the option to pay on the spot. Later on I receive a charge for using a credit card, yet, I was never given the option to pay cash which was my intention, I only provided my credit card because it was required upon pick up.

Overall BAD experience. This location should stop participating in the rental side of the business. They run a storage facility which maybe should be their focus. Our van wasn't ready at our pickup time because they couldnt find the keys. They attempted to call nearby locations to get us a van and one of the two just hung up on them. This leads me to believe they don't have a very good reputation in the business. Needless to say our confidence was not very high by the time they finally found the key. Upon opening the rear of the van I was overwhelmed by the smell of animal dander. There was grass, dirt, and a pile either dog or cat food in the back. I asked to have it cleaned and the owner came back with a broom. When I asked for a vacuum one of the guys left to find one and was gone so long that I just had to take the van as it was. I was on a very tight schedule because the van was to be used to transport everything to decorate my wedding. While driving I got watery eyes and an itchy throat and of course had to keep the windows rolled down due to the smell. I will NOT be back to this location and would be hesitant to use any location where the overnight drop of policy is in effect. This was the excuse they gave for the vans condition. That someone had dropped it overnight. My pickup was at NOON! Why couldnt they have fixed the issues first thing in the morning? Also, I had asked the worker as I was leaving if we could discuss some sort of partial refund when I returned. He basically said, "no". and that was that. Very unhappy about the whole thing.

Parking is tricky. No onsite parking available, only street parking on neighborhood streets. Also, vehicle was unlocked with keys inside since this was an 8 am pick up. (I specified 8 am pick up, but they told me onsite later that Uhaul didn't tell them 8 am, just anytime at night.) I suggest a keypad lockbox w key. When checking in, code to unlock can be text. Because it was unlocked all night, a bum may have crawled into the back. There was vomit in the back when I picked it up.

The guy "helping" didn't want to be bothered. I needed a suggestion based on what I was moving and he cut me off mid conversation said the 20.....I looked at him it's one bedroom w boxed he said pick which ever u want. He didn't show me where to drop the keys didn't do a look around of the vehicle just look for urself if there's something u notice come tell me. He was useless in helping me .

Where do I begin? First, they don’t rent the pads, even though it allows you to on their website. Second they didn’t provide enough gas to even get me to my location in San Diego. And when I returned it, they nitpicked $6 out of me because the gas was a less than a fraction below where it started. Oh, and my friend who followed behind me told me both taillights, and one of the brake lights, didn’t work. I’ll stop there. I won’t be back.

The mileage out was off by 10 miles, showing that the truck was out with 10 less miles than what showed on the odometer. I notified the office and they said they would note and correct it when I brought the truck back. I brought the truck back 14 hours earlier than stated on my contract. Everyone said they could not correct the mileage. For the additional $8.90 cost for the 10 miles U-Haul has lost me as a customer. My family and I have periodically used U-Haul for as long as 35 years, but on principle I will not return to a place that is charging me for 10 miles I did not drive. I feel cheated.

Very disappointed in this experience because we paid per mile instead of a flat rate for the day like it used to be and didn't get the truck for the entire day either. Things have changed a lot since the last time we used U-HAUL and we'll think twice before using them again.

I rented a cargo van that turned out to be absolutely disgusting. There were cigarette butts left in the passenger area of the van, and the cargo hold smelled like farm animals. It was obvious that no one had bothered to inspect or clean this vehicle prior to renting it out to me. I notified the A plus storage employee when I returned the van, and was informed that it was my fault for not inspecting the interior of the vehicle prior to signing for it. I will never use Uhaul again after this experience.

I rent trucks from you often, about once or twice a month. This was the dirtiest van I have ever got. There was food and crumbs all over the center console, cigarette butts on the floor, trash in all of the door compartments, and boxes and packing material in the back. Not pleased with having to clean your truck before I could use it. Upon returning the van, the uhaul computer system wasn't working correctly. My first credit card was not working, and I tried to pay with a second card and cash, neither of which would work. Had to wait while the guy called his rep and Uhaul to try and fix it, which no one could. Was there waiting a total of 35 minutes waiting to pay, while my wife waited in a car outside. Finally they told me to leave and they would figure it out later. Worst experience with uhaul ever and will have to start looking for a new rental provider.

Vehicle was clean for a cargo van but there were fast food bags behind seats, interior was not vacuumed and exterior was dirty. However, Connor was wonderful and offered excellent customer service. He was nice, professional, and made the transaction easy.

Worst uhaul experience of my life

I reserved a 10' truck for 9:30 a.m. and when I arrived they told me it would not be available until the afternoon. Every employee I encountered was either completely unhelpful and apathetic or seemed untrained. Never doing business with U-haul again.

Truck was filthy. Front desk did not disclose the inflated per mile charge for holiday (even though it was a Saturday and not a holiday). Agent was rude and had no idea how to explain the issues. He tried to call their manager and he did not answer and said that's all I can do for you.

When I walked in, the employee immediately asked me if I was a UHaul customer - I said I was and he told me I was in the wrong place, UHaul was down the street. I mentioned that this was the address where I had made my reservation and he finally went behind the counter to check and saw that indeed, I was in the right place. A better welcome to customers would be appreciated. The van had an unpleasant scent to it and I had to drive with the windows down because of it. When I picked up the van, the contract said that there was a 1/4 tank of gas in it, but the person behind the counter mentioned he thought it might be on empty so I would need to fill it up first. I mentioned that any other time I've rented with UHaul that I have only filled up after to return it to the level it was at when I picked it up. He had me pull the van to the front to check the level and it was on empty with the gas light on. As such, I did end up having to take the van to the gas station and fill it with what I estimated to use. Overall, it seemed like this location was not prepared to rent this van out.

their office made a photocopy of my DL and credit card (deposit?) then wrote down my card's CVC code. This is a little concerning.

There were three young men working there. One said he was not working but ended up having to tell the other guy, who had only been there three weeks, how to ring up and handle a truck rental. The third guy was on the computer and seemed to know everything but didn't appear to want to help. At one point he degraded the new guy right in front of customers. The shop was dusty, dirty and hot. It was not comfortable for its customers or employees. The kids working seemed unorganized and flustered. They couldn't handle two customers at once and seemed stressed out. The location seemed like an after thought.
