When equipment isn't available at the location the customer initially chose to pick it up from, CALL THEM! Enough with the "we sent you an email" nonsense. Most people aren't glued to their email. Because no one thought to take the time to call me and inform me that the equipment I rented wasn't available, I had to drive an hour round trip just to pick up the truck, while people were outside of my house waiting to help me move. The miles I had to pay for nearly doubled. Also - thank you for whatever the hell that stick substance was and the half-eaten bag of cookies you left in the cup holder for me.Thomas B.

Please Sanitize and Clean Vehicles more thoroughly also perform routine maintenance check's daily or weekly performing visual inspection of all mechanical and fluid levels to vehicle specification so customers can pick up vehicle's free of safety hazzard and leave at scheduled pickup time any consideration will be greatly appreciated Thank youMURRY G.

The location did not map properly on Waze, I ultimately had to call for directions. As a local to the area, I actually consider that part of 130 the North bound side. Upon return it did not allow me to share my location (after hours) either. I then spent close to 30 min on hold + finally discussing the issue with U-Haul. Lastly, the box by the office door clearly looks like where you should drop they key but then you turn around after and there is a U-Haul drop box. Just poor usability that further added to the frustration of not being able to share my location. After I received my final invoice today, I learned I was also charged for insurance on the rental despite having declined the option.Brian G.

Cargo van was extremely clean. The driver/ passenger area was very evidently cleaned. You could still smell whatever they use to clean the vehicles. Lots of other places I have rented from don't clean to this level of detail. During Covid times, this reassured me that I would be safe renting this vehicle.CHRIS F.

Had reserved Truck and 2 dozen furniture pads on 12/4 for pick up on 12/26. Did not have furniture pads when I picked up truck!! Not knowing availability of truck until 3 days before pick up was very nerve wracking.... Windshield wipes were terrible!!!JOHN S.

Vehicle maintenance needs improvement. Im a mechanic by trade, for whatever that is worth. The truck i was given had a low tire, which needs to be replaced regardless because the sidewall is coming apart, and there was nowhere at the facility to add air to the tire. All interior dome lights in the truck were completely non functional. After dark, unloading was being done by cell phone light. The interior of the cab as a whole was filthy. And the windows and windshield needed to be cleaned in a very dire way. The truck also had some severe tire balance issues (in the front end) that caused the truck to shake very badly at most speeds. I ordered 2 hand trucks, 1 furniture dolly, and 3 dozen moving blankets. The only equipment that was made available to me upon pickup was the blankets. Overall I'm very disappointed with my entire experience with uhaul during this move.Jonathan C.

I did not request my vehicle pick up at Pennsauken. I requested my pick up at Bridgeton and was not given any form of communication that my pick up was changed. I was very disappointed in the people at Brodgeton; they offered no help at all amd overall didn't seem to care about their customer. I had to drive an extra 100 miles to get my truck and back to where I was picking up my stuff. Overall, communication needs to improve drastically. Uhaul did not uphold their end of the contract and I was very displeased with Bridgeton. Pennsauken, however, was very pleasant. The workers were very helpful, understanding, and courteous when I arrived. The two locations were completely night and day to each other.Jonathan S.

The windshield on the truck was very dirty and hard to see at night. Was not told how to properly return the truck after hours.. the next morning they lied about the gas level being below how much I took it out with.. good thing I took a picture before I left the truck or they would've charged me double the amount of the rental. Now I am inconvenienced to get my money back. Didn't call me before they charged my card for the extra wrong amount.YAKITA D.
There isn't much to improve; the counter staff was patient, friendly and easy to work with. I hope I never need U-Haul again in my lifetime, but if/when I do, this is the place at which I'd prefer to do business.John F.

I booked the van at 12, left it on the lot and didn't pick it up until after 1cameras can prove this ; in addition to using it literally around the corner and because I went to get gas and arrived at 1:30 I was charged an extra day. No mercy at all!!! Never use UHAUL againDELVIS R.

This location was extremely helpful and the only reason that we actually got a van that day. Everything that happened with U-Haul before we got to this location was not convenient. I had to edit my reservation several times because several different people failed to tell me that there were no vans available. Please call your customers and let them know that nothing is available instead of leaving them hanging. After someone edited my reservation over the phone, I was directed to another U-Haul location that said they had confirmed my reservation but did not have anything available when I got there. That location then sent me to a 2nd location where I had to do a self check in. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for "approval" even though they had edited my reservation to pick up at the new location. I also tried to call customer service at this time, was on hold during that wait, and never got through to anyone. Then we went over to 21st Century Storage. This was our 3rd location of the day and we finally got a van. The person working there was extremely helpful and is the only reason we got our reservation. It took us 2 hours that morning to finally get something, which is really unacceptable. There are too many loose ends in the system and I do not plan on using U-Haul again.Casey V.

Be upfront with the customer as far as where the location of the pickup is. I was told that I can pick up the truck at a location and received a text letting me know that it was to be picked up at a further location which added mileage to my rental. They did however give me a discounted rate on the mileage because of the mishapwilfredo C.
Please Wash & Check all Vehicle Fluid Levels and Sanitization Cleanliness Prior to Rental-Purchase also Check Tire pressure + All Electrical Components, to Ensure Safe Travel for Consumers who may be pressed for Time Customers Should not have to sterilize the Interior of any Vehicle prior to leaving the premises which in most cases my wife and I have not had any major problems also, Jim and Carmen @ 21st Century Storage Pennsaukenn location are Great People with Great Customer Service Skills would definitely Recommend to family and friendsMurry G.

The reservation experience was a nightmare. My original reservations was set for 10am pickup. However, no one informed me my reservation changed to 12pm. I only found out when I called the Uhaul location and they informed me my reservation was changed to 12pm. Then when 12pm came, I was told it wasn't going to be ready until 1:30pm. And then when 1:30pm arrived, I received a call saying the truck was broken. It wouldn't have been as bad if someone informed me that my original 10am reservation changed, but never got a call, email or text.Joseph L.

Walked in with an item to return along with my paperwork for the truck and trailer. I was told that They didn't do returns, and I needed to drop the trailer in a different spot in the lot, unhook the trailer, then park the truck again. They also didn't check to see if the hand truck was in the back of the truck, nor count all the pads I was returning.Kirk Y.

The inside of the cabin was dirty. When I wiped with paper towel and sanitizer it was black when I wiped, in some areas, Steering wheel not as dirty, but still not clean, cup holders dirty. The equipment needed some servicing, I had not driven truck before, but sometimes going up hill it would only go 30-40 mph, Other Uhauls would pass me going much faster.Julie-Anne E.

The truck did not seem to be wiped down. While wiping down with disinfectant wipes, there was quite a bit of grime coming off. There is also no info on COVID measures, either online or in the store. I was not successful trying to set up no touch mobile verification and check in. It seems to me the process is a bit onerous. The staff is very friendly and attentive at this location.
