The reason I wouldn't recommend this site is not due to a problem with the location as much as due to the truck share program through the app. Had my wife and I known I was going to be such a hassle we would have just found an open u-haul location to get the truck. The app continually froze and almost overheated the phone.Nicole C.

There were no key's available for the truck I rented? After several calls I talked to a agent and she had me take another vehicle from the locationLarry L.
The truck was completely on empty for fuel. I immediately had to stop and get gas in fear of running out.Kimberly S.
I would not recommend using an alternative pick-up location, because there is no U-haul employee onsite to deal with issues. We ended up having to spend a good amount of time on the phone with a rep to even get the key to the truck. The app was impossible to work with. It kept freezing up or giving us error messages. My friend had to upload his picture and drivers license again, even though he had already done that days earlier. There were also no furniture pads/blankets that I had paid for. I'm hoping that charge will be removed from my credit card as requested, or it will be more time on the phone. Once we had access to the truck, it went fine but it was very stressful and time consuming getting to that point.Darcey T.

I had no idea there was false information on my file stating that the last time I borrowed a U Haul about May of 2020, I had â€œthreatened to burn the place down!â€ That was untrue. The owner of about 4200 East State St had parked 2 vehicles in a spot that was clearly marked No Parking which made it almost impossible to negotiate a trailer drop off in the rear of their building. I was angry that they had not respected the No Parking rule. I had called Rockford Police Dept as there were two people making out in an unlocked U -Haul van on that lot and walked around me in my pinned in predicament with only wanting to drop my rented car hauler! I think that was unfair of that U-Haul establishment to â€œblack ballâ€ me from future rentals. I booked a van on line and had no idea this would tie me and the moving crew up an unnecessary 30-45 minutes! Thank you for this forum to report the May 2020 incident on my U-Haul record. Please note this in your system so I can rent again in the future without any more hassles like this! KristinKristin B.

I am really disappointed with the $300 overcharge for bringing the truck later the same day. No one is helpful on the phone and all customer service is just passing to another rep. Communication is horrible and finally no solution but just an email from Matt Jones who never got back to me after I replied. I am extremely frustrated and will find a way to escalate this to UHAUL superiors.George S.

I was set to pick-up my U-Haul to move across-country and 12 hours before I received a call from U-Haul that there were no machines available. The nearest location was 75 miles away. I had no choice and was forced to drive to that location to pick-up the machine. U-Haul could not give me any discounts for the inconvenience and it was virtually impossible to reach anyone in customer service that could help me. I will not be using U-Haul again.Fernando C.

Well it was my first time ever with Cell phone rental so I fidnt know what to do in a couple of issues. 1st there was a hand truck, mattress pad, and several pads in bv the back of the truck. I didnt rent ANY if those items. also the items were thrown around the bed.Charles T.

This location could not have done more to make this any better. But 1800uhaul, is the most unafraid inadequate complete total idiots if ever there were! Never again will i attempt 800uhaul again! The online setup is a complete waste of time and owes me the cost of my rental for their failure of my rental! Thank goodness 815 Automotive was there.Teresa P.
