Gurpreet H1. I was shuffled to another, farther away, location to get my truck, which incidentally was 2. Not the vehicle I reserved. I reserved a cargo van, but got a 10 foot truck because the van was NOT available at the location I was shuffled to. 3. I reserved both blankets and a dollie to help my move and NEITHER WAS AVAILABLE at rental time. The owner of the store rented me his ‘personal’ dollie, but blankets were not to be had. 4. I had reserved for 8 hours, but between the van-to-truck switch and the shuffle to a different location, it somehow switched to 6 hours and after repeated statements to the clerk that I needed it for 8 hours, it never got changed. As a result I was rushed during my move to the point I forgot the dollie and had to drive back to pick it up to return it. 5. The truck I was given, while clean, had the engine trouble light on, and the drivers seat sagged on right side which made it feel like you were constantly slipping off the seat. For everyone using the online portal to rent a moving vehicle, know that if you use a third party U-Haul franchisee, you will probably NOT get what you reserved.

Joanne TI used 2 trucks in 3 days, ended up filling up gas more than required and the cashier at the station could do nothing to compensate for what I paid extra he says he would only get a little commision for the service and the gas goes to uhaul so with suchh attitude i would not reccomend anyone

Dave CThe vehicle had bald tires and I lost control a few times on the highway. There was a check engine light on that I mentioned before I left and they didn't care. The truck made a horribly loud exhaust noise and filled the cabin with exhaust fumes. The tank was labeled as full but wasn't. I broke my personal ice scraper trying to clear ice before driving and they didn't provide me with a replacement. I had to buy one from them. The driver side windshield wiper was broken and the passenger mirror wasnt adjustable and made it impossible to see clearly. This was the worst experience I've ever had. If I could give a negative stars I would. I hope this location closes so no one else has to go through what I had to. I hope that you see fit to reimburse me for this nightmare experience.
ROBIN CI had a cube van. The vehicle is unsafe. There is a major exhaust failure between engine and muffler. Danger of exhaust fumes entering vehicle. Also there is the evident exhaust noise. The vehicle attendant at the rental location clearly hears the exhaust noise every time a vehicle is returned, but sadly is unwilling or unable to act on this obvious safety failure. Also there is a lot of play in the steering. This US vehicle, in Canada, has more then 100,000 miles and badly needs qualified safety check.

TEKLE EI ordered a dolly and 6 furniture blankets for this rental. Currently being disabled, I had to take these items across the parking lot and load them myself. I just feel that the service could have been a little better.

Ashkar LThe staff were very disrespectful. There was a mix up on their part but did not once apologize. The staff did not do a walk through with me or explain anything. The worker put the key on the desk and motioned to the parking lot that the truck was over there! The cab of the truck was very dirty and the window so dirty that it was difficult to see through. The Riverside Uhaul is not a reputable company and I recommend to rent your Uhaul from a different place in Red Deer.
lisa lThe vehicle had a cracked windshield and was in need of a wash. Onlyb1 key was provided and the ignition was tampered with. I was charged for 4 days, but only had he vehicle for 3 days and 24 minutes. I returned it on time but the processing time put me into the next day.
Christopher TThe cab of the uhaul smalled so bad, the windows had to be all the way open. It was a heat warning day in Calgary so it made it impossible to use the truck properly and use the air conditioning. Truck only had 3/8 of a tank of gas and when returned, was demanded to pit in more gas even though it was returned with the same gas it wad picked up with. This is why the tank should be full upon pickup so you can simply fill it up. Gas station at temple drive and 52 st. NE Calgary is ripping uhaul clients off for gas by doing this. Told the attendant I felt ripped off and he responded by telling me to " Fuck off". He refused to do my checkback and helped himself to my credit card. Have covered this complaint to uhaul. Will never use uhaul again. What idiot tells a customer to fuck off and not do the paperwork required and demand extra gas money???? Uhaul has gone down to the point its a rip off and can't be trusted.

Shikhar SLoved the fact this location had a gas pump for me to bring the fuel level at the same level as pick-up. Very helpful owner at this location. First time moving to Calgary and it seems like this location is very popular. Will rent from this spot again, if ever needed.

Ryan AI booked the u haul for Sunday at 8am. It got moved to 9am which was fine. When I showed up at 9 to the location I wasn’t able to pick up my truck. It was at a different location. I would have never known unless I called and wasted about 20 mins trying to figure this out. Super stressful situation. The guy at the temple location was helpful.
