The check engine light is on in the truck. The ignition has to be jiggled and the key pulled out slightly to start the truck. The store owner forgot to give me a dolly but charged me for it so I had to go back and get it. I had the truck for under 6 hours but was charged for 2 days. The owner advised me that he adjusted me account and that I should have received an updated receipt. He advised me to call the U-Haul customer service so they can adjust my bill. The location was great for for I needed to pick up, but kind of shady over there, not best area. The truck felt like it was falling apart when you were driving it, drivers door needs work. Also, truck was having a hard time getting into gear.Sharon K.

Regarding the online rental process - the app asks you to verify the mileage and fuel levels before you've been provided the key code to access the remote lockbox to get the key to unlock the vehicle to check the mileage and fuel.Steve K.

The location is slow and the systems for check-in antiquated. It took apx 30-mins for check-in. Upon return I was wanting to take out the larger truck but after waiting apx 15-20-mins for the employee to take care of the couple in front of me I gave up and went back home to find an alternated location. This location kept saying there were system issues but they were making contract copies on an old multi-function machine and even that took forever to get done. I think the couple in front of me seemed agitated that their checkout took way too long as well although everyone was trying to be polite. The store said they do it as a convenience for their customers but I'm not really sure how taking so long to do a check in/out is a convenience to anyone. I suspect It's just a recruiting mechanism for this location in the event that someone is physically moving and needs locks keyed at their new location. Their staff was very nice but that's about all I can say about this location. It's not a typical U-haul rental experience for sure. It definitely didn't take that long to be in/out of the 51st & Glendale location I was at within an hour or so later so whatever systems issues the 35th Ave location was having wasn't impacting them although I was told that online user experience was being impacted by systems issues lately.CRAIG H.
My truck I requested was not available at any location according to a phone call 14 hours before we needed to truck. We had to settle for a smaller truck which meant more trips to and from. They changed the location and lowered to price a bit so we could actually continue with the move. The location we ended up going to was just fine. The overall experience was very frustrating.Dave E.
After submitting my reservation online & also checking in I still spent an hour at the uhaul location. The 2 people working there who seem to be the owners of lock & safe I'm assuming they 3rd party for uhaul & they made it clear that they hated the fact that they had to deal with uhaul. My 26ft truck didn't come with a pad lock on the back door I was forced to purchase one for $14 at the lock & safe from the 2 people handling my order...last I was qouted $265 for my rental after going yo uhau location it ended up being $330... horrible customer service.Radu C.

I just wanted to say that I have an older IPhone and it doesn't have the most updated operating system. So I had a little trouble with the online check in, but the customer service rep I called was very patient with me and immensely helpful!! Thankfully a lot of what she had for info on the iPhones was for the newest but she still explained it in a way I found it on the old system. It's silly I know and the explanation is all over but I just wanted to make sure they got noticed they were excellent and helpful. Also the gentleman at the pick up location was very helpful, friendly and fun! I would recommend that location a thousand times over!!RYAN C.

Online said the equipment rented would be ready in the trailer for 24 hr pickup. The dollies were not. It's a good thing we decided to pick up during open hours, otherwise we'd have to make a seperate trip again. This location is dirty, the worker is rude and makes inappropriate jokes, and making me write my personal information down on a slip of paper? It was worrying, why did he need that again for uhaul (he claimed they required it) when I already gave it online? And it's literally a piece of paper! No uhaul logos, just plain paper! I have always picked my dropped off location!. I received an email to drop it off way on the other side of my address. By 11am. New to me. On top of that! I called and told them I'm running late. It was 10:51am gonna stop put gas. They took the keys. No walk around! Or telling me about my deposit. I cleaned it. But still paid 12.50 for the cleaning. plus 40.00 extra day! Charge . The 24/7 option to pick up the vehicle was not working. The vehicles are parked across a parking lot away from the trucks and it took a few minutes to figure out which business door was the correct one to pick up the keys. In all fairness it was more the nationwide system of U-Haul and not that particular location. But the maintenance on the truck should have been taken more seriously.
