Lisa StummI had a good experience overall, with a great location and good customer service. However, I faced a problem when I needed to rent a Cargo Van. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk informed me that they did not have the specific car I had requested. The only option available was a 15´ truck, which was too big for my needs and above my budget. As a result, I ended up spending around $300, which was more than I had planned.

Laura TrentThe pickup truck was perfect! I had to bring a bike to San Diego as I sold it. Unfortunately my father’s 2017 GMC suffered a suffered a blown engine and we were down a car. As a result I rented a pickup truck from u-haul and couldn’t be happier with not only the truck, but the location I rented from as well. The people at 4th street auto were helpful, professional and friendly. The truck was smooth, quiet, and it was able to fit a huge fat tire ebike in the bed. The apple carplay was a pleasant surprise as well. Highly recommend the location and uhaul if you need a pickup truck or anything else for that matter.

Cedric Davis4th st tire and auto should stick with what they know. The vehicle I reserved was given away to another customer before my arrival. Rather then help me the representative at the shop wanted me to call 1800 U-Haul to deal with his breaking the established contract. He eventually called but handed it off to another employee. All the employees I felt with seemed like they would rather be doing something else. When I finished my move I did call u haul myself. Their professional customer service representative provided me with much better help and far less time than the mechanics and employees at the shop. I wouldn’t go back to this shop for anything.

Not good. What I liked was that the employee helped put my motorcycle on the truck. Very professional and customer service oriented.

Roberto LopezI’ve rented twice now from this location and the staff is always very helpful. On my last visit, the credit card processing system for Uhaul was down and therefore they would be unable to complete the transaction and rent me a vehicle. But they were persistent and figured out a way to get a credit card authorization and enter it manually. In the end, I was able to rent the vehicle. I would highly recommend renting from this location.

Pat VasquezThis was a horrible experience. I've always had great experiences with Uhaul until Friday, May 12, 2023 at 4th St Auto and Tire. The man who processed the order was rude from the start, acting like I was an inconvenience to him. He added an extra set of blankets (I did order one pack, not two) and he also added the $20 insurance, which I was very clear to tell him NO, my insurance covers rentals. He was rude throughout the whole process, telling me to learn to listen better and that he had other things to do. When I asked him to resolve the over charge issues he said I was on my own, "We're done here" he said, looking at the door. So I insisted he correct this over charge before I would leave the establishment. He said fine, he would get me the refund in five business days. Then he said I should leave, he had work to do. I've never had such an awful experience in terms of just plain mean rudeness and being overcharged in a seemingly intentional way. The total came to $73.75 including the $20 insurance (I declined but he charged anyway) and $10 for the second pack of blankets which I did not order or use. Now my bank statement actually says I was charged $83.57, another $10 over the receipt he printed and I have in front of me. I'm so confused! Not only did I not receive a refund for the over charged items but now its even $10 more than the final receipt????? There are plenty of places to rent a Uhaul vehicle, I've used multiple other locations in LB and they were all great. Avoid 4th Street Auto and Tire at all cost!

Rachel NiederFirst, the truck we rented smelled like marijuana and had a smoked blunt on the dashboard. But we could look past that. The real issue was that the vendor mistakenly billed me for $1350 after we returned the vehicle, when my total should have been less than $50. I’ve since gotten the invoice corrected.
