The 800 number for uhaul was horrible. They underestimated our move and on the last day I had to scramble for an additional trailer to hook up to the 15'er which was still not enough for the move. I had to leave several items behind.Dennis K.
The guy running that location called my emergency contact 5 times at 4pm to stress to them that they need to contact me and tell me to hurry up so that I can make my 4:45pm drop-off time. He also said that if I didn't that there would be enormous fees involved. This guy also told me that he did not care that there was flash flooding rain and lightning and that I "need to get everyone I know in town to hurry up and come help unload even if it is raining because the truck has to be back at exactly 4:45pm" Pretty dangerous for an employee of uhaul to demand such a thing when there is life threatening weather conditions. I plan to call Monday to make a real complaint. There is a reason this location has only 1 star on google.Rovell R.

The online pre checkin is not effective. I reserved for 9:00 and still didn't get out of there until 9:30. The store didn't open till 9:00 and that is not convenient for folks who want an early start. When I let the person know I had checked in and thought I paid the response was Well you didn't so you can either pay and rent or not rent it's up to you. If a customer gives you feedback that something isn't working right that should not be the response. Especially when your late to open your doors.Taylor H.

George ( I believe that was his name), who checked the trailer back in was very helpful. He made the process easy and smooth. I arrived at 3:45pm, which I think was just before closing at 4pm and the site was clearly open and ready to assist me, which, *gasp*, was on a Sunday and in Durango to have someone ready/willing/able to perform their job this close to closing on a weekend is almost unheard of. The young man at 4 corners river sports was attentive to my concerns about the damage. He inspected the trailer and said that we were not responsible for the pre existing damage. He was very courteous and helpful. We informed him of the haul blankets that we left in the trailer.John C.
They will tell you that you can drop it at a location. Once you arrive they will say can't drop it there and try and offer a small $ to drive 100 miles out of your way. The worst part is the guy who answers the phone is a smart ass. Told me if I wanted to make a new computer program to go for it. He's lucky I can't go see him today and teach him some manners. If I was his boss he would be looking for work.Kevin S.
George, the check in attendant was absolutely horrible. I came in, being my happy self, greeted him by saying "hey there big dawg"! He relied, "don't call me dawg, it's disrespectful, I've fought people for that". Completely ruined my experience. The truck was nasty, full of dog hair and oil in the back. Then after I dropped the truck off he called me and yelled at me for 10 minutes, telling me "I have your address, I know where you live". I will be placing a call to the corporate office first thing on Monday morning. George needs to find another job, preferably not one in customer service. I am so incredibly angry and has made me rethink my business with this location. These calls hopefully are recorded and I would honestly like a refund for the dirty truck and horrendous customer service.ANTHONY G.

This was an appalling experience. After checking twice with U-Haul operators that the truck would be available, we arrived here at 7 AM with a truck share code that didn't work. We called U- haul and were on hold for a half hour then switched to the truck share phone number where we were on hold for another 10 minutes after which we got an answering machine. We came back when the office opened at 9 and the service rep couldn't find our truck. They told us to come back tomorrow! We had movers booked from 8am until 10:30. At 10am it was finally determined that the truck we had booked was mistakenly given to someone else. The manager had the representative retrieve our truck, but our movers had to leave. This entire scenario cost us time, money and aggravation, not only putting us behind on our moving day, but also the next day when we arrived late for the movers arranged to unload the truck. We had ordered 48 blankets but given only 13, thus furniture was scratched during the move. We were offered a $50 compensation for a series of errors made by U-Haul.Patrick O.

We got the truck with only a quarter tank of gas. I have rented from various U-Haul locations over the years and always feel more comfortable when I have half a tank or more to start with. I don't want to have to add gas before I even start loading the truck. Other than that, this location was AWESOME. They were busy but very friendly and helpful.Benjamin D.

They called and said pick up the truck at 8:00 AM' Went there, nobody there. Came home and called and they said 9:00. My friend had a doctor appointment so we couldn't get back there until 10:15. Then they needed a contact phone # which I did not have with me. Sent friend back home to get it. He called twice and they didn't answer the phone, so he drove back into town.Susan C.
