I left a small package behind when I returned the u-haul. It was just a small black bag with wireless headphones and some vape nicotine. I called and after a little bit of searching they found the bag. Nice right? When I go to collect it a man behind the counter hands it to me and immediately says â€œI didn't open it.â€ Taken aback I laugh and go â€œOkay.â€. As I'm walking out I open the bag and there's a computer mouse in the bag and a charger. I walk back in and the employee goes â€œSomething wrong?!â€ I tell him that I don't know what the mouse is doing in my bag and return it and then continue to go through the bag and can't find anything of mine in it. Just random items. I tell him I don't know why these things are in my bag and ask if there's any other bag that they found. (Maybe they found two identical bags.) He says no and I tell him I don't want the bag. (Because umm.. it's not my stuff) He tells me â€œOkay I'm just gonna throw it away.â€ If I'm telling him it's not mineâ€¦ wouldn't he want to hold onto it to see if someone else claims it? Anyways, despite the theft and blatant lying it was a good experience overall. Definitely going to be keeping track of the credit card I left on file just in case these guys decide to expand into other fields of ripping off customers.Jeffrey B.
It was late in the day for returns but didn't want to keep the truck overnight. Gentlemen was helping someone else and said just leave the truck and keys snd he would sign it back in before he left. That was a Saturday and they are closed on Sundays He did not put it in the system as being returned Saturday and I got a call from Uhaul about returning the truck when in fact it was already returned. This made me very nervous for the entire day Sunday. It all worked out but I'm not sure that is good service.Barbara W.

I was charged for a â€œfuel chargeâ€ when the fuel was on full. Im not sure how this location can argue or cgarge this extra as they did t even check the vehicle when i turned it in. I was asked to had the keys while he was on the phone, completely disrespectful and unorganized.Lucero C.

I was a bit surprised by the "rental tax" of $20 and the "safe fee and environmental" fees being another $7, totaling an additional $27 added to my bill. I guess what I'm saying, is, it would be nice if these costs were made more clearly aware of, before receiving the bill. The people at this location were nice enough, and while I had a misunderstanding at first regarding the number of rental periods, they were able to quickly clear it up without too much hassle, so I commend the staff for that much Everything else went fine and the vehicle was in very good condition, I thought.James C.

Pick up took 2 hours due to them not having parts that were included in my reservation details. The employee who I initially spoke to was very friendly, so I didn't mind the wait. Come time to drop off the truck, their lot is locked and uhaul support can not get ahold of anyone to open it. They are located in downtown so public/street parking is non-existent. Uhaul support gave me a new location and directions to drop off the rented equipment. I followed their instructions and thought that was the end of my rental. An employee of 901 4th street, named Edgar, called me at 6:30am to yell at me, saying I didn't follow the instructions and that I would be black listed and never allowed to use uhaul ever again. I told him I followed the directions I was given and he demanded I pay all of these additional fees, saying he was going to charge my card on file. I told him that would be unauthorized and reported as fraud, he told me I should have followed directions. I told him, again, that I did what I was told by support. He kept talking over me and yelling at me, so I hung up on him and called Uhaul support who handled the matter from there. I was assured I followed the instructions and would not be charged any additional fees. Uhaul support was lovely. Avoid EDGAR at all costs. He does not know how to problem solve, communicate, read notes on service tickets, or treat customers. Disgusting attitude of an employee, he also lied saying the gate was not locked but I went up to it and tried to open it and it was very much locked. I will not be renting from this location ever again.Rachel H.

On Thursday when I got my rental , Jason one of the staff members was very rude when I came to the counter , with a very unwelcome attitude, very unpleasant. Please give your team members a 101 customer service lesson or pay someone to come to this location to give Jason a training on how to serve customers right and not calling customer names. The inside of the cab was dirty. There's a discrepancy with the gas reading I feel because it wasn't topped off prior to rental. Upon returning the truck, the associate was busy so he said he'd check it in and email the receipt.Kevin S.

Go over the entire contract including a secure drop off location and a Dropbox where the key. This was not told to me I was told to just park it across the street on the gate was locked. Did not inform me of where to put the key. Also didn't go over my contract and I did not know that I would be paying $1.85 per mileCortney B.

Make sure that the equipment I reserve is going to be available. I had to take a 10' vehicle because the 15' I had reserved was not there. Staff were very helpful and apologetic but their hands are tied by UHaul. This will mean I have to make an extra journey and cost be an additional $200Martin D.

The truck I picked up showed a low tyre pressure on the rear passenger side, and I had to divert my route in order to put air in the tyre. The truck should have been checked for any such service requirements prior to handing it over to customersNaeim G.

Location hub told me that I had to bring the truck back within two hours of picking up because they were closing. When asked if we can do after hours drop off, they said no because they're closing at 4:30pm and do not have a drop box. We had the truck rented from 2:30pm-8:30pm. The person was busy with the other business of auto repair. I came in once and he was busy. I went to truck to clean ans then came in again and he was busy. He told me he'd do check out by email in 5 minutes. He didn't walk to truck to go over truck. He then charged me a $25 cleaning fee. I had to drive back after I got this email and he said. They have pictures they would send. If he had just walked to truck to me we could have worked it out. I had left a box of personal things and they didn't have a lost and found.BURNESS G.

The website said this place was open until 6pm when we got there it was 5:15 and no one was there. So I did the return on website and final step was to leave keys in drop box and there was no drop box. So I drove to other close U-Haul location with keys. But since I already hit complete couldn't drop keys with them. So we drove back and put keys under front seat and locked door like instructed, I'm very unhappyMarc C.

Awful service,clerk was very rude and sarcastic. the back door kept on getting stuck, . There was no lock provided at all.. had to purchase one. And it failed. Returned it another clerk was rude .. never ever will I recommend this place to any of my friends & family especially myself..ALBERT C.
First off and most importantly, they requested a phone number for reference regarding my driving. never in my prior experience with rental companies has this been asked for. And of course they didn't call my references. After checking with a number of people they agreed they have not had to provide this information when renting a uhaul either. I felt very singled out. I am i. my late 50 , a Veteran with excellent credit references. Next time i will go elsewhere and i recommend you do the sameEugene M.

The truck was out of gasoline and there were no gas stations near by. It was a very stressful experience.LINDA K.
The U-Haul site was not prepared when we arrived to pick up the U-Haul. I reserved a 4:30pm pick up and arrived 5 minutes early. The location had already shut down the computer system and the U-Haul was not yet available. The truck was dropped off by another customer as we were waiting and was not cleaned prior to being rented out. I cleaned the U-Haul prior to returning it and left it cleaner than I received it but was still charged a $25 cleaning fee. I was also told that this is an in town U-Haul and needs to be dropped off back to the same location but there is no after hours drop off available so I had to take off work to drop off on Monday morning during normal business hours.MARK M.
