I am a very small female and rented a 5x8 trailer was not offered help to lift it into my truck and they did not come out to inspect the trailer and after I finally got it on my truck and went to open back door it was extremely difficult to open I had to ask someone to help meKARI S.

The vehicle was in good condition however not equipped with a snow brush and zero windshield washer fluid, which was a safety hazard. I mentioned this when I returned the vehicle and the attendant insulted my intelligence by stating "we weren't expecting any snow" (it's now mid November) rather than acknowledging the error. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know to have a snow brush ready any time from October on in Northern Ontario, and windshield washer fluid should be equipped in all vehicles at all times for obvious reasons. This attendants dismissive attitude and poor customer service skills are not a good look.Kerri B.

I've booked a car transport trailer for one day. Pickup in North Bay, Ont. drop in Osawa, Ont. I was told in North Bay: better to change for a two-day rental because of the distance, but if I drop the trailer in Osawa within 24 HR UHAL will refund the amount for the second say. The trailer was dropped off in Osawa within 24 HRS. I asked for a receipt for a refund. I was told in Osawa that I'm not getting a refund, but I can keep the trailer for one more day!!?? I need it for one day used for one day and UHAL charged me for two days rental. My story will NOT end here. I will send my story regarding this UHAL rental double charge to others to warn people what can happen when you rent from UHAL.IVAN G.

I have no complaints with the employees who looked after me, they were good. The equipment requires some maintenance. First trailer supplied had a bulb out for running lights. The second trailer that I took had a marker light out. More concerning was the disruption of the app that U-Haul requires to be used. It would not let me rent the trailer if I put in any more than 6 hours, Therese issues with the province mask meaning it would not accept the postal code. One positive is the ability to add pictures and notes on check out.Thomas S.

The representative at this location did not take an accurate photo of the gas gauge. I had to go through a lot of extra work to get my refund which I should not have had to do in the first place. Also, my drop off location was not in their database when I arrived. I had to spend an extra $40 in taxi fares to sort out this issue with UHaul before I could bring back my key to the drop off location the next day. I am unsure whose fault this is (not necessarily blaming the drop-off location) but it also should not have happened. Very POOR experience and I will not be using UHaul again.Carter T.

I have expressed once before that this person that is renting is using my email and I have asked them to please make note to ensure that it would not happen again and my request had been ignored. I've also reached out to the person that's phone number is attached to the receipt and I was also ignored by this person as well. I would appreciate it if my email was blocked from being used please. We were in a hurry to beat the rain and didn't have time to clean up the existing sand. A cigarette was also removed from near the front seat on the floor. Our staff member removed it. I had to locate the trailer myself, hooked it up myself, found 5 used blankets inside (covid!!l) then drive to the front of the store, go into the store again to get the clerk who was playing on his phone so he could come out and photograph my hook up, that he should have done to ensure it's proper installation.Shawn F.

It would be nice to offer other trailers maybe for a boat, seadoo, skidoo etc. D/t the area we live in, I would def. Rent a trailer like that. I also inquired about pickup truck but none so i to rented an enclosed 4x8 trailer n installed a hitch to my suv. Which is beneficial to me in the long run! :)JOSELYNCOLLEEN R.

I was supposed to pick the truck up at 7:00 am but the employee was 25 minutes late to work and I had to wait outside for him. Then he indicated that the gas was significantly higher on my sheet than it actually was and when I pointed it out he said he couldn't erase the pen mark he had made. I took a picture of the gas gauge before leaving just in case I had to prove that the gas was lower than he said.John Alexander O.

The online process needs to be improved. I had to call the 800 number to confirm the booking as no one called me to confirm. I needed to change my time and location and was unable to do it online because the system kept sending me to Ottawa locations. Very frustrating!Teresa M.

It's not pleasant to get into a dirty vehicle. The cab had dog hair all over the seats, garbage on the floor, spilled beverages and filth in all doors and consoles. There was a time when this was not the case. But the last decade has seen a huge decline in U-haul's vehicle cleanliness...SEANP L.

I booked a uhaul 1 month in advance. The day of pickup I received text that trailer 3 hours away. Wtf kind of booking system is this. Luckily - we forced rep to find us anything in town which he did. After 1 hour of scrambling- we got a trailer and hit the road for a 20 hour drive. I had a bad feeling with the issue of never getting to speak to a human after several attempts after no one attempted to confirm my booking as stated online. My instincts were bang on. No trailer at pickup. Never again- will highly recommend friends to never trust uhaul. Moving is stressful enough without this added drama.Jeffery C.
