I placed the order on line and included the rental of a furniture dolly. When I went to pick up, there was no dolly available. The stressed out guy at the counter (there was a line out the door and he was the only one working the counter) acted stress-out and was not helpful at figuring my option other than cancel and reschedule the move. I took the truck and figured we would make one dolly (mine from home) work. The guy who took me to the truck wasn't happy about the rain and basically gave me the keys and took off without giving me any instructions or letting me ask questions. I tried to make sure he knew there was damage to the truck, but he was off like a bolt. I took pictures of the damage in case there were questions on my return. Not a positive experience.

I was not aware of an extra $20 that was charged. The return was scheduled for after hours and I was not able to successfully do self-check out. I didn't worry about because I was told I didn't need to do it but I had that option

We stopped to discuss a one-way rental of a 15' truck at the West 7th St. Location in St Paul. We were not told they would not have a 15' one-way truck available. I booked the truck for pick up and got a confirmation for that location as we live nearby. I got a text the day before that our pick up was at the St. Paul Rice St location which was miles away. I called the West 7th St location and the man I spoke to said they did not rent one-ways there. He could not explain why I was not told that when I stopped there. He could do anything to help me. I called the University location which luckily had a 15' truck the date and time I needed it. The West 7th location staff need to be trained better. The do not represent UHaul well. I will never go there again. The person who changed the reservation for me was excellent as was the staff at the University location.

The employees really worked hard to accommodate, especially during one of the hottest days in the year. Was able to get my rental trailer in a reasonable amount of time and the return was easy as well, especially for the amount of room they have in the lot.

One person at the desk who was on their phone AirPods the whole time and another walking around the garage area, while the line stretched through the whole store to the door. I had done everything beforehand so I just needed to be told which trailer to take but it took 20-30 minutes to get through the line. She also had to leave everyone in the store to hook the trailers up which made everyone annoyed.

The phone center with non-human interaction is not working properly. It would ask me to make a selection and every time I would do so it would go into LOOP mode stating the same questions all over again! I tried calling the U Haul Center directly but the wait time was always over 45 minutes. I never could talk to a human. Some lady from U Haul Corp called me today at around 9:30am and asked me if I was going to Pick up the Cargo Van I asked for several days ago. I told her I could never verify that I had a rental and the corp website told me to go elsewhere! So I asked the agent if she could guarantee that I would get a Cargo Van like I wanted and she said YES, they had one at my location. So I take a Bus to get there and that took about 30 minutes. I tried to call them again but I couldn't talk to a human. I get there and they DON'T have a Cargo Van! They then offered me a 10'ft truck which I used instead. I know that my mileage was greatly higher with that truck! But at least I got all the things I wanted to move moved! I returned the truck during business hours and a nice man said he would check me in. I overfilled the Gas but I just wanted to go home. I wish your company would improve the communication issues.

Prechez Anderson was a great customer rep at this location. My original reservation was for the Como location not this location. Como location didn't even call me and tell me to go the University locatin.

Staff are pissy and difficult to reach. Calling them at the direct line to their location sends you to the regular U-Haul customer service number complete with hour long wait. After turning in your equipment, they'll call a day later demanding you turn in the equipment you've already turned in. No way to reach them besides sitting on hold for an hour to reach a customer service rep not even at that location. Trying the call back system is hit or miss for if anyone will actually be on the line when you get the call back. If you do manage to reach them asking for an extension on your rental, they'll refer you to the place you picked up the equipment, which that location will then refer you back to this location, only you won't be able to reach them without hours of waiting again. Garbage management.

When we were picking up there were technical difficulties on the uhaul back end that caused us to have to re-enter the rental information multiple times. Anthony Duke was doing everything he cluld to keep the backed up line moving. He was working at two workstations simultaneously tontrybtobget people processed as quickly as possible. I wanted to make sure that you understand how good Anthony is at keeping chaos under control. I was very impressed at how well he handled the crowd and was working through the problems on the website to keep the line moving. You need to make sure that the backend systems can handle the rush of a month-end weekend level of traffic to keep the lines moving more quickly.

The van we rented was horrible. Brakes didn't work and steering was awful. I would suggest getting the van you let us rent off the road ASAP! Very dangerous to drive, would not recommend. Also only one man working when I picked up my reservationâ€"used a coupon from last time because of an awful experience and again! An awful experience. A $15 coupon won't work this timeâ€"I'm hiring movers next time and definitely staying FAR FAR AWAY from any uhaul company.

Computer system kept locking up so employees had to keep restarting systems which made check in process very slow. Also your app would not allow me to upload my driver license before showing up, it was not until the store sent me a link that it worked.

Had trailer reserved at energy drive location.Mgr said my wiring faulty so spent a long time checking ,finallyhooked to different trailer which worked, then proved to Mgr it was his wiring faulty and lousy attitude..Didn't have another 6x12 so went to university-they hooked me to wrong unit then switched.Took 4 hrs to get reserved trailer???

Staff hooked up my trailer incorrectly and damaged my power prong. Now will need to get that fixed. When confronting the staff member apon drop off. I felt harassed when trying to talk about it. On top of it the trailer was in poor condition and felt unsafe to drive. I appreciate have a trailer available for the weekend but made my reservations a while back and should have received quality equipment to use.

Everything went smoothly. I did the online check in because I needed the truck before they are open. The online checkin system was smooth, the truck I rented was easy to find, easy to access, and they had loaded the equipment I rented ahead of time. When I returned the truck it was after they had closed but a staff person was still there and kindly guided me to a parking spot. I'll be using Uhaul again, and feel good about this location.

Watch out for the safetow scam at this location. They add it on to your bill without asking you whether you want it or not. I thought Anthony was a good guy but apparently not. I called to have the charge refunded and he said he would take care of it. He didn't! Don't go to this Uhaul place unless you want to get scammed!

My rating would have been one star if it weren't for Anthony. The original guy up front was moving at a snail's pace and the tension was building as the line lengthened from 2 to 4 and then 8 parties waiting in line. That's when Anthony walked in like a breath of fresh air to save the day! Anthony took less than 5 min to go from finding my reservation to hooking the trailer up to my jeep and confirming that lights and safety measures all worked with an amazing rhyming poem. We can't possibly thank Anthony enough. He was a lifesaver to me and my father. And with managers like Anthony, U-haul will create many loyal customers! Anthony definitely deserves a raise!

I reserved items that were unavailable on the day on rental. I was then overcharged for the unavailable items even though I didn't receive them. I was also overcharged for other items as well as though I had rented the van for 2 days instead of the 8 hours I actually used it.

I have left the truck with fuel level where it was supposed to be but they charged me extra 4 gallons. It's a pure robbery coz it happened to my friend not two weeks earlier, where he left it FULL and they charged him extra 5 gallons in his receipt. This must stop.

I really liked the customer service; the team at 883 University Ave is great! There were just a couple of “blips” in my rental experience there. Good communication about certain choices like the “Safe Move” protection for $112. were not well explained. I was not given a choice to opt in or out. If I had not viewed my final receipt I would have paid that “Safe Move” expense that was added to my bill. Better attention to detail in keyboard entry and account details would be good. At one point, a reservation manager told me over the phone that I had 2 rental vehicles out. I told her that I only had the one. She discovered that another customer with the same last name as mine was included on my U Haul running tab. (A big “Oops!”) I am grateful for her sharp eye and good communication skills. I think that human error played a part in the little mistakes that could have resulted in troubles & greater expense.

The online app crashed several times as I was checking in my trailer after hours. I tried it several times, kept crashing, said to follow the night time drop off steps, which I did. I called back the next evening and they still hadn't checked it in. Ended up getting charged for an entire extra day -- because your tech didnt work properly. Frustrating. Between this and a terrible time getting my hitch installed I am likely done with UHaul, will go with a local business to rent future trailers.
